This is a critical, high impact, supporter-facing role within our fundraising team helping to plan and deliver our Events and Community programme. The role is responsible for engaging and growing a community of committed supporters with the goal of growing income across our varied Events portfolio of third-party and DIY challenges, whilst also supporting the team manager across our Community and Virtual challenge programmes.

Role:   Senior Events and Community Fundraising Officer 

Reports to:Events and Community Fundraising Manager

Scope of the role

You will manage and successfully deliver key events including the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon, as well as third party and DIY challenge fundraising. You’ll lead on supporter recruitment and stewardship to meet or exceed agreed targets, while keeping budgets, income and performance on track, as well as maintaining accurate supporter data. You’ll also support on the delivery of Community and Virtual challenge fundraising, including our flagship challenge, Walk in Her Name. 

1)Support planning and delivery of the Events programme

i) Support recruitment, engagement and retention across our event portfolio including London Marathon, Great North Run, London Landmarks as well as third party and DIY challenges to meet or exceed agreed income and engagement targets, while keeping budgets, income and performance on track. 

ii) Responsible for the OCA London Marathon team from sign-up to post-race including delivery of training and fundraising support, on the day cheer point and post-race celebration activities.

iii) Attend events as required. 

iv) Support the team Manager to plan and deliver virtual challenges, including our flagship event, Walk in Her Name and Walk 100, working collaboratively across the team to maximise supporter experience and campaign performance. 

2) Manage delivery of Community Fundraising

i) Manage delivery of community fundraising and engagement

ii) Support the team manager to explore and identify new opportunities for growth.

3) Provide excellent supporter care across the events and community portfolio

i) Deliver excellent supporter care across Events and Community fundraising, ensuring every supporter receives timely, helpful and inspiring communications throughout their fundraising journey

ii) Monitor event performance and supporter feedback, sharing and deploying insight to improve stewardship journeys, recruitment activity and future planning 

iii) Work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications, Finance and Database teams to deliver integrated, supporter-led activity.

4) Provide excellent administrative support

i) Manage and track event budgets, income and expenditure, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting and post-campaign evaluation.

ii) Maintain accurate supporter and financial records across Raiser’s Edge and fundraising platforms, including data coding, income coding and administrative processes to support excellent supporter care

iii) Ensure all events and fundraising activity is delivered in line with Ovarian Cancer Action’s processes, fundraising best practice, GDPR requirements and relevant legislation.

What experience we're looking for

• Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering a successful events portfolio, challenge events and / or community fundraising activity.
• Understanding of recruiting supporters to events across organic and paid channels.
• Track record of providing excellent supporter care - motivating supporters to achieve agreed goals
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow agreed processes.
• Familiar with using a CRM database - ideally Raiser’s Edge.
• Experience of tracking and reporting against budgets and targets.
• A working knowledge of fundraising platforms, online giving pages or event registration systems.

Skills And Attributes:

• Confident relationship builder with strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with supporters.
• Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, and able to manage multiple activities and deadlines.

Additional details

Salary: Between £32,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract type: This is a fixed term contract of 12 months.

Supporter Relationship Manager

Contract type: Permanent, Full Time – 35 hours per week

While based in the Legacy and In Memory Team, the role will work with teams across the Mass Engagement Department, including Supporter Marketing and Community, Events and Education. The department is responsible for engaging and growing income and support from a range of audiences including legacy supporters, high value givers and volunteers.

About the role

As our Supporter Relationship Manager, you will create meaningful moments of connection for key supporters to deepen their commitment and work closely with key teams across the Mass Engagement Department to drive excellence in supporter experience and long-term income growth.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver exceptional personalised stewardship and build trusted relationships with key high-value supporters including legacy and mid-value supporters
• Develop and deliver a key supporter experience strategy, including in person and online thank you events and connection moments.
• Collaborate across teams to embed legacy giving conversations and create opportunities for blended giving conversations on lifetime and legacy giving.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience of building and managing meaningful relationships with supporters or customers in a fundraising or relationship management setting

Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Youth Activities and Enrichment Coordinator to join our award-winning Bright Futures Children and Young People's Programme.

In this rewarding role, you will plan and coordinate engaging and inclusive educational, recreational and enrichment activities that help refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people build confidence, develop skills, improve wellbeing and feel connected to their local community.

Location: We have offices in Kingston Upon Thames, greater London.

Hours: 14 hours per week – 2 days a week* (including paid half-hour lunch break).

