About You & The Role
You are a natural builder who enjoys closing deals, developing relationships and creating meaningful social impact. You will shape and lead PBC’s first dedicated fundraising function, building a portfolio from the ground up with limited existing donor relationships.
The role focuses on securing six-figure corporate partnerships and cultivating high-net-worth individual donors, alongside a smaller trusts and foundations portfolio. You thrive in a strategic, relationship-led role and are comfortable using a broad range of fundraising approaches.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will secure funding to support long-term sustainability and expand PBC’s impact across London and beyond. Initially the sole fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team as the function grows.
Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Delivery: Take ownership of multi-year fundraising strategy working closely with the CEO and Board to diversify and increase revenue streams that support PBC’s service expansion and reach

Relationship Management: Research, identify and cultivate funding opportunities from companies and high-net-worth individuals, alongside trusts and foundations

Trusts & Foundations: Oversee the grant pipeline, with external support for high-value applications and build relationships with decision-makers

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Property Lawyer to join our national Legal & Governance team; assisting the Trust’s Senior Property Lawyer with the handling and management of transactional contentious property matters across the Trust’s property portfolio.
Location & coverage
The position will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces on occasion for meetings. Main hubs include Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Gloucester, London.
This role follows a 37 hours Monday to Friday working pattern and will be home-based, with the allocation of a nearby Hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Property Lawyer and Principal Property Lawyer on complex transactions, whilst managing your own caseload of commercial property matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate leases, licences, agreements, transfers and associated legal documents for acquisitions, disposals and other transactions.
- Provide legal advice on day-to-day landlord and tenant issues, lease renewals, consents, title matters and statutory obligations.
- Assist with due diligence and title investigations for acquisitions, disposals, and projects.
- Manage instructions from internal stakeholders with a commercial, pragmatic approach.
- Help identify and mitigate legal risk in line with Trust policy and Charities Act obligations.

About you
We’re a complex organisation and our Legal & governance team work closely every day across the organisation in supporting our Estates, Property Investment, Utilities, Engineering and Regional Operations teams, in addition to liaising with a variety of external partners, stakeholders and advisors. The Property Lawyer will be working collaboratively in an experienced Legal team of qualified lawyers, claims manager, paralegals and legal PA.
The Trust’s legal team plays a vital role in protecting the Trust’s interests, across the whole range of our activities, to ensure regulatory compliance with charity, environmental, planning, heritage, health and safety (as well as the Trust’s unique historic waterways Acts of Parliament dating back over 200 years), providing advice and support drafting on contractual and property documentation, bringing and defending litigation (including judicial review) plus a full range of commercial, employment and boat licensing matters.
As our Property Lawyer you will be supporting the delivery of legal advice across the Trust’s broad property portfolio in connection with its commercial property transactions and related legal matters.

CXK is the lead provider of Personal Careers Guidance to young people in schools and specialist centres across Kent & Medway, where we provide independent Personal Careers Guidance, via our CXK Young Peoples’ Careers Service.
The Team
We are a diverse and welcoming team of advisers, who use a wide variety of creative methods to deliver personalised, client centred, personal careers guidance, ranging from one-to-one sessions through to group guidance, parents and options evenings, as well as focused talks and assemblies. We have minimal admin and keep our clients’ experience central to what we do, providing an inclusive service with individualised action plans, including the use of visual career maps, career cards and white boards, alongside more traditional approaches where appropriate.

The team is led by Chris Targett RCDP, who alongside his work at CXK, is the current Chair of the Careers Writers Association and co-author of the recently released Career Development and Inclusive Practice book, published by Trotman Publishing in partnership with the CDI.

The Role
The Careers Adviser will travel across Kent, Medway, West Kent and Mid Kent Regions to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required.
Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.
You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.
We would require you to work five days-a-week, term time only, with a pro rata holiday entitlement. If you would prefer part-time only employment (minimum of three days a week), this can be negotiated.

