This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, high-quality delivery of our respite breaks, wellbeing programmes and outreach services, alongside building strong relationships that help grow our reach and referral base.

You’ll lead a flexible workforce and oversee day-to-day operations, while also working externally with schools, local authorities and partner agencies to strengthen referral pathways and increase access to our services, particularly across Glasgow, Edinburgh and North/East Ayrshire.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll make sure services are deliverable, sustainable and aligned with future growth. A big part of the role is understanding local need and helping shape how and where our services are delivered.

GFA World's mission is to help people know Jesus and experience His love in places where there is little or no Christian presence. Every donation, prayer, event, communication, and ministry activity relies on strong systems and faithful stewardship behind the scenes. 

This role helps ensure that GFA World remains financially sound, legally compliant, operationally effective, and a healthy place for staff to serve. You will help steward the resources entrusted to us by our partners, support the staff who carry out the ministry, and maintain the systems that allow our work to grow sustainably.

As a small and highly collaborative team, we do not have separate departments for finance, human resources, compliance, facilities, health and safety, or operations. Instead, we rely on people who are willing to take ownership, learn new things, solve problems, and help strengthen the organisation wherever needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating and improving systems, spotting gaps, and ensuring that important things do not fall through the cracks.

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance & Accounting (25%)

• Maintain online accounting system (QuickBooks Online) and other related financial systems.
• Maintain and improve accounting structures, nominal ledger, and chart of account.
• Review, maintain, and automate transaction processing workflows.
• Upload and reconcile donations and other financialtransactions.
• Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Oversee pension administration and HMRC submissions.
• Prepare budgets and reports in collaboration with leadership.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and identify variances.
• Assist with year-end processes and external audits.

People & Culture (25%)

• Administer HR system (Employment Hero) and maintain accurate staff records.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and off-boarding processes.
• Maintain employment documentation, contracts, and policies in accordance with GDPR.

GFA World is a Christian ministry, and prayer is central to who we are and how we serve.

As Finance and Operations Manager, you will play a central role in our organisation- contributing to strategic decision-making while enabling frontline staff to deliver high-quality services. You will help ensure English+ remains financially secure, maintains strong donor relationships, and continues to be a leading community-based ESOL provider in Norfolk.

This role has an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be an active Christian and to be prepared to lead staff and others in prayer times and work with churches.

What you will be working on:

• Working closely with the Charity Director and Trustees, you will develop and manage the charity’s financial strategy, including setting annual budgets and producing quarterly management accounts with clear spend-versus-budget reporting. You will liaise with external accountants to prepare year-end accounts and take responsibility for day-to-day financial operations, including payroll and maximising Gift Aid income.
• In partnership with the Charity Director, you will help secure the organisation’s financial sustainability by preparing funding bids, monitoring programme finances, and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation.
• You will also support the Charity Director and Trustees with staff recruitment, drafting contracts and job descriptions, and overseeing leave and timesheet processes.
• Working with the Charity Director and Support Manager, you will help ensure that policies and procedures are robust, up to date, and aligned with operational needs, contributing to policy development, updates, and risk assessments.
• In addition, you will manage and report on key data relating to students, volunteers, and donors, producing management information and contributing to both the Charity Commission Annual Report and the English+ annual report.
• As part of a collaborative team, you will also help plan and deliver events such as the Summer Programme and seasonal activities. Given the nature of a small organisation, there may occasionally be opportunities to support wider activities, including assisting with classes where needed.

The Role

You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Practice responsibility for areas of TACT Scotland, including managing Social Work staff, Students, Placement team, Admin Team and Children’s Support Workers.

1- Purpose:

The Finance and Operations Manager ensures the effective financial, administrative, and operational functioning of Right To Play UK and support the establishment of Right To Play Ireland by overseeing accurate financial records, coordinating people and legal processes, and continuously improving business systems and practices to support and enable successful fundraising outcomes.

2- Accountability & Responsibilities:

Finance (90%)

• Lead financial management, compliance, budgeting and reporting for Right To Play UK and Right To Play Ireland by ensuring accurate and timely recording of all expenses and revenue connected with the operation of the offices
•  Ensure revenue is appropriately captured and coded and reconciled with bank.
• Oversee liquidity/cashflow, procurement, payroll, audits, tax reporting, and external financial relationships
• Deliver reliable management and statutory reports to leadership, Boards, HQ, and authorities.

4-Leadership and Staff management

The role exercises functional and collaborative leadership with no direct reports, providing guidance and influence across Right To Play UK and Right To Play Ireland. Leadership is demonstrated through setting standards and supporting teams to work effectively within organizational policies and financial controls, by providing authoritative guidance to the offices on financial policies, internal controls, and risk management; escalating material risks and recommending mitigation actions to the Executive Director and HQ Finance. The incumbent is expected to operate effectively in a low segregation environment due to small staff size by implementing and monitoring compensating controls (spot checks, reviews with Executive Director, exception reporting) to maintain strong control integrity.

The incumbent requires secure access to accurate financial, donor, and operational data - primarily through the MCRM and ERP systems - which is already identified and readily available and applies established analysis and reporting methods as a super-user to interpret information, ensure compliance, protect confidential constituent records, and support informed financial and operational decision-making.

The incumbent is expected to drive process improvements and functional innovations within the offices—data integrity, financial tracking, and internal collaboration—while supporting others to implement these changes, with major or high-risk innovations subject to approval by the Executive Director.

Role Description

The Programme Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of all student related events. This will include having a full understanding of the SEO-London law programmes; understanding the legal industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO-London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme.   

Reporting to the Head of Law Programme, you will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all students of the Corporate Law Programme and City Solicitors Horizons scheme. 

Accountabilities  

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS  

• Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities pages, promoting events and managing the law commercial awareness newsletter content.   

  
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING   
   

• Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London  

• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events  

• Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)  

• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students 

• Provide oversight of cv support, screening, and recruitment preparation   

• Responsible for attending campus events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm  

• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations   

 QUALITY ASSURANCE  

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes.  Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM. 

Required qualifications 

• A Law degree (LLB) or a combined degree such as Law with another subject

Skills & Experience 

We are looking for applicants with 1–2 years of experience in some of the areas listed below and a willingness to learn and develop additional skills: 

Essential 

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging online sessions 

• Excellent business writing and organisational skills 

• Strong stakeholder management abilities 

• A keen interest in, and some knowledge of, an aspiring solicitor’s early career journey (school and university stages) 

• A collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude, able to handle requests at short notice and work under pressure

• Ability to use Teams and Zoom, including creating and managing breakout rooms 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

Preferred 

• Project management experience 

• Experience with database management and data analysis, including applicant tracking systems (such as Salesforce) 

• Familiarity with Canva and digital communication platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp

Helpful 

• Understanding of employability skills required for students to be job-market ready 

• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles 

• Empathetic approach to working with others 

• Experience in recruitment or a target-driven sales environment
