Responsibilities of our Health and Safety Officer:
- Conduct in-person health & safety and fire risk assessments across centres and shops, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse trends, and recommend preventative actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, assessments, and incidents in line with data protection requirements
- Work with colleagues across teams to implement remedial actions from inspections and audits
- Promote completion of H&S e-learning and identify additional training needs

About the Health & Safety and Environment team:
The team manages most Health and Safety functions in-house and works closely with departments across Cats Protection. It includes a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator, and four regional officers covering the UK. The team supports retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, and branch volunteer enquiries.
What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer:

- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting

We are looking for a part-time Communications Manager to support MDP in the communication of our work through social media, press engagement, community storytelling, and organisational communications.
To build migrant power, we need strategic, sharp, engaging, and sometimes humorous content on migrant justice and democracy in the UK. We need to tell the stories of our communities and why the right to vote is essential to different audiences through different channels - online and in the press. TERMS AND BENEFITS

The Sick Children's Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming 'Home from Home' where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we're more than bricks and mortar, our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing around 3,200 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the hospital means that they can be by their sick child's side and have one less thing to worry about.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding fundraising management role, focused on developing and delivering an ambitious community and events fundraising programme that generates sustainable income, increases awareness of our work and builds long-term supporter relationships.
You will lead the development of community fundraising across the UK, supporting and inspiring individuals, families, schools, community groups, volunteers and local businesses to raise funds for the charity. Context of Role
2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person
aged 25 and under. We are an All-Wales and part England charity providing immediate
casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative
therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families
affected by the sudden and unexpected death of their child or young adult.
Main Duties
1.0. Service:
1.1: To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0-25
have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the region
1.2: To contact all families within 24-48 hours of the referrals by telephone
1.3: Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line
with safeguarding and risk reduction
1.4: Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing
weekly telephone calls
1.5: To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising
formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the
bereaved individual
1.6: To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other
healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity
1.7: To liaise with other professionals working alongside the family to provide a holistic and multi-agency

As we continue to grow our service across the North West, we are looking to recruit a Family Engagement Officer to join our newly established North West team. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in the growth and development of our vital service, particularly in the Merseyside area. The London Irish Centre is seeking an experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable Advice Worker to join our committed team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in welfare rights and housing, and a strong commitment to supporting those facing financial hardship or insecure living conditions. In this role, you will work directly with clients to deliver accredited advice and practical guidance, helping them navigate complex systems and secure the support they need. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a holistic and integrated service that puts community needs first.
The Advice Service is dedicated to enhancing income, alleviating poverty, and ensuring secure housing for community members throughout London. Our goal is to empower individuals by facilitating access to appropriate support through a strength-based and person-centered approach. We offer accredited information and advice on welfare benefits and housing, as well as assistance in obtaining grants.
As an integral part of the London Irish Centre's Community services, the Advice Service collaborates with our Support Service, Citizenship and Identity, Health Navigation, Community Programmes (responsible for events and activities), and our specialized Survivor Integrated Service. Together, we strive to deliver community-led and best-practice support.

RSPCA Finchley, Golders Green, Hendon & District Branch is looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive Senior Animal Welfare Officer to join our growing team supporting animals and local communities across North London.
Location: North London
Salary: £22,620 per annum
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 1 year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension
This is a rewarding and varied frontline role where no two days are the same. You will be involved in rescuing and supporting vulnerable animals, coordinating veterinary treatment and ongoing care, supporting fostering and rehoming pathways, responding to welfare concerns and helping deliver community welfare initiatives across the Branch area.
You will work closely with members of the public, volunteers, fosterers, veterinary partners, local Inspectorate teams and external agencies to help deliver high-quality welfare support to animals in need. The role will also include supporting the Branch Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programme for stray and feral cats, assisting with animal transport and admissions, maintaining welfare records and helping strengthen frontline animal welfare provision across North London.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in animal welfare, rescue or a similar environment who is confident handling cats and other domestic animals, able to manage varied casework calmly and professionally, and committed to delivering high standards of animal welfare with empathy and compassion.
The role will include some occasional evenings and weekends in line with operational needs.

The Development Officer will support the delivery of the Association’s income generation and partnership strategy, helping to diversify and grow funding streams across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, grants and strategic collaborations.