Salary:  £12,740 (FTE £31,850) for 2 years.

Leave: 26 days per annum Pro Rata plus bank holidays.

Starting Date October 2026.

Responsible to Head of Services/Family Support and Supplementary School Manager.

*The peak activity periods for this role happen during school half-terms, which means extra hours will be required during these times. In return, we offer full flexibility with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL), allowing you to reclaim your time outside of busy half-term periods. Afterschool club is currently on Wednesdays and you will be expected to attend in person until 6pm. 

Purpose of the Role

The Youth Activities and Enrichment Coordinator will play a key role in planning, coordinating, delivering and monitoring educational, recreational and enrichment activities as part of our award-winning Bright Futures Children’s and Young People’s Programme. Working closely with the Head of Services/Family Support and Supplementary School Manager, Primary Teacher, external partners and volunteers, the post holder will ensure the provision of engaging, inclusive and memorable opportunities. In addition, they will support the delivery of RAK Bright Futures After School Club and Supplementary School and contribute to education-related casework for children and young people and monitoring and evaluation of all above activity.

Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) is a well-established charity dedicated to supporting refugees and people seeking asylum from anywhere in the world who find themselves in the Royal Borough of Kingston and neighbouring boroughs. Key Responsibilities

• Research, plan and coordinate holiday activities, trips and workshops that promote learning, wellbeing, community engagement and social inclusion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with activity providers, venues, schools, community organisations, cultural institutions and other partners to secure and coordinate activities, trips and enrichment opportunities.
• Manage invitations and registrations. Communicate with families regarding activities, permissions, travel arrangements and other relevant information.

• Take photos and prepare short commentary for social media whilst prioritising online safety of children and young people and ensuring all necessary permissions are in place.
• Deal sensitively with children, young people and families, identifying needs and making referrals to appropriate RAK services, external organisations and community opportunities. 
• Keep up to date with local community activities and services and ensure youth activities notice boards are regularly updated.
• Promote the welfare and safety of children and young people at all times.

Amna is currently undertaking a broader organisational strengthening exercise focused on improving operational resilience, financial sustainability, governance, compliance, and readiness for future growth. This consultancy forms part of that wider organisational development agenda and will inform future decisions on systems, processes, structures and investment priorities. 

2. Objective 

Amna's finance function is now fully resourced, creating the right moment to review and strengthen the organisation's financial systems and processes. This consultancy is commissioned to establish the added value of a review of Amna's finance ecosystem, and to identify practical, costed solutions to support the organisation's next stage of growth. 

The objective of this consultancy is to support Amna in diagnosing its current financial ecosystem, whether its financial systems, processes, controls, reporting structures, governance arrangements and operating model are fit for purpose for its current and anticipated scale. Based on this diagnosis and mapping out relevant, costed solutions for a future finance system upgrade and/or procurement,linking Amna's core business activities and income-generating activities with donor compliance requirements and UK charity compliance obligations and strengthen organisational decision-making, grant management, forecasting and organisational sustainability over the next 3–5 years. 

2. Scope of Work 

The consultancy should not assume that technology is the preferred solution. Recommendations should distinguish between issues that can be addressed through changes in processes, governance, roles and responsibilities, staff capacity or systems, and should prioritise solutions according to value for money, organisational readiness and expected impact 

Diagnosis (Consultant-led) 

• SWOT-style analysis across Finance, SLT, and Programmes 

• Assess organisational reliance on manual processes and identify key operational bottlenecks and map where time, confidence, or control is being lost 

• Review alignment and map data flows across Finance, Programmes, Development, MEL, HR, and Operations. 

• Review how financial information supports and distinguish decision-support needs from compliance/control requirements at management, SLT and board levels. 

• Finalise objectives, success indicators, and non-negotiables for procurement 

Solutions Mapping (Consultant-led) 

• Recommend an appropriate future-state finance operating model based on different organisational growth scenarios including roadmap and costing model for finance system upgrade. Identify opportunities for automation, integration and systemisation across finance, procurement, grant management and reporting processes. 

• 3-year Financial Systems Improvement Roadmap, aligned with the Operations Systems Roadmap and assess resource implications (people, systems, skills and governance) of each proposed solution. Where relevant, this should address visibility into specific finance workflows such as grants tracking/pipeline and contract management for outsourced finance services. 

• Risk matrix and pros/cons per proposed solution and recommend governance and control improvements required to support future growth. 

