What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading and managing governance and assurance functions within an organisation of similar scale, and be confident working with senior stakeholders, Boards and Committees.
You will need to be highly organised, able to build strong and effective working relationships, and capable of providing expert advice on governance, assurance, risk and regulatory matters.
Experience of working within a regulated environment, with knowledge of governance best practice and relevant legislation, would be an advantage.

This is a pivotal appointment at an important moment in Durham's fundraising journey.
The Head of Principal Giving will focus on developing and securing transformational philanthropic support from some of the University's most significant donors and prospects. Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, senior academic leaders, Campaign Board members and influential volunteers, you will help shape the next phase of principal giving at Durham.
You will manage a carefully selected portfolio of high-potential relationships, leading conversations that result in seven- and eight-figure gifts. Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising. There is also a full-time Fundraising Officer in the team who will provide some support for this role. The postholder should expect to work regularly with the CEO and wider leadership team. Fundraising sits within Voice 21’s Operations Directorate.
Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (near Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses.

Senior Young Dads Worker (Neurodiverse)
About NEYDL
North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) was founded in 2017 and has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most recognised organisations supporting young dads, men aged 25 and under in a fathering role. Our vision is for young dads to be valued and supported as parents. In 2024/25 we supported 217 young dads directly and achieved 100% satisfaction among the young dads we work with.
We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. Many of our staff are young dads themselves or have lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.
About this role
We use the term ‘young dads’ to refer to young dads, expectant dads and non-birthing partners aged 25 and under. This includes people within this age bracket who self-identify as father figures, including kinship carers and non-birthing partners.
We use the term ‘neurodiverse’ as an inclusive term covering young dads who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other forms of neurodivergence, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or awaiting assessment. We recognise that neurodivergent young dads can face additional barriers in accessing parenting support, including in how services are structured, communicated and delivered, and that these barriers are often compounded by stigma, exclusion or a lack of appropriate adjustment.
This is a dedicated role to ensure neurodivergent young dads can access the high quality support NEYDL offers, and that our wider service offer is genuinely accessible to them. You will provide direct, adapted support to neurodivergent young dads, while also building NEYDL’s organisational understanding of how to work effectively and inclusively with this group.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Programme Manager to lead the management of a new Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programme in Mozambique. The programme will be delivered in partnership with a Mozambican organisation and aims to improve access to safe, inclusive and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene services for vulnerable communities in Mozambique. It will include activities such as construction or rehabilitation of water systems, sanitation facilities, hygiene promotion, community engagement, institutional capacity strengthening and climate-resilient WASH planning.
The Programme Manager will ensure high-quality, timely and compliant delivery within budget. Based at our office in London, you will be responsible for the programme’s overall performance, partnership management, financial oversight, risk management, safeguarding, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and donor reporting.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. We are seeking to expand our work in Britain to include civil discrimination claims, actions against the state, and media law work. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one or more of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and defamation issues. The post holder will join a growing team that consists of a Senior Legal Officer, Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. In addition, our British work team has an Advocacy and Communication Manager and two researchers who monitor anti-Palestinian repression. We are seeking an experienced and technically strong finance professional to lead our Financial Accounting and transaction processing functions. This is a senior role within the Finance / Resources directorate, reporting to the Director of Resources and playing a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of the College’s financial accounting arrangements.
The postholder will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the financial accounting and transaction processing teams, supporting statutory reporting, technical accounting, treasury management, tax compliance, financial systems development and effective financial control across the group. The role covers the accounting arrangements for the College, its subsidiary and the Malaysian company, with responsibility for maintaining high-quality accounting records and supporting informed decision-making by senior leaders and the Trustee Board.
About the role
You will lead the preparation of annual financial statements for the group and single entity, ensure timely submission of regulatory returns, and provide expert advice on technical accounting matters including FRS 102, Charity SORP, OSCR requirements, VAT and other tax matters. You will also oversee key reconciliations, maintain effective financial controls, manage treasury arrangements and banking relationships, and support the development of financial systems and procedures.
As a senior member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Head of Financial Reporting and Analysis, senior leaders, committee chairs, external auditors, consultants and colleagues across the organisation. You will also lead, motivate and develop a team of
6 colleagues, ensuring strong performance, effective processes and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
About you
You will be a qualified accountant with a recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI, ACCA or CIMA, and significant experience in financial accounting. You will bring strong technical knowledge, ideally gained within an FRS 102 or similar environment, together with the ability to interpret complex financial requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
You will have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to advise senior finance and non-finance colleagues, present complex information clearly, and manage competing priorities. Experience of staff management, team development, financial systems, advanced Excel and working with external auditors or advisers will be important. Knowledge of Charity SORP, fixed asset accounting under FRS 102, or experience in charity or public sector would be advantageous.
