If you feel passionate about making a difference in this area we would like to hear from you.
Our Growing Minds Service provides practical, emotional and mental health wellbeing support to children and young people aged 11-25 from African and Caribbean Heritage (ACH) communities; focusing on two key transition points in their lives (primary to secondary school and childhood to adulthood). You will also undertake associated case management and administrative work. You will be required to offer evening sessions until 8pm at least one evening a week (on Monday or Thursday) as part of your working hours and there is also the potential to develop and facilitate group work.
Main Requirements
As a Psychotherapist/ Creative Art Psychotherapist/Counsellor with relevant post qualification practice you will work collaboratively community organisations/CAMHS and other partners to reduce barriers to mental health support to children, young people and young adults from the ACH community. You will work with young people on a 1:1 basis, with parent/carers during assessment, and group work. You will undertake holistic assessments, and hold a caseload providing outcome focussed interventions that support resilience and emotional wellbeing. In addition you will be knowledgeable about the wider health determinants which impact on ACH communities and barriers for children, young people and young adults achieving positive outcomes. You will be a warm, empathic individual with an ability to relate to young people and work as part of a team.
We are committed to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in all that we do and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We particularly welcome applications from male candidates, LGBTQIA+ candidates and candidates with disabilities because we are committed to increasing the representation of these groups at Family Action. This role would suit someone who combines strong project management expertise with excellent relationship-building skills and is motivated by coaching, influencing and partnering with colleagues across an organisation. The role will also contribute to the continuous development of project management tools, standards, training and communities of practice that improve delivery capability across the organisation.

Could you jointly lead an organisation with bold ambition to end homelessness in Bristol - and put inclusion at the heart of how you lead?
This is a rare opportunity to share leadership, accountability and impact for Caring in Bristol - an ambitious, independent charity working towards a simple but powerful vision: 'No one is homeless in our city'.
We're looking for a Co-Director to take the lead on Finance, Fundraising and People functions.
Location: Hybrid, Bristol (60% onsite, open to negotiation where adjustments may be required)
Salary: £54,550-£61,245 FTE, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, 0.8-1.0 FTE (30 or 37.5 hours)
You'll also receive 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata if part time), flexible working, an enhanced 5% pension contribution, an individual learning and development budget, clinical supervision and group reflective practice.
Caring in Bristol believes everyone should be treated with dignity, respect and fairness. We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation where people feel they belong and can thrive.
We're looking for a Co-Director who will champion equality, diversity and inclusion through organisational culture and practice - someone who values lived experience, listens to different perspectives and creates a safe, supportive environment where people can do their best work.
You'll join at an exciting point in Caring in Bristol's development, sharing leadership of an organisation that believes homelessness is not inevitable and is working across the city to prevent it, respond to housing emergencies and create lasting change.
About the role
This definitely isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill Director or CEO role. You'll have a unique opportunity to co-create and collaborate on your own leadership model, alongside the existing Co-Director, with joint responsibility for strategy, performance and culture.
Taking a lead on finance, fundraising, people and HR, internal operations and governance, you'll make sure people, systems and resources are working effectively to deliver on mission and maximise impact.
Together, you'll make co-leadership work by building trust, challenging each other constructively, bringing complementary strengths and sharing accountability. Alongside the Board, team and people with lived experience, you'll build the confidence, capacity and resources Caring in Bristol needs to deliver its ambition and create lasting change.
We're looking for a different kind of leader
You might be an experienced charity leader, or have come up through finance, operations, organisational development, HR or income generation. You may have taken a less conventional route into leadership. We really don't expect you to tick every box.
We're looking for senior leadership experience, the ability to build a sustainable organisation with strong income and people foundations - plus a genuine passion for developing inclusive, high-performing teams. But just as importantly, we want to understand how you lead.
You'll be someone who:
Knowledge of homelessness, housing or Bristol's voluntary sector would be useful, but it isn't essential. What matters most is your leadership style, values and desire to end homelessness.
Inclusion really matters
We know some groups are under-represented in our workforce, and we're committed to changing that. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of homelessness and those from backgrounds under-represented in the charity sector.
We're committed to making recruitment inclusive and accessible. We can offer flexible working and reasonable adjustments throughout the process, and if written applications don't allow you to show your strengths, we're happy to accept audio or video responses too.
Interested?
If you're excited by the chance to help create a Bristol where no one is homeless, we'd love to hear from you. And if you're thinking "I'm not sure I'm the typical candidate" - please don't let that stop you getting in touch.
To register your interest, a CV or draft profile is a great first step. You can send this to Amelia Lee at Charity People directly through the application channel on this website, or just get in touch to request the full job pack.
Closing date: 9am on Monday 14th September
Interview dates are currently being agreed, likely to happen early-mid October.
Charity People is a forward thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
We are looking for a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), a medical charity at the forefront of the health agenda. Our members diagnose and treat cancer, heart disease, stroke and more, whilst leading innovation across healthcare.
Working as part of our Brand team, you will play a key role in bringing the RCR brand to life through creative, engaging and accessible visual communications. You’ll work across the organisation, translating briefs into high-quality design solutions that strengthen our brand and visual identity and engage a wide range of audiences, including our members and stakeholders.

You’ll be comfortable talking about trauma and able to provide compassionate, practical and non-judgmental support through group work, community activities and partnership working. Experience of supporting loved ones, delivering workshops or working within mental health, social care, advocacy or community services would be particularly helpful. We also recognise the value of transferable experience and welcome people who are committed to learning, building trusting relationships and helping loved ones feel less alone.
