We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a full time National Director of Operations to lead our delivery across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and emerging community settings, with an ambition to reach Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in scaling our impact and strengthening our presence across the criminal justice system and beyond.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent and accessible delivery, overseeing a team of six Regional Managers and a wider workforce of around 65 staff, volunteers and over 2,000 peer mentors trained each year.

Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. You will also play a key role in new business development, operational strategy, contractual delivery and ensuring we can reliably demonstrate the impact of our work.

The role requires an experienced operational leader with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for people facing disadvantage. You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• A track record of delivering large-scale programmes and leading distributed teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working with statutory bodies or large public-sector partners (e.g. HMPPS).
• Excellent judgement, communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Understanding of the criminal justice system, safeguarding, or alternative education environments (desirable).
• A collaborative, inclusive leadership style aligned with Shannon Trust’s values.

This is a home-based role but will require travel around the UK including overnight stays. This role is 5 days per week (35 hours) with working days/hours to be mutually agreed in line with business needs.

Accommodation-Based Services Manager

We are looking for an Accommodation-Based Services Manager to lead and shape an award-winning service supporting women to live free from abuse.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within an award-winning, specialist organisation at the forefront of supporting Black and minoritised women and children affected by domestic abuse, including forced marriage and honour based abuse.

The Role

As Accommodation-Based Services Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of the refuge and accommodation services across the West Midlands.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring services are safe, compliant and survivor-centred. You will oversee staff teams, safeguarding practice, housing management, and quality assurance, while contributing to the ongoing development of services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage accommodation-based services, ensuring safe, high-quality and effective delivery
• Line manage the Senior Support Workers and provide overall leadership across accommodation services, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, training and rota/on-call cover
• Take overall responsibility for safeguarding practice, including oversight of high-risk cases

• Oversee referrals, admissions, occupancy and move-on processes
• Ensure effective housing management, including rent systems, housing benefit and arrears monitoring
• Maintain oversight of health and safety, property compliance and refuge security
• Lead on quality assurance, audits, monitoring and continuous improvement
• Ensure accurate reporting to funders, commissioners and senior management
• Manage budgets and monitor expenditure
• Develop strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders, attend multi-agency meetings and represent the organisation externally

About You

You are an experienced and confident leader with a strong track record in managing accommodation-based or refuge services.

You will:

• Have Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Housing, Management (or equivalent experience) plus evidence of continuous professional development
• Bring significant experience of services management within the domestic abuse or VAWG sector, including managing accommodation-based or refuge services
• Have strong expertise in safeguarding and managing high-risk cases
• Be able to lead, motivate and develop teams to deliver high standards
• Have experience managing compliance and complex operations within housing services and knowledge of benefits and refuge processes
• Be confident managing competing priorities and driving service improvement
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to influence and build partnerships

About the role 

This role leads the day-to-day operational management and development of WGN’s Clinical Services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, high-quality, survivor-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support for survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). • Support therapists, High Intensity Therapists (HITs) and honorary counsellors through clinical guidance, recruitment, induction, reflective practice, wellbeing initiatives and ongoing professional development, embedding anti-oppressive, intersectional and survivor-centred practice.

• Lead on safeguarding and multi-agency working, supporting practitioners to respond effectively to risk, maintain safe practice and ensure consistent documentation and ethical information sharing.

• Support monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting, ensuring effective data collection and survivor involvement to inform ongoing service improvement and co-production.

Holding a caseload of service users, you will act as their key contact, contributing to care planning, monitoring progress, and supporting safe discharge using the RiO clinical records system. Together with service users, you will develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building strong therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. You will help individuals access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, attend clinical meetings and community events, and advocate for recovery-focused, jargon-free communication. You will ensure accurate documentation, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development.

We are looking for someone with NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience in a mental health setting. You will bring a strong understanding of mental health issues, recovery, and co-production principles, alongside experience of working collaboratively with professionals, services, and communities. Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act is essential, as are excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills. You should be confident using IT systems, resilient and adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team, and committed to person-centred, trauma-informed practice.

About the role

We’re looking for experienced social media and communications professionals to join our freelance moderation team.

Our moderators support a range of charity partners, working across always-on activity as well as high-profile campaigns and appeals. You’ll act as the voice of each organisation — engaging with supporters, answering queries, and ensuring conversations are managed safely and effectively.

This role is well suited as a flexible, additional source of income. Most of our moderators are freelancers or consultants working alongside other roles.

Working pattern

Moderation takes place between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday.

Rather than working in one continuous block, you’ll complete your hours in short check-ins across the day to maintain coverage and meet response time targets.

Each account is allocated a set number of ‘active moderation hours’ per day (e.g. 2-3 hours), which are spread across multiple sessions.

For example, 3 hours may be split into 5-6 check-ins throughout the day.

