No one enjoys medical procedures, least of all children. From facing everyday vaccinations
to the most serious of surgeries and chronic conditions, all children experience varying
degrees of apprehension and fear. Feeling scared, powerless, or anxious in healthcare
settings doesn’t just trigger a child’s emotions; it can create traumas that impact treatment
success and that can have a life-long impact. Starlight’s aim is to transform children’s
health through better experiences, by putting play at the heart of every child’s healthcare.
Reporting to the Communications & Brand Manager, the Digital Content Creator will create
engaging, high-quality digital content that brings Starlight's work to life across social media,
the website and other digital channels.
The role will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to capture and tell stories
that demonstrate the impact of Starlight's work, amplify the voices of children, young
people and families, and support fundraising, campaigns, partnerships and organisational
communications.
The postholder will be responsible for planning, creating and publishing digital content
across multiple platforms, helping to build engagement with Starlight's audiences while
ensuring all content reflects the organisation's brand, values and strategic priorities.
Please apply for this role through Charity Job with your CV accompanied by a
supporting statement which demonstrates how your experience matches the person
specification and highlights your most relevant, recent experience for this role.
**Please include your portfolio, examples of, or links to your work**
In your application, we’d love to hear about what inspires you about Starlight’s purpose, beliefs and values with a statement that is very personal to you and gives us an insight into who you are, and how you would contribute to Starlight’s success with your experience, expertise and approach.

lead our organisation through its next stage of development.
We work alongside the vibrant and resourceful Gypsy and Traveller communities of York and the surrounding area. We challenge discrimination and inequality, increase opportunities and life chances, and build bridges that promote understanding and community cohesion.
As Chief Executive, you will provide strategic leadership and hold overall responsibility for YTT’s performance, financial sustainability, governance, safeguarding and organisational development.
Working closely with our Board, staff and community members, you will:
shape and deliver YTT’s strategic direction;
strengthen our financial sustainability and develop new income opportunities;
ensure our services remain effective, safe and responsive;
build influential relationships with communities, funders, partners and
policymakers;

genuinely shape our decisions.
We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a strong commitment to equality, social justice and community empowerment. You will have experience of leading in a charity, community organisation, public service or another values-led environment.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a trusted community organisation at an important point in its development. If you share our ambition for an inclusive, community-led and sustainable future, we would be delighted to hear from you.
The job description sets out the skills and experience we are looking for, but we know
that the right person may not tick every box. If you are passionate about our mission and bring significant relevant experience and the capacity to develop into the role, we would love to hear from you.
We are open to applications from people wishing to job share or looking for less than full-time hours; if this applies then let us know in your application.
Please send us:
• your CV; and
• a supporting statement of no more than two pages explaining your interest in the role and how your experience meets the person specification.

Our vision is a fair and effective immigration system that respects human rights and the rule of law. We realise this by empowering members to provide the best possible advice and support for migrants and collaboratively working to improve law, policy and practice.
ILPA is represented on numerous Government, official and non-Governmental advisory groups and regularly provides high-level evidence to Parliamentary and official enquiries. ILPA is at the forefront of engagement with the Home Office, NGOs and other Government departments.
To our members, ILPA is a community where they come to share knowledge, keep up to date with changes and receive high-quality training to enable them to practise effectively. Members also rely on ILPA to be their voice in seeking change for the better to immigration, asylum and nationality law and practice. This we do through the work of our expert legal team, engaging with policymakers and stakeholders, and drawing on the experiences and expertise of our members.
ILPA is an equal opportunities employer. We acknowledge that the legal and charitable sector can be less accessible to people from minoritised or racialised communities and lower socio-economic backgrounds, and we are committed to unsettling the status quo. In this role you will wear many hats and we recognise that the successful candidate may not have all the skills and experience listed in the personal specification. We welcome applications from you if you can see yourself in this role and have an appetite to gain new skills, knowledge and experience. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have lived experience of the UK immigration system
We also encourage applications from people who have previously unsuccessfully applied for roles at ILPA. We will consider each application afresh. We appreciate that individuals are always learning, growing, and adding to their knowledge and experience.
About the ILPA Team
You would be joining a small team, of around 12 team members. Under our current hybrid work policy, we have one anchor day (currently a Tuesday), in London, together with team members living in England and Scotland. On average, once every two months, there will be an online meeting in the evening that you will need to attend. As this is a two day a week role there is flexibility on what days are worked.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
