Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and compassionate Children and Young People Team Leader to work across Warwickshire, providing effective leadership, guidance and support to a team delivering services to children affected by domestic abuse and other crimes.

The service is commissioned by the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner and is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of an essential local service.

About the role

As Team Leader you will work closely with the Operations Manager to support the safe, trauma-informed and effective delivery of the service, driving high standards, effective outcomes, and supporting team members' wellbeing and development. You will provide day-to-day leadership, support and guidance to a team of two CYP Case Workers and three CHIDVAs (Children's Independent Domestic Violence Advocate), helping to create a positive, high-performing and learning-focused culture.

Key Responsibilites

• provide leadership and day-to-day support to a team of CYP Case Workers and CHIDVAs, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services whilst promoting a positive, confident and resilient team culture.
• support the Operations Manager with the effective running and development of the service
• provide advice and guidance to team members and other colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises safety and identifies individual needs for tailored support
• will use data, quality assurance and learning from practice to help identify trends, strengthen service delivery and support continuous improvement

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IDVA, or someone with operational experience working with children and young people, or in the field of Domestic Abuse, looking to take the next step in their leadership journey, or for an existing senior practitioner who is passionate about developing others whilst continuing to make a direct difference to children and young people affected by crime and domestic abuse.

This hybrid role requires some working from home, some office-based work (within Warwickshire Justice Centre, Leamington Spa), and regular in-person and online partnership meeting and forum attendance to represent the service and amplify the voices of children and young people affected by crime and Domestic Abuse. The CYP Team Leader will ensure the right support is provided according to individual needs through assessment, safety planning and support.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
