Your role

A key part of CMS’s approach to mission is to engage in mission through partnership with locally based organisations and people (we call these “strategic partners”). CMS seeks to bring value to these partnerships in three key ways: catalysing and building movement, resourcing mission activity (through grants) and placing people.

Your role (working under the mission manager’s guidance) is to apply the relevant policies, processes and systems across partnerships in Africa, in support of the mission team’s work, and to help the team track its progress against our mission aims.

What could my day look like?

We are looking for a reliable and proactive leader with senior leadership experience and strong partnership development skills. The Digital Mobilisation Manager will lead Safe Passage’s digital programme, sitting within both our Fundraising and Campaigns teams. They will mobilise supporters through timely actions; manage, develop and grow our digital channels strategically; and be at the centre of meeting our fundraising and campaign goals. They will lead on the development of our digital strategy with oversight from the leadership team, implementing it through expert, hands-on content creation.  

This post is an exciting role, responsible for mobilising campaign actions and helping raise the money needed for Safe Passage to do its important work. Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Ashfield. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programmes at HMP Ashfield, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn. This role also includes providing daily assistance in the running of the prison library and of library outreach including facilitation of activity groups.

Ideally you will have some experience working within a prison environment, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will have a love for reading and be able to help inspire others (including those who find reading difficult) to enjoy all of the benefits of reading for pleasure.

The role is prison-based. FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.  

As a RISE Advisor working on our RISE programme you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery and the development of the service. The service provides a range of trauma-informed and person-centred one to one and group support to victims and those who have harmed aged 15 and above. We provided focused support to those impacted by Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking to access education, training, employment or volunteering.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.

This role will be on a 12 month contract and can be based in Devon, Wiltshire or Gloucestershire. It may include evening and weekend work when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and assess service users to consider their suitability for the RISE Service.
• Utilise a trauma informed approach to help people return to or access ETE.
• Support individuals to increase work related skills, such as the development of CV writing, financial management and IT skills.
• Work with a diverse client group, creating bespoke action and support plans for each individual.
• Facilitate group support sessions in addition to one-to-one support.
• With support and advice from the Service manager, support and help develop new groups following a trauma informed approach.
• Build and further developing relationships/links with ETE providers and corporate partners to expand the provision for our service users.
• Risk assess those you are supporting and take proactive action to address risk and safeguarding concerns.
• Play an active role in the recruitment process of volunteers in addition to management of volunteers, ensuring they are kept up to date and involved in the organisation, and able to support our service users.
• Ensure risk assessments are completed where required and safety plans are completed on time and regularly.
• Work closely with the service manager to develop the service, supporting its ongoing growth and expansion.
• Record all contact with service users and abide by confidentiality requirements.
• Record and monitor data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.
• Work closely with the services across FearFree, developing close working relationships and supporting people who may be accessing support from our other services.