You must be able to:

• Start moderation from 9am (or earlier)

• Monitor activity throughout the day

• Complete a final check before 9pm

• Adhere to our sub-3-hour response time

Please note: In your first month, you will typically start on fewer accounts and hours (approx. 3 per day) while you get up to speed. Hours usually increase from month two onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the voice of our charity partners, consistently applying their tone of voice and brand guidelines

• Respond to comments, messages and queries in a timely, accurate and empathetic way

• Maintain a response time of under three hours

• Identify, manage and de-escalate negative or inappropriate content

• Hide or remove content in line with moderation policies

• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately

• Signpost users to relevant support services where needed

• Minimum 3 years’ professional communications experience, working in-house for a charity or non-profit

• Proven experience moderating social media channels

Overview

The Premier League Foundation is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Grants and Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. As a key member of the Central Operations team, you will help ensure the Foundation operates as an effective and efficient charity by maintaining robust, high‑quality grant‑management processes. Working closely with the Head of Governance and Operations and the Senior Impact and Insight Manager, you will oversee all grant‑making activity, from application through to monitoring, reporting and end‑of‑grant procedures. You will collaborate closely with the Programmes Team and the Impact and Insights Team to ensure they have the tools and frameworks needed to monitor grant delivery and performance in line with Premier League programme expectations and funder requirements. Supported by the Governance and Grants Executive, you will track how funding is used, ensure grant conditions are met, and lead the ongoing improvement of grant‑making systems and processes.

A core part of the role will be leading the development and implementation of the Capability Code of Practice — a governance framework designed specifically for the unique needs and context of professional football club charities. You will ensure the Code continues to evolve with governance best practice and will work directly with Premier League club charities to create regular opportunities for sharing good practice, supporting them to achieve full compliance with the Code and to strengthen their effectiveness and efficiency as charitable organisations.

Working alongside the Head of Governance and Operations, you will also help ensure the Foundation maintains strong governance and operational excellence, including our own compliance with the Code and ongoing improvements to internal systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple workstreams while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and exceptional attention to detail. They will be comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively and will bring a strong understanding of progressive grant‑making and the role that good governance plays in delivering the Foundation's charitable objectives. Who we are

The Premier League Foundation was established in 2010 to distribute funding provided by the Premier League and its partners to professional football club charities across England and Wales, supporting them in their delivery in thousands of community venues and schools across the country. A total of 106 club charities are supported across the Premier League, English Football League, and National League.

More than 2.5 million individuals have benefitted from the charity, which aims to foster positive sporting, health, personal and education opportunities for children, young people, and the wider community.

The role

• Oversee the Premier League Foundation’s grant management function, ensuring timely, high-quality and consistent processes for grant assessment, approval, delivery, monitoring and reporting.
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of grant-making processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Provide advice and support on the design and development of application and grant-making processes for new programmes and funds.
• Work with the Head of Governance and Operations and the Finance team to support grant payment processes, including quarterly grant payments as required.
• Oversee the management of grant agreements, supported by the Foundation Governance and Grants Executive, and establish processes to ensure all grant-related documentation is quality assured and appropriately maintained.
• Contribute to reports relating to governance and grant management including mid-year and end of year monitoring updates for Premier League Foundation Board meetings.
• Support the Programmes Team in producing engaging and informative reports on programme performance and impact for our funding partners and other relevant stakeholders as required.
• Communicate regularly with club charities to provide updates, respond to queries, and build strong, collaborative relationships.
• Work with impact and insight colleagues to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for grant-funded projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the impact of funded projects is measured, documented, and communicated effectively.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Capability Code of Practice and the Capability Audit process, working collaboratively with funding partners and key stakeholders to assess the governance and management arrangements of funded organisations, and to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the network
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the 20 Premier League football club charities to ensure compliance with the Capability Code of Practice, providing tailored support, advice and guidance to aid the effective implementation of their Capability Action Plans
• Lead the Premier League Foundation’s internal self‑assessment against the Capability Code of Practice, monitoring progress and evaluating performance against the actions set out in our Capability Action Plan.
• Lead the delivery of the bi‑annual Capability Code of Practice Conference, as well as other grant‑making or governance‑related networking opportunities, events and training sessions
• Line-manage the Governance and Grants Executive, providing regular supervision, workload management, wellbeing support and opportunities for professional development.
• Ensure the Foundation is well connected to other initiatives and organisations in the sector and stay informed of trends in grant funding practice to inform operational improvements.
• Represent the Premier League Foundation in a professional and positive manner when engaging with internal and external stakeholders, always reflecting the organisation’s values.
• Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required, and are commensurate with the job role, in furtherance of the objectives of the Premier League Foundation.

About the role

The People and Culture Business Partner provides senior operational leadership for employment policy, employee relations, and compliance across staff, volunteers and sessional workers, ensuring that the organisation’s HR frameworks are legally defensible, consistently applied, and aligned with organisational values. We are looking for Senior Operations Contracts Lead (East of England)

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000

Location: Based across multiple locations with the flexibility to work from home up to two days each week. This role is responsible for services across Essex, Hertfordshire and Kent. The Analysis and Insight (A&I) Team provides analysis and insight expertise to UK fire and rescue services (UK FRSs), the NFCC and its partners by way of advice and consultancy, research, data collections, data cleansing and validation, data analysis, reporting and horizon scanning. What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail focused Data administrator to support national data collections and reporting activity. The role is key to ensuring data is collected, validated and quality assured to a high standard enabling analysts to produce meaningful insights for internal and external stakeholders including government.

Working as part of a remote team, you will manage data requests, support survey activity, and provide administrative support, contributing to the effective delivery of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting.
