About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to help build income from corporate fundraising with an emphasis on securing long term and strategic partnerships.

Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for proactively generating significant income from five and six figure corporate partnerships by managing the new business pipeline, identifying new opportunities, building relationships and networking with key stakeholders and producing compelling applications and creative partnership proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity to build on previous experience and develop your skills in business development. Previous experience of securing high value, strategic partnerships in the third sector would be beneficial. The team has a proven track record in winning prestigious corporate partnerships which include: Macfarlanes LLP, Invesco, Knight Frank, Deutsche Bank, Nomura and high street names such as Kurt Geiger. Responsible for a third of the charity’s income the team are driven, highly motivated & results orientated.

• Knowledge of different corporate fundraising initiatives, including charity of the year, cause related marketing and strategic partnerships – you understand the components of a mutually beneficial and multi-faceted partnership, and have proven experience of prospect management and winning new business.
• You thrive working in a busy environment on multiple priorities simultaneously – results-oriented and a fast learner, you respond quickly to pressure and a changing environment.
• Confident use of MSOffice and experience of using a database – you have strong attention to detail, won’t miss a deadline and record accurate data using CRM systems.

As an interim Supervising Solicitor in Public Law, you will supervise and carry out CPAG’s public law legal aid cases, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will play an active role in managing CPAG’s legal practice and conduct high-profile public law litigation. 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

Purpose of Job 

To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.To empower and enable members living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England.

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We work alongside young people seeking safety in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support, and promoting young people’s rights and power.  

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people.  

About the Role  

The Human Resources Manager owns the planning and delivery of a progressive and proactive HR operations function. You will act as a key advisor to the CEO and leadership group in the management of HR related matters.

You will use sound judgement to balance reactive employee relations work with longer-term strategic priorities. You will manage a busy ER caseload, advising on performance, absence and sickness management and recruitment, as well as ensuring good HR administration throughout the employment life cycle. You will provide coaching to managers on all aspects of employee relations and meet regularly with them to develop a thorough understanding of their needs.

You will also be responsible for more strategic matters such as development of employment policies and our learning and development offer, at the same time as ensuring operational tasks such as maintenance of our HRIS, volunteer management and payroll administration are well-managed and compliant.

The Opportunity:   

The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) role will be well-suited to someone who is focused on the best ways they can help the aims of the charity as well as those of our participants and partners. An APPC is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.   
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.

Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery 

• Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events  
• Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity   
• Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles  

 2. Monitoring and Evaluation  

• Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner  
• Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
• Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
• Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication

4. Activity Delivery  

• Coordinate planning and delivery of skills sessions, partner events, university visits, and other activities, both virtually and in person across the Social Mobility Foundation’s target cities across the UK

Ways of working:

• Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.  
• This role requires you to attend staff residentials for students on our Programme. This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.

• Some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected.
