The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales - both for the prosecution and the defense. Our trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence. The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.

As our new Trusts and Foundations Executive, you will join a top performing team, identify and engage with prospective donors, build long-term relationships, generate donations, coordinate events and steward our supporters. Victim Support is seeking a committed and detail-focused Team Leader to help coordinate and maintain excellent support for witnesses within the busy Court environment at Ealing Magistrates Court and Willesden Magistrates Court. You will play a vital role in supporting our volunteers, and wider service ensuring witnesses receive timely, compassionate, and effective support throughout their justice journey.
This role is permanent working 37.5 hours per week.

The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales - both for the prosecution and the defense. Our trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence. The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.

To provide management support and advice to Group Facilitators, Volunteers, Social Work Students to help them develop their role in providing support to service users.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
You will bring a strong understanding of the needs and experiences of people with mental health conditions, including those who may be disengaged from services, and experience providing effective mental health care and support. You will have a commitment to co-production, ensuring service users are actively involved in shaping services that meet their cultural and individual needs, and experience using feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement. Strong leadership and organisational skills are essential, including experience managing services within budget and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
You will have excellent knowledge of mental health, housing, community care, health and safety, and welfare benefits legislation, with the ability to recognise deteriorating mental health and respond appropriately. Confident representing the organisation externally, you will be able to deliver presentations, develop promotional materials, and build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders. Strong IT skills are also essential, with the ability to produce accurate reports and support staff to maintain high standards of client record-keeping and data quality.

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating memorable supporter experiences and delivering engaging fundraising activity.
Working closely with the Head of Events and Community Fundraising, you'll play a pivotal role in growing community fundraising income and supporter engagement across the charity. You'll build relationships with supporters, community groups and volunteers, helping them achieve their fundraising ambitions whilst ensuring they feel valued every step of the way. Alongside this, you'll support the delivery of a portfolio of special events, helping to create exceptional experiences that inspire support for Brain Research UK's mission.
