The organisation is a charity committed to improving social mobility in the UK. Their work is focused on improving social mobility through education opportunities. As the Philanthropy Manager you will predominantly manage the portfolio of Fellows giving at the being £15k, £5k, and £1k per year level, as well as relationships with donors giving much more. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for developing the alumni giving campaign and will spot opportunities for further cultivation and donor engagement throughout the philanthropy portfolio of the organisation. The Philanthropy Manager will be a true relationship management and will line manage a Philanthropy Assistant while reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, working closely too with the Director of Development.

To be successful as the Philanthropy Manager you will have experience of building and managing donor relationships with individuals giving four-figures and above per year in a philanthropy team or other fundraising capacity through structured giving schemes. You will have experience of working with key senior colleagues across and organisation to secure major gifts and steward relationships and will have good knowledge of the UK fundraising environment, including trends in philanthropy.

This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £42,025 to £48,000.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Church Buildings Team Leader to lead the Church Buildings team and play a key role in supporting parishes, clergy and diocesan governance structures in the care, repair and development of the Diocese’s significant church buildings estate.

About the Role

The Diocese is responsible for around 450 church buildings, of which 181 are Grade I listed, 93 are Grade II*, and 99 are Grade II. This is a portfolio of exceptional historic, architectural and community value, presenting both exciting opportunities and complex challenges.

Reporting to the Property Director, you will lead a skilled professional team and provide high-quality advice on church buildings, churchyards, faculty processes, and (subject to experience and training) mission and pastoral reorganisation. You will act as Secretary to the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC), working closely with clergy, PCCs, archdeacons, external advisers and diocesan colleagues.

The role will involve travel across the Diocese, with some evening and occasional weekend working (time off in lieu provided).

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Church Buildings team, including performance management and budgeting
• Support and advise the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches
• Provide expert guidance to parishes and clergy on the care, repair and improvement of church buildings and their contents
• Oversee faculty applications and permissions processes
• Build strong, constructive relationships with stakeholders across the Diocese and beyond

About You

You will bring substantial experience in the care or management of historic or ecclesiastical buildings, along with strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach.

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as heritage management, architecture, surveying or building conservation
• Strong understanding of heritage legislation, permissions frameworks and national policy relating to church buildings

The Corporate Partnerships and Events Manager will be an experienced partnership manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking along with experience in securing and stewarding strategic partnerships with corporates and their associated corporate foundations. This role will lead a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focused on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, the postholder will work on both new business and account management with ambitious individual income targets.

The selected candidate will have experience in securing, managing, and developing corporate partnerships at five-figures-plus level, from initial prospect research to contracting and ongoing stewardship. You will have experience securing and or managing corporate-charity partnerships, including engaging senior leadership. Ideally, the postholder will have experience planning and delivering events that provide high quality stewardship to donors and prospects with a clear project management approach.

Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life. 

The Senior Media and PR Officer will undertake communication projects to support all areas of the charity to raise awareness and understanding of Independent Age, to secure policy change to tackle poverty in later life, and to drive potential supporters to our activities. 

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

This role supports the charity’s media and PR programme, helping to secure positive coverage and strengthen its reputation through proactive and reactive communications. It will contribute to the organisation’s ambition by increasing awareness, influence, and engagement with key audiences across traditional and digital media channels. 

Working within the media communications team, the post-holder will lead on media planning and PR projects, identifying opportunities for both short-term campaigns (such as report launches) and longer-term storytelling by spotting future hooks and moments to promote key messages and calls to action. The role will also support wider team strategy development and contribute to a busy and responsive press office. 

You should have experience in media relations and press office activity, including drafting high-quality media materials such as press releases, statements, op-eds and thought leadership content. You will also need strong judgement to respond to enquiries, manage reputational issues in real time, build relationships with journalists and outlets across the UK nations, and monitor, evaluate and report on media coverage.

About the Role:

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.

Position Overview:

Key responsibilities:

Required  skills and qualifications:

• 7+  years experience in non-profit organisational development and programs and / or philanthropy strategy and grant-making.

About the role:

You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.

These roles are based in our Victim Care Unit in Ashford. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm or 12pm and 8pm. Shifts are designated on a rota basis and scheduled well in advance so you can plan ahead. The Role

SV 2 is a registered charity supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault across Derby City and Derbyshire. We deliver specialist support, education and prevention services, including ISVA and ChISVA services and a BACP‑accredited therapy service.

We are looking to expand our pool of experienced, trauma‑informed Clinical Supervisors to provide reflective, supportive and ethically focused supervision to staff working across our services. This supervision plays a vital role in promoting safe practice, practitioner wellbeing, professional development and robust safeguarding and ethical decision‑making. 

You may undertake monthly clinical supervision to one or more of the following areas; 

• ChISVA & SPOA staff (group + quarterly individual supervision)

• ISVA teams (monthly group supervision across North and South Derbyshire + quarterly individual supervision

Supervision must be trauma‑informed and reflective, aligned with the BACP Ethical Framework (or equivalent), and attentive to risk, safeguarding, vicarious trauma and burnout.
