We are looking for a part-time Operations Manager to support our Executive Director and wider team by taking an operational lead, keeping a birds eye view over all of our activities and our infrastructure - and ensuring the principles and processes we’ve collectively agreed to are working optimally.
You will provide essential operational, administrative, financial and IT support. Lead in the day to day operations of the organisation, including office tasks, diary management and systemic thinking for our internal communications.
TERMS AND BENEFITS
Fixed term contract for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £38,000 pro rata (equivalent to £22,800 per year), with a September or October 2026 start.
25 days of paid annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays. In addition, the MDP office closes for two paid weeks over Christmas and New Year.

Project Management: support the team with resources, templates and systems for them to do their work effectively, implementing and managing MDP's project management platform and ensure the team are supported through their work.
Security of the team and community: staying up to date with best practice on digital and physical security and ensure the wider community that interacts with MDP is safeguarded.
People Management and recruitment: maintaining records of staff leave, expenses and training needs, support the Executive Director with recruitment processes and ensure the team has access to the processes allowing them to grow and flourish.
Online systems: manage MDP's Google Workspace, internal communications and staff shared drives, accounts and onboarding.

At least three years of experience in an administrative, operations, or office management role, ideally within a small NGO or human rights organisation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

Excellent digital skills including on platforms such as Excel, Airtable, Google Workspace, or general software.

About the Role
As Grant-Making Officer, you will support the delivery of GiveOut's grant-making programme, helping ensure that funding reaches LGBTQI activist organisations efficiently, responsibly and in line with GiveOut's values and grant-making policies.
Reporting to the Grant-Making Manager, you will coordinate key aspects of the grant-making cycle, support grant partners throughout the grant lifecycle, and help maintain the systems, processes and relationships that underpin GiveOut's grant-making programme.

About the Role
We are seeking a day support worker for our high-quality, self-contained accommodation for women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage. The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic, trauma and psychologically-informed environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The role is located at an 18-bed, 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham.
In this role, you will provide support to all the women, including co-designing and running activities (such as art groups, self-care sessions, nature walks, cooking activities etc.) and accompanying women to appointments. You will work closely with Specialist Support Workers who manage individual resident support and safety plans.
The service and the wider organisation recognise the high levels of trauma that precede and perpetuate homelessness, and the complex, interconnecting needs that develop against this backdrop (including mental and physical health difficulties, substance misuse, brain injury, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal problems, and stigma and exclusion). The service operates as a best-practice, Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), working in close partnership with homeless mental health experts and includes an in-house psychologist, offering therapeutic input to residents, and support and training to staff. In this role, you will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rota, covering the hours 07:45 am to 20:15 pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.
Due to the nature of this women’s supported housing service and the needs of the residents, this role is open to women only. This is considered to be an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Context of Role
2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person
aged 25 and under. We are an All-Wales and part England charity providing immediate
casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative
therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families
affected by the sudden and unexpected death of their child or young adult.
Main Duties
1.0. Service:
1.1: To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0-25
have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the region
1.2: To contact all families within 24-48 hours of the referrals by telephone
1.3: Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line
with safeguarding and risk reduction
1.4: Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing
weekly telephone calls
1.5: To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising
formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the
bereaved individual
1.6: To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other
healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity
1.7: To liaise with other professionals working alongside the family to provide a holistic and multi-agency
approach to support
1.8: Attend relevant forums within the area
1.9: To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on
the use of the bereavement boxes, referring into the charity and bereavement awareness
1.10: To monitor the use of the memory boxes and ensure families have been offered a memory box
1.11: To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for
bereaved individuals to use as required
1.12: Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or
young person
1.13: To submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports to Bereavement Services Manager as required
1.14: To signpost and/or refer to other agencies as required that can provide support as needed
1.15: Cover members of the support team for annual leave and/or sickness
General
2.1: To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
2.2: To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
2.3: To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team
2.4: To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality,

2.5: To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join their organisation as a Peer Mentor. As a Peer Mentor you will need to have living experience of mental health difficulties and have gained a level of insight into your mental health experience and be ready to talk about them openly. It is important that applicants have reached a period of stability and can manage their mental health and wellbeing, for them to be ready for this role. They are looking for someone who is ready to use their experience to support and inspire service users in their recovery journey. Peer Mentors support service users on their emotional journey, and form therapeutic alliances to share ways of coping, understanding and nurturing hope and inspirations.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, with a good understanding of the individual recovery journey and the issues facing people suffering with mental health difficulties. They need a Peer Mentor who is able to share the values of their organisation and is passionate about their vision of “Better Mental Health for All” in Birmingham.
You would be joining their Intensive Community Rehabilitation service, a multi-disciplinary team ran jointly with the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust. You will be supporting service users primarily with psychosis, bipolar and schizophrenia, among other additional mental health diagnosis, who are living in their own accommodation and require a period of intense rehabilitation. Support will be provided in the community and the service users own home and when necessary hospital settings throughout the Birmingham area when required. The service aims to provide rehabilitation in the community rather than hospital settings and to help people adjust and avoid repeat admissions. The team is made up of both clinical and psychological professionals, and our clients staff, and applicants must be ready to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team. The service runs from 9am-8pm, and some evening and weekend work is required.