• Prioritisation against agreed criteria (relevance, cost, efficiency, effectiveness) as a timeline-bound plan 

• Provide revised Organizational wide financial health KPIs for the next 3–5 years, with calculations, methods of measurement and reporting frequency.

•  Propose practical, light-touch recommendations to reduce friction in procurement-related steps that touch finance (e.g. purchase requests, approvals) proportionate to effort and scoped as an input to the finance ecosystem, not a full procurement redesign 

 Present distinct solution categories (e.g. low/moderate/significant investment options), each with an indicative cost range, so Amna can decide what fits best. To be finalised only once diagnosis is complete. 

 3. Deliverables

• Finance ecosystem maturity assessment including (strengths, weaknesses, critical gaps/bottlenecks, benchmark against comparable organizations). A diagnostic report validating and finalising the objectives, success indicators, and non-negotiables (Max 15 pages) . 

• A data flow map across Finance, Programmes, Development, MEL, HR, and Operations. 

• A 3-year Financial Systems Improvement Roadmap, including future state operating model options (i.e maintain current scale, moderate growth, significant growth) and suggest required resources/systems/risks/costs per scenario.

Scenario-based, costed solution options, each with a pros/cons analysis. 

• Identify where technology or automation can simplify existing finance processes and reduce manual effort. 

• Proposed finance KPIs for the next 3–5 years, with supporting calculations. 

• A final report and presentation to the Senior Leadership Team and Board (via the Treasurer). 

4. Roles and Responsibilities 

• Operations, Risks and Security Director: Overall accountability for the consultancy, sign-off on deliverables, and escalation to SLT/Board. 

• Head of Finance, Risk & Compliance: Owns the finance/compliance stream and is the consultant's main technical counterpart, reviewing and approving draft deliverables before they reach the Director of Operations. 

• Finance Manager: Provides operational implementation support, including access to data, documentation, and day-to-day coordination with the consultant. 

The consultant is expected to engage with representatives from other departments programmes, MEL, fundraising and Organisation development, leadership and the board members mainly treasurer as required.  

5. Payment Terms 

Payment will be linked to the completion and sign-off of agreed deliverables (Diagnostic report., Draft options paper, Final roadmap and presentation)/milestones rather than paid as a single lump sum. The exact fee structure, total budget, currency, and payment schedule will be confirmed with the appointed consultant and set out in the resulting contract. 

6. Contract length

The contract shall be effective from September 2026 and shall continue until delivery of the final report and presentation, expected in October–November 2026, unless terminated or extended earlier by mutual written agreement of both parties. 

7. Quality Assurance 

• All draft deliverables will be reviewed by the Head of Finance, Risk  & Compliance prior to circulation. 

• Final sign-off rests with the Director of Operations, following consultation with the Senior Leadership Team and Board (via the Treasurer). 

• Regular check-in meetings will be held between the consultant and the finance/compliance stream led to track progress against the agreed timeline and deliverables. 

• Any material changes to scope, timeline, or approach must be agreed in writing before proceeding. 

Draft outputs should be tested with key users and stakeholders to ensure recommendations are practical, proportionate and implementable within Amna's operating environment 

8. Confidentiality and Data Protection 

• The consultant will have access to sensitive financial, operational, and organisational information and must treat all such information as strictly confidential, both during and after the assignment. 

• The consultant must comply with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) in handling any personal or organisational data shared for the purposes of this consultancy. 

• Data and documents shared for the assignment remain the property of Amna and must be securely stored, not shared with third parties, and deleted or returned at the end of the assignment unless otherwise agreed.

• A confidentiality/non-disclosure clause will be included in the contract with the appointed consultant 

9. Contact and Communication 

The main point of contact for this consultancy is the Head of Finance, Risk & Compliance, with escalation to the Operations, risks and Security Director as required. Regular progress updates will be agreed with the consultant at the start of the assignment 

10. Proposal Submission Requirements 

• A brief technical proposal outlining understanding of the assignment and proposed methodology (clearly distinguish between process issues, governance issues, people issues and system issues). 

• A proposed workplan and timeline, aligned with the kick-off and deliverable dates set out in this ToR. 

• CV of the consultant who would deliver the assignment, demonstrating experience supporting charities, INGOs or grant-funded organisations operating internationally preferably experience with UK charity finance, donor compliance, VAT considerations, grant management and multi-country operations. 

• A cost proposal, clearly breaking down by phase/deliverable/VAT/Admin including day rate(s) and an all-inclusive total cost for the assignment.

