About the Role
Each year, we reach around 35,000 children and young people through the delivery of our Financial Education Money Workshops in schools, colleges and community groups across the UK. The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, insurance, uni money and much more. Children and young people love having the chance to talk about money, ask questions and think about what they are going to do with theirs!
We are looking to recruit a member of staff to help carry out the day-to-day management of the Workshop content, resources and delivery through our freelance trainer network, as well as deliver some Workshops directly to children and young people themselves. The Community Support Worker will provide direct, practical and person-centered support to mentees approaching release from prison and after release into the community. CHOICE IN HACKNEY is seeking an experienced Advocacy Trainer and Mentor to join our Choices Into Work Project and play a key role in developing skilled, confident and effective advocacy practitioners.
This specialist role combines accredited training, mentoring, and advocacy practice. You will be responsible for eight trainees/mentees each year and will develop and deliver an accredited training programme in either Disability Hate Crime or Disability & Domestic Violence, according to organisational need and learner demand.
You will design accessible training materials and deliver engaging sessions using presentations, group discussions, case studies and practical exercises. Training will cover areas such as legislation, criminal justice processes, safeguarding, evidence gathering, advocacy, partnership working and the rights of disabled people. Domestic violence training may include safety planning, risk assessment, child protection, MARAC, housing, court processes and trauma-informed practice.
Alongside training, you will provide one-to-one and group mentoring throughout trainee placements. You will help trainees apply classroom learning to real advocacy situations, develop professional confidence and resilience, identify learning needs and build safe, person-centred advocacy skills.
Where appropriate, you will maintain a small advocacy caseload, supporting disabled people experiencing Disability Hate Crime and/or Domestic Violence with information, practical support, rights, safeguarding and criminal or civil justice processes. We are seeking a creative, organised and audience-focused Social Media Officer to help myaware develop a more coordinated, consistent and effective social media presence.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in how myaware reaches, supports and engages people affected by myasthenia, as well as families, carers, supporters, fundraisers, healthcare professionals and the wider public. Working closely with the IT and Digital Communications Manager, Fundraising, Professional Services and colleagues across the organisation, you will help plan, create, schedule and evaluate social media content across myaware’s channels. You will support the development of a social media content calendar, create clear and engaging copy, produce accessible and brand-aligned graphics, and help teams turn their knowledge, updates and campaign activity into content that works for myaware’s audiences.
You will also support the development of reusable templates, clearer content processes, social media reporting, and appropriate use of tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud and AI-assisted content creation. The role will involve helping myaware make stronger use of formats such as posts, carousels, Stories, Reels, short-form video, polls and direct-message-led campaign activity, while ensuring content remains accurate, sensitive, accessible and appropriate for a health charity.
The Social Media Officer will be predominantly home based within the UK, with occasional travel required. Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with experience creating social media content for an organisation, charity, campaign, community group or similar setting. You will be confident writing clear and engaging copy for different audiences, using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube or similar, and creating or adapting simple graphics using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent.
You will understand how social media can support awareness, fundraising, services, membership and community engagement, and you will be able to plan and organise content across multiple priorities. We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

We help individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. About the role
As HR/People Officer, you will provide high-quality, accurate support across the full employee/volunteer lifecycle, while also contributing to employee and volunteering relations, and continuous improvement of our People & Culture services. You will be a role model for our values and a key contributor to a positive team culture
As HR/People Officer you will be part of a team who support a headcount of approximately 250 employees, 200 volunteers and 150 self-employed individuals across Hertfordshire. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all individuals employed or volunteering within Hertfordshire Mind receive advice, guidance in a responsive, knowledgeable, and customer-focused way.

Main Purpose of the Role
Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime. Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester.
As the post holder you will be responsible for delivering our front-line work to young people, parents and other adults (professionals). You will work in schools and in community settings across London to generate impact for young people using Khulisa’s trauma-informed approach. This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel regularly to various locations in London and/or Manchester as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role, to deliver aspects of the programme, and to engage with other stakeholders and colleagues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for Programme facilitators based in London or Manchester/North west England
Programme Delivery:
· Facilitate the delivery of sessions in our flagship Face It programme and modular workshops to young people, our Nurturing Connections programme for parents and carers, and our trauma training for professionals.
· Facilitate delivery to a high standard in all settings (schools, youth services, and community spaces), ensuring that you are always taking a trauma informed approach.
· Facilitate various youth participation workshops, co-delivering with young people as much as practicable.
· Respond to any questions, disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised during sessions and follow up where necessary with the relevant safeguarding teams or, where consent is secured, make onward referrals for additional support in specific cases.
· Contribute to the continuous development of all aspects of the programmes, sharing new ideas and using best practice.
· Participate in the periodic review and updating of programme contents and/or development of new materials with relevant colleagues, ensuring that materials used across the team are always uniform and consistent.
· Maintain accurate records of programme activities, including record of input, output, and impact as well as demographics data, and support relevant colleagues in ensuring effective monitoring and periodic evaluation and reporting of impact generated.
· Manage relevant budgets and ensure a value for money approach to all expenditure, making sure to keep within budget.
Programme Coordination:
· Take direct responsibility for logistics of individual programme delivery or activity, including scheduling, resourcing, staffing, and liaising with schools and other partners to ensure effective delivery.
· Work with colleagues in Impact and Evidence team to provide programme data as required to effectively demonstrate impact generated through your delivery.
· Where possible during delivery, generate multi-media content for the use of colleagues in communications to use in updating the Khulisa website and for social media.
Stakeholder Management:
· Support the Programmes & Participation Manager in the building and maintenance of strong relationships with delivery partners - schools, community organisations, and other important stakeholders.
· Contribute to any work to use learning from delivery activities to redesign existing programmes and/or develop new pieces of work as required.
· If required, represent Khulisa at events, meetings, and conferences as required etc.
· Support the onboarding and training of Associate Facilitators and volunteers as necessary.
· When required, support the onboarding and training of other permanent programme staff.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
· Objectively review the successes and achievements of each delivery session facilitated against programme or activity objectives, identifying and implementing opportunities for making ongoing improvements.
· To actively deliver all elements of the Khulisa programme, including work with adults and Khulisa’s Young Influencers.
· Depending on experience and qualifications, to be receptive to any other duties as required by the line manager and in line with the needs of Khulisa.
· To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other professionals, and to participate in team meetings.
· To participate in personal supervision in accordance with Khulisa’s supervision and performance appraisal policy and attend agreed training as relevant.
· At all times to carry out the responsibilities of the post in a manner consistent with promoting equalities and diversity and demonstrate respect for colleagues and Khulisa’s aims and values.

The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership appointment, reporting to the Director of Resources and leading a Finance team of around nine, including the payroll function. You will act as our lead on all matters of finance, liaising with our Federation members where necessary, providing expert support to our Income Generation Directorate (Fundraising and Retail) and other internal Directorates, embedding financial insight into revenue-generation strategy and working in close collaborative partnership with senior colleagues both within those teams but also across the Federation.
