Your role:

• Provide excellent delivery, teaching and course leadership to learners across TreeHouse School.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people we support.
• Work with pupils to ensure they receive a service that delivers the outcomes specified in their individualised learning, person-centred plans.
• Prepare and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments and assessments in line with departmental and awarding body requirements.
• Work collaboratively with allied health professionals as part of a trans-disciplinary team.

Our learners are mostly pre-verbal or use assistive communication systems to make their needs understood and follow different pathways depending on their needs and strengths, these are pre, semi and formal and you can read more here on our website.

Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to disaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Updating offers on our management system
• Communicating regularly with external partners, including key logistics partners, carriers, NGO's receiving shipments 
• Representing the Logistics team on the QMT (Quality Management Team)

Who you are:

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills
- A dedicated team player who enjoys working well in a small team as well as autonomously
- Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and targets 
- Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy and be numerically minded (Intermediate Excel skills desirable)
- IT literate in MS Office applications with experience of working with data and systems
- A natural problem solver, you'll have a good initative and be solutions focused
- Proficient communication skills, verbally and written with an ability to build strong working relationships

Merseyside Wate & Recycling Authority (MRWA) is committed to the highest standards of corporate governance, and our Audit Committee is a key part of ensuring that we meet those standards.

Independent Members are non-voting members of the Committee, who assist in overseeing internal and external audit arrangements, reviewing and scrutinising financial statements, and reviewing and assessing the governance, risk management and control of the authority.

Independent Members are expected to actively participate in meetings of the Committee, and demonstrate independence, integrity, objectivity and impartiality in their decision-making. They support the Committee in providing independent assurance to the elected Members of the Authority, and its wider stakeholders.

In order to achieve a broader range of experience on the Committee, the Authority is seeking to appoint an independent member with experience, at a senior level, in the one of the following key areas:

· Local Authority / Public Sector Accounting

· Local Authority / Public Sector Financial Reporting

Candidates with experience in these areas in large private sector organisations will also be considered.

Independent Members will be appointed for an initial period up to 31 March 2029 with the potential for this to be extended for a further three years.

Successful candidates will receive an annual allowance of £1500 and will be expected to attend three Committee meetings per year. Meetings are usually held in person at MRWA’s office at No 1 Mann Island but may occasionally be held vie Teams.

Candidates will also need to be able to commit sufficient time to read Committee papers in advance of these meetings and to undertake occasional training alongside the other Committee members.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider individuals for appointment if they:

• Are currently a Member, Co-opted Member, or an employee or a consultant to MRWA in any capacity, or have been an employee or Elected Member in the last five years;
• Are aware of any potential conflict of interest that could arise in this role, including if you are closely related to, or are a close friend of, any Member or senior officer of the Authority or have a close connection to an Authority supplier.

In addition, to be eligible for appointment, a person must not be disqualified from holding office as a Member of the MRWA or any local authority within Liverpool City Region. Accordingly, any person who is recommended for appointment will be required to confirm that he/she is not disqualified.

The contract terms​

• Permanent contract​

• £110,000 per annum plus Benefits​

•  Our full time hours are 35 hours per week, but we are committed to flexible working ​and offer a hybrid approach to working. ​Members of our ELT are expected to be in person at one of our offices at least once a week and sometimes more. Due to the nature of our work, regular evening and weekend working is required of ELT members with time off in lieu given.​

• Hybrid working: Meeting in person and working collaboratively are things we value. This role is linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office with a blend of home working and option to work out of our London office as required.​

Criminal record check (DBS): ​We take safeguarding seriously at Samaritans and follow safe recruitment practices. As this role has direct contact with children and adults at risk, this role will require an Enhanced DBS check with Adults and Children’s Barred Lists.​

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Clinical Governance to join our Nursing and Quality  Team. This role will require the successful candidate to lead and enhance the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care for children. This role is pivotal in overseeing clinical governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing clinical risks, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

The postholder will work collaboratively across teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, aligning with The Children’s Trust’s strategic objectives. Role Requirements

· Develop and maintain an effective clinical governance framework that supports safe and high-quality care.

· Facilitate regular clinical governance meetings to discuss performance, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Ensure that clinical pathways and practices are aligned with best practice guidelines and evidence-based standards.

· Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety across all services, promoting a culture of transparency and reporting.

· Implement and maintain the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring that learning from         incidents is captured and shared.

· Monitor and report on patient safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring appropriate action plans are developed.

· Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and experiences.

· Lead quality impact assessments for new initiatives or changes in practice, evaluating potential risks and benefits and manage the organisational governance in relation to these.

· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines, including CQC regulations and national safety frameworks.

· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory changes and ensure organisational policies and practices reflect these updates.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in East Berkshire.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes
• Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.
• You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Setting up and running virtual groups.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role
