The Role

As a Debt Caseworker, you will work directly with clients experiencing debt and financial hardship. You will provide high-quality advice and casework, helping clients understand their options and take positive steps towards resolving their financial difficulties.

You will support clients with compassion and professionalism, breaking down complex information into practical, achievable solutions. This includes assessing financial circumstances, preparing realistic budgets, identifying priority debts, negotiating with creditors, and empowering clients to make informed decisions about their finances.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified Debt Adviser with experience of providing debt advice and casework.

However, we recognise the value of developing new talent and would also welcome applications from individuals with relevant skills, experience, and a strong commitment to learning. For the right candidate, a Trainee Debt Adviser position may be offered, with a structured training and development programme leading to competency in debt advice.

We would love to hear from you it you are:

  • Experience of debt, money, welfare benefits, or related advice work.
  • Knowledge of debt services, creditor negotiation, and financial capability support.
  • An empathetic communicator
  • Comfortable with numbers and difficult conversations
  • A natural problem‑solver who stays calm under pressure
  • Organised, resilient, and adaptable
  • A team player who’s open to feedback

Debt advice qualifications are helpful but not essential — we’ll support your development every step of the way.
