We are looking for a Community Projects Coordinator (Community Research Initiative) to coordinate and support the further development of our diverse programme of extra-curricular student activity including our Research Volunteering and Pro Bono Research programmes.

About you

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with keen interest in the charity sector, particularly in humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a range of cross-channel experience, ideally in the charity sector and in an Individual Giving team, with a particular focus on retention and engagement activity. We are looking for someone with the passion to drive and improve our retention and engagement campaigns, to critically review campaigns and implement improvements, and to put their own stamp on the role.

About the role

The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.

This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

A strong emphasis is placed on promoting pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, enabling them to succeed both within school and beyond.

The role also includes responsibilities as a Class Tutor, where you will take an active role in the academic, pastoral and personal development of a group of pupils. You will act as a key point of contact for parents, contribute to pupil reviews, and ensure that registration periods are purposeful and supportive.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership within the classroom, effectively managing and supporting additional staff, including trainees and teaching assistants. You will be responsible for maintaining a well-organised, safe and engaging learning environment, ensuring high standards of health and safety at all times.

About the Role

The Strategic Director is responsible for overseeing Reprieve’s casework, litigation, and advocacy in service of our mission to end the death penalty and abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”. This is a senior management position that combines strategic vision with operational delivery. The Strategic Director will ensure Reprieve’s work achieves maximum impact across multiple jurisdictions, while keeping our clients, their families, and their communities at the centre of our strategy.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the Strategic Director manages the Deputy Directors and Heads of teams. They are responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Reprieve’s regional casework and thematic projects by providing the necessary resources, oversight, and strategic direction to senior staff.

The Strategic Director leads the development and implementation of the organisation’s strategy, manages the annual operational planning cycle, and oversees robust monitoring and evaluation processes. Working collaboratively across the senior management team, they help build Reprieve’s case portfolio and support an international network of partners and fellows, ensuring the interests of clients, families, and communities remain at the heart of all activity.

Key responsibilities include identifying cross-team strategic opportunities and challenges, maintaining high-level oversight of budgets, and ensuring all teams are sufficiently resourced and operate with rigorous processes for project and personnel management.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the post-holder will coordinate closely with Reprieve’s Fundraising, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure casework is ethical, sustainable, well-resourced, and effectively communicated to funders and stakeholders.

The Strategic Director will combine significant litigation, casework and advocacy experience with proven strategic leadership and a track record of achieving measurable impact and system change.

Terms

The role is a full-time (five days per week) permanent position. The annual salary is £71,378 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Solace is embarking on a new five-year fundraising strategy, with ambitious plans to double fundraised income to £3m by 2031. The contract terms​

•  Our full time hours are 35 hours per week, but we are committed to flexible working ​and offer a hybrid approach to working. ​Members of our ELT are expected to be in person at one of our offices at least once a week and sometimes more. Due to the nature of our work, regular evening and weekend working is required of ELT members with time off in lieu given.​

• Hybrid working: Meeting in person and working collaboratively are things we value. This role is linked to our Ewell (Surrey) office with a blend of home working and option to work out of our London office as required.​

Business Development

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

We’re seeking a Fundraising Officer to support the growth of all our programmes, services, and campaigns. Primarily working on a new area of trusts and foundations fundraising, including researching prospects. You will be responsible for making grant applications and updating funders, as well as providing overall support to the wider fundraising team at Humanists UK.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