Background
Pesticide Action Network UK (PAN UK) is the only charity in the UK focused solely on tackling the problems caused by pesticides and promoting safe and sustainable alternatives in agriculture, urban areas, homes and gardens. It is an independent, non-profit organisation, which works nationally and internationally to eliminate the use of the most hazardous pesticides, reduce dependence on pesticides overall, and to increase the adoption of sustainable alternatives to chemical pest control.
Our Head of Policy & Campaigns leads our work in the UK which aims to better protect both the environment and human health from pesticide harms. Through policy work, lobbying, research, media and strategic communications, we aim to influence a range of decision makers, from the UK government and devolved administrations to local councils and the country’s biggest supermarkets. The role also includes working alongside PAN UK’s Director to secure funding to cover the UK team’s salaries, overheads and activities. It is an incredibly varied role, involving everything from leading on strategy development for the UK team while also being intricately involved in writing and editing publications and executing other activities such as events and mobilising the public.
The Head of Policy & Campaigns is part of PAN UK’s Senior Management Team (along with our Director, Head of Finance and Governance and Head of International Programmes) which sets the direction of the organisation and ensures it is well-managed and delivering on our mission.
Specific responsibilities
1. Advocacy, policy and campaigning

Lead the UK team in developing advocacy strategies, and fully utilising opportunities to make progress towards achieving PAN UK’s mission.

Conduct high quality research and analysis aimed at influencing decision makers. Ensure it is presented in a way which is both technically accurate and compelling.

Develop and/or maintain expertise in pesticide policy with the aim of being able to represent PAN UK credibly in a range of external fora.

Build relationships with a wide range of decision makers including government ministers and civil servants, parliamentarians, devolved administrations, local councils and supermarkets.

Ensure that the organisation’s policy positions on UK pesticide issues are clear, well thought out and will lead to positive change.

Find creative ways to involve the UK public in PAN UK’s work, including enabling members of the public to contact decision makers directly.
2. Communications

Secure media coverage for PAN UK outputs, including writing press releases and liaising with journalists. Provide written quotes for media outlets and give interviews for radio and TV.

Write materials including policy reports, political briefings and public-facing communications such as blogs and supporter emails. Edit and sign off all outputs from the UK team, ensuring they are both well-written and accurate.

Conduct public speaking at a range of events, from high-profile events in parliament to community gatherings (and everything in between!).

Work closely with PAN UK’s Communications Manager to provide content for the organisation’s website and social media channels. Support the Communications Manager in their broader work which includes raising PAN UK’s public profile and leading on individual giving.
3. Fundraising and financial management
(Please note that PAN UK does not employ fundraisers).

Raise sufficient funds to cover the UK team’s salaries, activity costs and contribution to organisational overheads.

Contribute to efforts to raise core funds, which are led by PAN UK’s Director.

Identify and build relationships with new funders, particularly trusts and foundations, with the aim of securing funding.

Maintain excellent relationships with existing funders, making sure to meet reporting deadlines.

Follow PAN UK protocols to ensure that the UK team’s finances are well-managed.

About the role

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for two passionate and proactive Upstream Practitioner’s to join our Team based in Bournemouth.
About us
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. We provide homeless young people with accommodation, mental health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The roles
We have two permanent Upstream Practitioner roles available, which are both school based and are part of our policy and prevention directorate. They will report to the Senior Upstream Practitioner and as a team, you will play a key role in our pre-16 prevention pilot, helping to identify and address the root causes of youth homelessness.
We have one full-time role and one term-time role available. Both roles are 37.5 hours per week and will be based in The Bourne Academy. The full-time role is working over 52 weeks and includes annual leave entitlement in line with Centrepoint’s policy. The term-time role is working over 41 weeks per year (39 weeks during term time plus 2 additional weeks). This role does not include annual leave. Instead, the annual leave is paid in addition to the salary.
The successful candidates will need to be available week commencing 23rd March Monday to Friday in Manchester, to undertake Level 4 mediation training with UK Mediation. All expenses will be paid for by Centrepoint.
What you’ll be doing …
- Delivering a school-based early intervention programme aimed at preventing youth homelessness
- Administering the Upstream Survey to students aged 11–16 to help identify hidden risk factors
- Managing and maintaining a caseload of young people, carrying out holistic assessments to understand their wellbeing, relationships, and home life, working proactively with them and their families before issues escalate to crisis point
- Leading and delivering workshops and providing early intervention support focused on emotional wellbeing, resilience, healthy relationships, and independent living skills
- Working closely with schools, families, and community services to support sustained positive outcomes
- Collecting, monitoring, and recording impact data to track progress and support continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting children, young people, and families in a preventative or early intervention context
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with young people, families, and professionals

Role Purpose
This is a new role. Stand-by-me is seeking an experienced Director to effectively lead and manage the organisation.
