The Charity Delivery Lead will drive the success of key charity and community programs and charity initiatives across our 13 venues. Line managing staff in a matrix model, you will provide operational guidance, a delivery framework, and expert advice to ensure that each program is successfully implemented and achieves its objectives. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager of each venue, ensuring the alignment of charity initiatives with broader venue goals.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery Support
Provide expert advice and practical frameworks to Charity Officers as they deliver and facilitate key programs such as Fun, Food & Golf, Community Cafes, and This Girl Can. Ensure each program aligns with the charity’s mission and goals.

Program Coordination & Monitoring
Ensure that programs are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to a high standard across all venues. Support Charity Officers in tracking program outcomes and assessing impact, making adjustments as needed.

Training & Development
Provide training, resources, and support to Charity Officers to ensure they have the knowledge and tools necessary to deliver high-quality community programs. Share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Framework & Process Development:
Develop and implement operational frameworks, guidelines, and processes for program delivery, ensuring consistency across all 13 venues. Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations to improve program quality and participant satisfaction and outcomes.

Reporting & Communication:
Report regularly to the Chief People Officer on program performance, challenges, and successes. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders (including Trustees), demonstrating the impact of charity programs and their alignment with the overall strategy.

Collaborative Working:
Work closely with the marketing and communications team to promote charity programs across different channels, including social media, local events, and the charity’s website. Help raise awareness of the charity’s work and encourage broader community participation.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing
Ensure that all programs adhere to safeguarding guidelines, especially for vulnerable groups such as those impacted by dementia and children. Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Person Specification

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in community program delivery, charity work, or sports-related initiatives, with a focus on social impact and inclusivity.
• Strong knowledge of program design and delivery, particularly in sports, health, and community development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse communities, local venues, and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting and mentoring teams, even without direct line management responsibilities.
• Ability to create and implement structured frameworks and processes to improve program delivery and achieve outcomes.
• A genuine passion for using golf/ sport as a tool to improve lives and create positive change within communities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives across multiple venues.
• An understanding of safeguarding and wellbeing guidelines and practises, particularly in working with vulnerable groups having performed the role of Welfare Officer, Designated Safeguarding Lead or equivalent.

Desirable

• Familiarity with programs related to dementia care, women and girls' sports participation, or community wellness.
• Knowledge of fundraising, grant applications, or sponsorship in the charity sector.
• Experience in working with or within community-based organisations.
• A relevant qualification in community development, sports management, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.

Centre 404 is looking for an experienced and ambitious Fundraising & Engagement Manager to lead and grow our fundraising and engagement activity—helping us provide vital support to people with learning disabilities and their families.

About the Role

• Grow Community & Corporate Partnerships - network widely to raise Centre 404’s profile.  Secure financial support, gifts in kind and employee engagement.  Support individuals and teams to succeed in their own fundraising efforts.
• Strengthen Communications & Impact - work with the Communications Team to create engaging digital content and newsletters.  Champion consistent, mission‑driven messaging across all platforms.
• Lead with Purpose - Embed a fundraising culture across the organisation.  Implement a CRM system to manager data effectively. Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the management team.

About You

• Substantial experience in fundraising from at least one of the following: trusts and foundations, corporates or individual giving.
• Substantial understanding of charity sector regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical fundraising standards.
• Knowledge of donor stewardship and supporter engagement strategies.
• A track record of achieving and exceeding fundraising targets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and campaigns.
• Excellent project management, data monitoring, and CRM experience.

Thousands of older people living in care homes receive few or no visitors. Friends for Life Bedford exists to change that.

Through our befriending and group activities, we bring companionship, connection and meaningful relationships to care home residents across Bedfordshire.

About Friends for Life Bedfordshire

We are a Bedford-based charity working to address the social isolation of older residents in Bedfordshire’s care homes.

Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a registered charity with c90 volunteers supporting more than 30 care homes across Bedford Borough. In the last year, over 1,100 care home residents received our services.

About the Role 

The Development Operations team enables all philanthropic income across the Barbican. As we prepare for a major comprehensive campaign and significant growth in activity, The Development Manager, Operations is central to strengthening the systems and infrastructure that support our fundraising.
You will lead a team spanning CRM, prospect research, events operations and audience giving, ensuring the department has the systems, insight and financial rigour to deliver sustainable income growth at scale.

What we expect from you

Working alongside the Head of Operations, CEO and department heads, your responsibilities will cover Shift.ms and its wholly owned subsidiary, realworld ms ltd, as follows:

Financial management

• Be the primary point of contact for our Treasurer, Accountant and External Auditor;

• Review and constantly improve processes and internal controls for finance;

• Lead the development of annual budgets and shorter/longer term forecasts as needed;

• Manage accounting, budget and cash flow,  and working with the CEO, develop cost reduction strategies as needed;

• Prepare monthly management accounts incorporating variance analysis of budgets vs. actuals and headline narrative;

• Manage monthly payroll with an external payroll provider;

• Draft consolidated statutory accounts for audit and lead the coordination of year-end audit;

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the Group and be the main point of contact for HMRC;

• Make recommendations for corporate gift aid donations based on performance and future forecasts for the subsidiary;

• Present finance updates in-person at quarterly board meetings normally held in London;

• Manage and lead FinCom meetings, typically held quarterly;

• Attend the trustee annual away weekend.

Bookkeeping 

• Lead the financial operations of the charity including recording transactions onto the finance system (Quickbooks), managing cashflow, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments;

• Complete month end reconciliations as part of the preparation of monthly management accounts;

• Track, calculate and process intercompany recharges to ensure costs sit within the correct entity;

• Track and ensure correct treatment and reporting of restricted/unrestricted funds;

• Process employee, volunteer & trustee expense claims;

• Manage the relationship with an external payroll bureau, liaising with them to ensure payroll is processed accurately and paid on time;

• Support employee onboarding including obtaining details for payroll and pre employment checks.

