The Team Administrator will provide a range of administrative and personal support to the
Archbishop's Chaplain and the wider team at Bishopthorpe Palace. They will also act as one of the main points of contact for visitors and callers and will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with the other Team Administrator to ensure duties are always covered.
Responsibilities
Support to the Archbishop's Chaplain
Provide administrative support to the Chaplain including but not limited to:
- Managing the Chaplain's diary using Outlook, including booking rooms and hospitality where appropriate.
- Booking travel and hotel accommodation as required.
- Taking minutes of meetings on an occasional basis.
- Preparing background information for Clergy Current Status Letters (CCSLs).
- Assisting with the printing of materials for worship.
- Responsible for the administration of the clergy charity funds, in liaison with the Archbishop's Chaplain. Liaising directly with the Suffragan Bishops and Archdeacons of the Diocese of York in the allocation of these funds.
- Clergy retirement/resignation letters - In liaison with the Records and Correspondence Manager, making sure that all resignations and retirement notifications are actioned.
- Providing general administrative support to the Chaplain, and any other duties that may arise as required.
- Providing support to the Chaplain on the administration of PTOs, and any other duties that may arise as required, in the absence of the other Team Administrator.
Assisting with the administration and organisation of the following events:
- Consecrations and Confirmation of Elections;
- Provincial Visits;
- Annual Northern Church Leaders' Retreat;
- Diocese of York Clergy Quiet Days;
- Diocesan Clergy Conference;
- Ordinations of deacons.
Reception duties (shared with the other Team Administrator):
- Answering incoming calls to the main Palace phone, ascertaining the purpose of the call and transferring to the appropriate member of staff, giving full information.
- Answering video-entry phones at the main office door and disabled entrance, greeting visitors, assisting disabled visitors, issuing visitor badges, and alerting the appropriate member of staff of their arrival.
- Fulfilling other general receptionist duties, including ensuring the reception area is kept clean and tidy and that publications/circulars made available in that area are relevant and up-to-date, organising visitor refreshments and organising taxis for visitors as required. Ensuring reception/telephone cover is maintained when away from the front desk.
- Overseeing the office stationery supplies to ensure that stocks are maintained, negotiating prices with suppliers and ordering goods.
- Responsible for the franking/preparation of outgoing post, including the completion of paperwork for non-standard postal services, and ensuring the post is taken to the post office each evening ahead of closure deadlines.
- Preparation and circulation of a staff weekly whereabouts sheet.
- Maintaining and updating the staff signing-in boards.
General administrative duties (shared with the other Team Administrator):
- Processing incoming post before passing to the Records and Correspondence Manager for further action.
- Assist in the administration of central office emails, filtering the messages and forwarding those requiring further action to the Records and Correspondence Manager.
- Production of standard letters as directed by the Records and Correspondence Manager.
Booking of travel/hotels for members of the Archbishop of York's team as required.
About You
Essential
Knowledge/Experience
- Proven ability in managing diaries, correspondence and papers for a manager with the ability to find creative solutions.
- Experience of, and confidence in, dealing with a wide range of people in the course of work, including at a senior level.
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience organising meetings and/or events.
- Evidence of dealing with confidential and sensitive material
- Excellent knowledge of IT and experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Delivery of the Spear Programme – Group and 1:1 coaching
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.

The post holder will be employed by Coram, a service with a long track record of serving children well and outstanding ratings from Ofsted. The task for the Regional Adoption Agency is to ensure that all children who have a plan for adoption are given every chance to have that ambition realised and when placed in a permanent family receive relevant support as their needs change and develop.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic family finding Social Worker or Senior Practitioner wishing to play an active role in the delivery and development of a high quality adoption service as part of the Coram Ambitious for Adoption RAA. The post holder will be based in London Borough of Harrow and will have access to services within Harrow to undertake the family finding task and be part of a bigger network of practitioners from across the RAA. All Coram staff are actively engaged in activities with colleagues to improve the quality of services and to develop themselves as adoption practitioner.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …
To oversee the smooth running of the Society’s publishing platform, which showcases our portfolio of online titles. Reporting to the Head of Publishing Operations (HoPO), you will be chiefly responsible for the management, support and maintenance of the Atypon powered Lyell Collection platform.
You will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and stay up to date with the latest emerging platform technologies. You will be responsible for maintaining the Society’s online publishing platforms, so an understanding of a range of standard integrations, workflows, html and XML is essential.
Key accountabilities
Platform maintenance
- Oversee and maintain the Atypon Web Admin Tool (WAT) for the Society’s scholarly book and journal platform.
- Manage a queue of platform maintenance and change requests, including triage, feasibility analysis, testing and quality assurance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting platform issues to Atypon (the hosting provider), managing communications, and monitoring the support ticket system to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot platform issues reported internally and communicate resolution statuses.
- Support development of new platform features and assist with implementation and QA.
- Maintain, validate, edit, and troubleshoot JATS XML while staying current with JATS and NISO standards and ensuring vendor compliance.
- Set up new pages and journal/book series sites within the platform as needed, ensuring all new website content is consistent with site templates and branding.
- Ensure that any new developments are tested and work as per requirements, utilizing the test facilities of the platform via sandbox areas.

- Manage web accessibility compliance in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors by overseeing the implementation of necessary improvements in line with publishing standards and directives.

About the role
Over the last two consecutive financial years, we have raised approximately £1 million each year – primarily through trusts and foundations, corporate donors, and individual supporters. As the successful candidate, you and the team you lead will play a pivotal role in maintaining this level of fundraising success, ensuring our vital work with young people continues to flourish. This role will involve:
- Reviewing and evaluating our funder qualification processes to ensure donors align with our values and meet our ethical standards.
- Ensuring that detailed research on prospective funding opportunities, including trusts, foundations, corporate partners, HNWIs, are carried out and that plans for making approaches are developed and carefully implemented.
- Initiating, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective funders and donors.

Grosvenor Chapel is a Chapel of Ease in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St George’s Hanover Square.
Located on South Audley Street in the heart of what is fondly referred to as the ‘Village of Mayfair’, the Chapel has been serving the community of Mayfair and beyond for almost three hundred years.
Over the last three years the Chapel has been going through a period of transition, renewal and growth. We currently have a modest annual income, which comes from regular giving, occasional donations, and the hiring out of our Chapel rooms and car bays, and are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to help with the day-to-day management of the Chapel’s finances.
Whilst some tasks are covered by existing staff, the Finance Officer will have responsibility for overseeing the Chapel’s accounting processes, monitoring income and expenditure, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, overseeing service cash collections and banking, completing the monthly reconciliations and preparation of financial reports, helping with any VAT and quarterly gift aid returns. The role will also be required to support the annual budgeting process, year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.

In recent years OTR has seen a significant increase in demand for our youth mental health services and we now reach over 17,000 young people each year. We are seeking a Head of Finance to oversee our (circa) £3m annual budget and to ensure that our finance operation is efficient and effective. This role will lead OTR’s finance function and, as well as having responsibility for day-to-day financial processes, will be a key member of the organisation’s senior leadership team (SLT). The role will involve providing financial insight to the SLT and Board of Trustees to improve understanding and inform strategic decision making. Examples of this will include analysing the financial performance of different activities of the organisation and preparing budget and forecast information.
We are looking for an individual with demonstrable experience in a finance management role which includes a strategic focus, preferably in the voluntary sector. The successful candidate will be a flexible and meticulous individual who is able to present complex information to a range of audiences. Equally important is a strong personal interest in and commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
