Role Details

Job Title: Head of Programmes and Membership

Reporting to: Executive Director

Location: Hybrid/ Flexible/ IIC Office based. We are currently looking to relocate offices within central London. We are flexible on approach within a hybrid model. This can be discussed at interview.

Starting Salary: £47,500

Hours of Work: 40 hours a week with 1 hour lunch break (paid).

Contract: Full-time and Permanent. Requests for flexible working hours will be considered, including requests to work 80% FTE.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership, Membership and Regional Engagement

• Develop and deliver a cohesive programme and membership strategy aligned with IIC’s Strategy 2030, purpose and strategic objectives
• Contribute to organisational leadership, planning, and decision-making as part of the senior management team
• Deputise for the Executive Director when required, representing the organisation internally and externally
• Act as the primary point of contact for IIC’s Regional Groups and network of Affiliated Professional Associations, fostering strong, collaborative relationships
• Support and connect Regional Groups / Affiliated Professional Associations to IIC’s central programmes and strategic priorities

Programmes

• Lead the development and delivery of IIC Learning, an integrated digital learning and events space with inter alia, online symposia, webinars, courses, workshops and hybrid bi-annual conferences.
• Oversee programme planning cycles linked to IIC’s special interest themes and communities ensuring high-quality, relevant, and accessible content.
• Build and maintain relationships with experts, speakers, partners, and contributors across the global conservation community.
• Ensure programmes support knowledge exchange, professional development, and sector leadership.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact and performance, using insights to inform future activities.

Communications 

• Work closely with the IIC team and communications colleagues to promote programmes and membership globally
• Help strengthen IIC’s profile as a leading international voice in conservation
• Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all programme and membership activity

Experience using GA4 and Google Tag Manager, as well as other native platform analytical tools for tracking, reporting and assisting optimisation.
• Proven knowledge and use of digital marketing tools, including email marketing and automation platforms (DotDigital would be advantageous).
• Demonstratable experience of developing paid social media campaign tracking and an understanding of the changing landscape in social media i.e. current Meta restrictions

We are seeking an Information Security Manager to shape how our information security is built into a new environment from the outset, rather than retrofitted later.  Whilst good progress has already been made in our cyber security and information governance provision across the organisation, this exciting, new role will take the next step in managing and developing a more structured, consistent, and visible approach, seeking to embed good practice and build confidence.   

This is not a purely technical or policy focused role.  It will be responsible for ensuring our systems and information are safe, resilient, and used responsibly, helping our teams make secure choices in their day-to-day work, and educating staff to understand what this means in practice. About the candidate

Candidates should possess a balanced skillset across technical cyber security and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) combined with the ability to translate this into clear, organisation-wide governance and assurance.  They will be comfortable with detail, whilst also providing proportionate, practical oversight at an organisational level.  They should demonstrate:

• Strong technical grounding in cyber security including networks, endpoints, identity, vulnerabilities, and incident response
• Experience in applying that knowledge to real world risk management, not just theoretical controls

More about the role:  As Campaigns & Communications Manager you will plan, coordinate and deliver campaigns that engage supporters and drive income. About you:  We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering multi-channel campaigns that drive income - whether through fundraising appeals, matched funding campaigns, or other income-generating programmes. You will also have experience growing an individual giving, monthly donor or membership programme. You will be an exceptional copywriter, able to communicate impact with clarity and warmth, and understand the importance of representing young people responsibly and with dignity.

We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a full time National Director of Operations to lead our delivery across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and emerging community settings, with an ambition to reach Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in scaling our impact and strengthening our presence across the criminal justice system and beyond.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent and accessible delivery, overseeing a team of six Regional Managers and a wider workforce of around 65 staff, volunteers and over 2,000 peer mentors trained each year.

Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. You will also play a key role in new business development, operational strategy, contractual delivery and ensuring we can reliably demonstrate the impact of our work.

The role requires an experienced operational leader with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for people facing disadvantage. You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• A track record of delivering large-scale programmes and leading distributed teams.

• Experience working with statutory bodies or large public-sector partners (e.g. HMPPS).

This is a home-based role but will require travel around the UK including overnight stays. This role is 5 days per week (35 hours) with working days/hours to be mutually agreed in line with business needs.

As a funding officer you will assess requests for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making. By working closely with people and communities, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

You will be responsible for supporting local people and communities across Wales, and have a strong understanding of our vision, being able to adapt your approach to the wishes of the people you are working with. You’ll also need to support our stakeholders, helping them to make connections that will help them achieve their goals.

You will be responsible for the pipeline of projects, understanding and responding to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback, and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations. Funding Officers will ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Fundraiser to join our Fundraising and Communications Team for a two-year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a diverse and engaging programme of events at a pivotal time for the charity, as we build towards our next large-scale art trail in 2028 following the success of Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool. 

In this role, you will support the development, planning and delivery of a wide range of fundraising events across the Fylde coast. You will take ownership of key events within the portfolio, managing everything from initial planning and promotion through to on-the-day delivery and post-event evaluation. Your work will ensure that every event is safe, well organised and provides an exceptional experience for participants and supporters.

You will play an important role in engaging and supporting participants throughout their journey, helping them feel motivated, valued and connected to Trinity Hospice. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, marketing and communications, you will help deliver compelling campaigns that drive participation and maximise income. You will also use data and insight to monitor performance, evaluate success and identify opportunities to improve and grow the events programme.