Other 

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on projects and reporting; 

• Track income receipts and projections for weekly income generation calls with heads of department;

• Process gift aid claims;

• Process incentive payments for realworld ms participants;

• Renew insurances.

Qualifications, skills and abilities (E= Essential D = Desirable)

• Be part or fully qualified with a professional accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with at least 2-3 years post qualification experience. (E)

• Employment history in a charity/3rd sector role (D)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Donor Identification, solicitation and management 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to grow the donor portfolio in the UK by identifying prospects, building relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Identify and deliver unique stewardship and cultivation opportunities for donors.

• Manage a portfolio of major donors through various personalised approaches, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, events and written and verbal communications. 

• Ensure excellent and timely response to enquiries and stewardship and acknowledgement of gifts. 

Events coordination 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to help shape and deliver events and other engagement opportunities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors. 

• Take responsibility for tailored and timely event follow-up to maximise relationships and using learnings and data from past events to develop donor engagement, referrals and gifts. 

Research, communications and administration  

• Research potential new donors and funding streams.

• Support the production of proposals, pitches, reports and general supporter communications. 

• Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording of interactions and progression related to all donor relationships 

• Provide executive assistance to the UK Country Manager and senior stakeholders in relation to scheduling supporter meetings, drafting communications and provision of information to underpin successful supporter engagement. 

• Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of HPF’s programmes. 

• Carry out administrative activities and other duties, as required, to maximise fundraising. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

• Experience developing relationships with and securing funding from high-net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Entrepreneurial approach to relationship management and creating new fundraising initiatives. 

• Experience in coordination and delivery of bespoke, high-quality events for influential audiences. 

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and a proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF. 

• Experience of writing inspiring, emotive, and technically fundraising communications and materials tailored to a major donor audience. 

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage own workload. 

• Results driven self-starter, able to operate independently and under pressure, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in a virtual team. 

• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, across multiple teams and geographies.

The Finance and Business Operations Director will lead VAST’s financial and operational strategy, ensuring robust financial management, effective HR and IT systems, compliance with Health and Safety, and the efficient running of The Dudson Centre.

The postholder will act as Company Secretary, overseeing governance and compliance, and also serve as the organisation’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

In 2025, we experienced our busiest year on record, our lifesaving service is in continued and growing demand, we need a dedicated and ambitious Senior Philanthropy Officer to help us deliver our plans to raise vital funds from philanthropic audiences.

Role Summary:

• Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of funders and donors including trusts, foundations and major donors to meet financial and non-financial targets
• Maximise income through the development of co-ordinated stewardship and relationship management
• Produce compelling proposals, reports, and presentations. and deliver inspiring base tours.
• Source funding for specific projects and work programmes, as well as core costs
• Manage an opportunity pipeline, research and identify new prospects
• Report progress against financial and non financial KPI’s on a monthly basis
• Support the Philanthropy Manager with strategic projects to build and develop philanthropy at Magpas Air Ambulance

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in a philanthropy or fundraising relationship management role, within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong track record in securing and managing philanthropic donors and building long-term relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport with Trusts and Foundations, HNWI’s, Trustees and Senior volunteers.
• Experience in managing donor portfolios and opportunity pipelines.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple applications/relationships simultaneously
• Full driving licence with own transport

Bedford Foodbank is an independent charity operating as a member of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. We employ 2 paid full time and 5 part time staff and are supported by 120 volunteers each week. The mission of Bedford Foodbank is to provide emergency food and support to individuals and families in crisis, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. Role Purpose

The Operations Director role is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the foodbank, ensuring sustainable service delivery while driving income generation and fundraising growth. You will oversee operations, fundraising strategy, partnerships, and compliance, ensuring the charity can meet increasing community need in a financially sustainable way with a passion for tackling poverty.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of the foodbank, ensuring efficient, safe, and compassionate service delivery.
• Oversee logistics including food sourcing, storage, distribution, and volunteer deployment.
• Deliver a fundraising and grant writing strategy to ensure long-term financial sustainability
• Monitor operational performance and report regularly to the Trustees.
• Managing employees and volunteers to ensure they are supported, motivated, and aligned with the charity’s mission
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, faith groups, businesses, schools, and other charities.

Person Specification

The organisation is seeking a motivated and inspiring leader full of energy and ideas to lead and grow fundraising. The Interim Head of Development will lead the delivery of the fundraising strategy and will support any capital fundraising campaign planning for the future, while also liaising and reporting to the Board of Trustees where appropriate. The postholder will be responsible for generating all fundraised income (c. £1m per annum currently) from corporates, individuals and trusts and foundations, which represents approximately 26% of the organisation’s total income. The postholder will lead the Development Team and will report to the Director.

The selected candidate will have a demonstrable track record of successful fundraising including major donor fundraising and writing successful grant applications. You will have the ability to combine strategic thinking with attention to detail and will ideally have worked in the arts and culture sector, understanding its nuances and donor motivations, before.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team at Help for Heroes. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the charity’s subject matter expert, ensuring we meet our legal obligations and proactively embedding a positive, proportionate safety and wellbeing culture that safeguards our people, volunteers, service users, and visitors.

You’ll be based primarily in our main office in Downton, but your work will reach across a diverse range of activities such as community delivery programmes, internal events, and fundraising operations ensuring that colleagues and volunteers across all settings have the guidance and support they need. About You

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