The role will require travel throughout the UK to maximise engagement opportunities with supporters and income generation. As well as quarterly team meetings and other opportunities to network with Myeloma UK colleagues.

You will have experience of working with support groups and/or volunteer networks as well as recruiting, training, managing and supervising a diverse range of staff or volunteers.  The post holder will need to show clear evidence of relationship building and working with underrepresented groups.  A key part of the role is understanding the needs of cancer patients and their families and of health inequalities.

You’ll have excellent relationship building skills and an understanding of the barriers that exist in accessing support. You will need the ability to set priorities, work under pressure with great attention to detail and understand and meet the training and development needs of volunteers. Experience of working with haematology or oncology patients and working with a database would be an advantage but not essential.

About the role

The Support Group Co-ordinator will be the first point of contact within the organisation for all Support Group enquiries. You will coordinate the Support Groups Partnership Programme activity, including developing and promotion of the existing Myeloma Support Groups and coordinate the recruitment, induction and ongoing support of new local groups to the Support Groups Partnership Programme

You will be responsible for working with local groups and other local network partners to increase the reach and impact of Myeloma UK, ensuring that partnered support groups operate in line with Myeloma UK guidelines and ensure that they receive consistent information, training and advice.

The post holder will maintain an awareness and understanding of all legislation that may be relevant to the role and develop, maintain and evaluate a training programme for Support Group Leaders as well as moderate and update the Support Group Leaders’ online hub on a regular basis.  You will lead the Support Groups’ responsibility for designing and delivering activities in line with our Partnership Agreement so that they are safe, effective and impactful as well as moderate.

As a Senior Relationship Manager you will:

• Manage complex Donor Advised Fund and Collective Fund clients with a strong focus on client service.
• Handle financial administration, including bookkeeping, reconciliation, and payments.

• Liaise effectively with clients, intermediaries, and third party providers.
• Support process improvements, team development, and external communications.
• Represent the organisation at events and networking opportunities.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Significant experience in grant making and compliance within the charity sector.
• Proven track record in relationship management, ideally with HNW/UHNW clients.
• Exceptional communication and client stewardship skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable handling sensitive data.
• Proactive, solution oriented, and able to thrive in a fast moving environment.

Sabre Education is an international NGO which, since 2004, has been providing children in Ghana with the best possible early childhood education by partnering with government to implement play-based learning at scale. Sabre focuses on:

Influencing early childhood education (ECE) policy & practice.
Training teachers and school officials in quality early childhood education.
Transforming learning environments to facilitate positive play-based learning.
Sabre has directly trained more than 6,000 teachers and over 700 Ghana Education Service officials, transforming the early years education of more than 361,000 children through high-quality play-based learning. Our teacher training model has been successfully piloted and replicated across 17 districts in Ghana, with partners extending its reach to a further 48 districts.

Building on this success, the Ghana Government is now scaling play-based learning to every public kindergarten in the country, with Sabre as a technical assistance partner, training around 29,000 teachers and reaching an estimated 1.2 million children each year.

Sabre’s new 2026–2029 strategy builds on these achievements by expanding its impact to other countries across sub-Saharan Africa, sharing Ghana’s experience of successfully scaling play-based learning nationwide. Alongside this expansion, Sabre will continue its work in Ghana, implementing a bold early childhood education system-strengthening strategy in close partnership with the government and wider sector stakeholders.

About the role

This is a senior strategic position within the organisation, sitting on the senior leadership team, reporting to the CEO and working closely with colleagues across the UK and Ghana.

As the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will lead on strengthening and building relationships with Sabre’s growing portfolio of key funders, including trusts, foundations, institutional and corporate donors. Working with leadership and the team, you will also deepen the charity’s profile, reputation and brand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Nurture excellent relationships with Sabre’s current donor community.
• Work with the fundraising team proactively to attract, cultivate, secure and steward grant funders.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify, cultivate and secure new institutional multi-year grants.
• Work closely with the CEO and SLT to develop other income streams when strategically beneficial.
• Provide strategic leadership for all of Sabre’s communications, profile-building and marketing agendas.
• Lead, develop and manage the fundraising and communications team of four.
• Contribute to the organisation’s overall strategic mission as a member of the SLT.

Who we are looking for

This is a leadership role for someone with a proven track record as a senior fundraiser with considerable experience in trusts, foundations and institutional funding and team management. Crucially, you will be passionate about our work in early years education and motivated by the opportunity to shape our fundraising and communications work.

• Experience developing and implementing a growth fundraising strategy.
• Strong experience writing technical proposals.
