Job description

Help create a workplace where GamCare’s people can thrive.

At GamCare, supporting people is at the heart of what we do – and that includes our own colleagues. We’re looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to lead and continuously improve our approach to colleague wellbeing, workplace experience and health and safety. It’s an opportunity to shape how people experience working at GamCare, helping to create a safe, healthy, inclusive and supportive environment where colleagues can do their best work.

You’ll develop wellbeing initiatives, use workforce insight and colleague feedback to identify priorities, support managers with practical advice, and help strengthen psychological safety, resilience and healthy ways of working across our workforce.

You’ll also take the lead on health and safety across GamCare, ensuring effective governance, compliance and safe working practices. This includes overseeing risk assessment frameworks, policies, training, incident reporting and investigations, alongside contributing to GamCare’s environmental sustainability activity.

About you

You’ll bring strong health and safety expertise alongside a genuine interest in colleague wellbeing and employee experience. You’ll be confident working with people at different levels, able to handle sensitive issues professionally and compassionately, and comfortable turning data, feedback and best practice into practical improvements.

You’ll need a recognised health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, together with experience of developing or delivering organisational wellbeing initiatives and supporting health and safety across hybrid, remote or office-based environments. You should also have experience in developing policies, guidance, frameworks or toolkits and be able to communicate clearly with colleagues, managers and external partners.

Experience of delivering training or facilitated sessions would be valuable, while experience within a charity, health or social care environment, organisational culture and change, or environmental sustainability would be advantageous.

If you’re excited by the opportunity to bring together health, safety, and wellbeing and to make a tangible difference to how people experience working at GamCare – we’d be delighted to hear from you.
