Service Manager

Home-Start Lorn is looking for a passionate Service Manager to lead our fantastic team and take the charity into its next chapter. You'll run day-to-day operations, grow our income, and work closely with our Board, staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality, family-centered support across Oban, Mull and the surrounding area. 

We're a growing, community-rooted charity with a proven track record. We support parents/carers with children under 5 via a number of routes, whether via 1-1 professional support, 1-1 volunteer support or through our family support groups. If you want a leadership role where the difference you make is immediate and impactful, we'd love to hear from you.

The Service Manager leads Home-Start Lorn's day-to-day operations and strategic direction, working closely with the Board of Trustees. You'll help deliver our 2025–2028 strategy, support and develop our staff team, keep us well connected across the communities we serve, and help make sure the charity stays financially sustainable, outcomes-focused and able to offer high-quality, family-centred support across the area we cover. You won't be doing this alone — you'll have a supportive Board and an established cheerful staff team.
