Opportunity to pioneer work with children of all ages within the local community at an exciting Community Hub. The Rising Generation Pastor will oversee a team of children's and youth workers, supporting them in offering a wide range of groups and events. 

Overall responsibilities include:

- Overseeing all areas of ministry to the rising generation (0 - 18 year olds) within the church and the local community, including holding the overall vision.

- Line managing the youth team including the Assistant Youth Pastor, PAIS Apprentice team leader and Trainee Kids and Families Pastor.

- Engaging with local schools and building on existing relationships.

- Overseeing the rising generation budget and engaging with the fundraising team to seek funding opportunities.

General Duties:

- To find and initiate innovative ways of engaging with children, young people and their families both within the local community and those already engaged with church.

- To work with the Rector, the PCC and rising generation team in growing the St Peter's vision and strategy for reaching the rising generation in our local community and helping them grow as followers of Jesus.

- To oversee the running of a range of different activities and projects for children and young people in the St Peter's Community and Youth Hub.

- Work alongside mission partners such as PAIS and Scripture Union.

- To visit local schools regularly and lead acts of worship within them.

- To lead lunchtime and/or after school activities in schools, including expanding use of our Youth Alpha material.

- To assist in providing chaplaincy as requested within the local schools and to seek opportunities to grow mission.

Safeguarding

- To oversee the Children's and Youth Ministry in a way that follows National Safeguarding Guidelines.

- To respond effectively and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns as they arise, following the safeguarding protocol.

- To build and maintain consistent appropriate relationships with children and young people in person (employed staff or volunteer team members must not engage in exclusive or romantic relationships with young people under the age of 18 or vulnerable adults as this against the law and could result in prosecution).

Conduct high level analysis and interpretation of management information for a variety of audiences.
Develop reports and visualisations from our data warehouses using BI tools (Power BI, Business Objects, SSRS) to enable self- service reporting across the business.
Produce performance reports for senior managers and Board members to ensure they understand how Look Ahead is performing against its priorities.
Work with managers throughout the organisation to understand their business priorities and to ensure that they have effective information management systems in place to deliver these.
Ensure that Look Ahead complies with external performance reporting requirements including contractual measures and regulatory returns.
Ensure all BI work meets data protection and information governance requirements.

About the role:

This role supports the delivery of stories and campaigns that achieve media coverage nationally and in regional media that fall outside of our hospice catchment areas.

You will lead on PR support for some key areas of the charity, including retail and volunteering.
You’ll also gain exposure to all the teams that the press office supports, which includes writing press assets for fundraising, healthcare, bereavement and influencing/campaigning stories.

It will primarily be supporting people living in exempt accommodation who have support needs relating to addiction and who are in active treatment or contemplating treatment.

The aims of this service are to provide additional support to improve access and sustainment of suitable accommodation for people engaging in structured drug and alcohol treatment, to reduce the scale of unmet housing need for this group of clients and to build evidence of housing-related need and effective interventions. Duties and key responsibilities

Fundraising Support

• Provide administration and operational support across the fundraising team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising enquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support, guidance and thanking donors and fundraisers.
• Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential supporters.
• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to supporters.
• Support challenge event fundraising by stewarding fundraisers, providing logistical support and administrative duties.
• Support the delivery of community campaigns, concentrating on the innovative fundraising elements, and providing stewardship to fundraisers.
• Support the planning and delivery of campaigns and special events and provide on the day support.

 Administrative Support

• Monitor the fundraising section on Sarcoma UK’s website, ensuring all fundraising pages are kept up to date and relevant.
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
• Work with the database and fundraising teams to evaluate and analyse fundraising activities. 
• Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general office and digital administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.

 Stock and Online Shop

• Monitor Sarcoma UK’s online shop, and ecommerce platform. Ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
• Assist with maintaining external storage unit and keeping records of the contents.
• Liaise with suppliers, process orders, and ensure smooth fulfilment of orders.
• Research and create new merchandise and fundraising materials, keeping up to date with new trends and ensure offering is fresh and innovative.

Other

• Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• To undertake all duties in line with the Sarcoma UKs policies, procedures and regulations ensuring that the work.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have full and part-time roles available (minimum 22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records.
