Context and Background

The NSPCC’s purpose is to prevent the abuse and neglect of children across the UK.

The Strategy and Knowledge (S&K) Directorate exists to help shape the world around us - and what the NSPCC does - so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse.

The Directorate is responsible for organisational strategy, developing and influencing public policy, championing an evidence-based approach in all our work, developing innovative services and managing our knowledge and information.

This role within our Policy and Public Affairs team will assist in delivering our influencing campaigns asking for public support to persuade government to change laws and policies to better protect children and young people. This exciting role will play a pivotal part supporting the team’s work so we are able to deliver large-scale, impactful campaigns in support of the NSPCC’s policy priorities and our organisational strategy.

Job purpose

This role will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of the NSPCC’s campaigns to mobilise the public behind our influencing goals and galvanise decision makers to act. The postholder will:

• Support the development of our influencing campaigns to inspire new and existing supporters to take action to keep children safe - including through research to inform the planning of campaigns and the creation and dissemination of impactful communications such as emails, social posts and supporter actions.

• Assist the Influencing Campaigns team to manage and develop the campaigns database so it can grow to build a strong, active network of supporters helping us influence change.

• Support the team’s work to ensure the insights and voices of children, young people and those with lived experience are embedded in the design and delivery of our influencing campaigns

Main duties and responsibilities

Supporting the Influencing Campaigns team day-to-day

o Managing the campaigns inbox and responding to supporters
o Assisting the Influencing Campaigns team by attending meetings with stakeholders (across the NSPCC and beyond)
o Monitoring and evaluating campaigns activity at NSPCC
o Tracking and evaluating campaigns “best practice” in other organisations (to enable competitor analysis)

Job description

The Communications team currently includes four people who work across the full breadth of Opportunity Green’s work, making sure our messages are communicated clearly to the right audiences at the right time. We are now looking for a Digital and SEO Manager to develop and deliver Opportunity Green’s digital and SEO strategy, ensuring our online presence effectively reaches, engages and inspires audiences.

What’s the role? 

The Digital and SEO Manager will report to Opportunity Green’s Communications Director. By harnessing data-driven insights and optimising our digital platforms, the Digital and SEO Manager will strengthen our communications impact and support the organisation’s mission to fill the gaps that others miss on climate change. You will also support the Comms Director in managing the communications team and their team projects, including direct line management of a multimedia-focused team member.

This is a new role to OG and it comes at an exciting time, when we are about to launch our new website. You will play a pivotal part in helping our website content reach the right audiences, monitoring its performance and developing it even further. 

Our Communications team supports all the workstreams and projects at Opportunity Green, spanning aviation, shipping, steel, agriculture, strategic litigation, climate justice, company coalitions, external partnerships and The SASHA Coalition, which is facilitated by OG and has a separate online presence. You will therefore need to be a great collaborator who is used to multitasking, a quick thinker and able to respond to situations as they arise. As the only employee dedicated to digital, you will be a strategic thinker who can shape our approach to emerging digital trends, while also being comfortable implementing the ideas you develop.

About the candidate 

We are looking for a candidate with: 

• A passion for using their digital skills and SEO knowledge to tackle climate change.

• Proven expertise in digital analysis and insights, with a strong track record of producing data-driven reports and actionable recommendations across a range of platforms. 

• Demonstrated experience in SEO account management and web development project management. 

Desirable skills and experience: 

We do not expect any candidate to have all skills listed below but rather we look for transferable skills and potential as well as past experience. 

• Genuine passion for using digital skills to tackle climate change and commitment to Opportunity Green's mission and values.

• Advanced knowledge of digital performance tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Power BI, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and Mailchimp. 

• Experience of running ad campaigns in Google Ads. 

• Hands-on familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS platforms including Wordpress and SquareSpace, and ability to integrate new features and functionality. 

• Strategic and analytical thinker who is a natural problem solver. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Demonstrated experience of line management.

The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of £50,000 plus 10% employer-contributed pension. Please note that Opportunity Green has fixed salary scales, with the possibility of step increases with strong performance. We're now looking for an experienced Centre Operations Manager to play a key senior role in ensuring our busy community hub runs safely, smoothly and effectively for the thousands of people who use it each year.

About Abbey Community Centre

Abbey Community Centre works with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on older residents and low-income families with young children. We deliver a wide range of activities, services and support including children’s stay-and-play sessions and drop-ins, fitness and wellbeing activities, befriending schemes, digital inclusion support, community meals, warm space provision, food support, volunteering opportunities and specialist outreach.

Alongside this community delivery, we manage a busy public building and a programme of room hire that helps generate income to sustain our work. With a small staff team, over 100 volunteers and many partner organisations, our operations need to be reliable, well-coordinated and people-centred.

The role and its impact

As Centre Operations Manager, you will be the organisation’s senior operational lead on the ground. Working closely with the CEO, you will hold delegated authority for the day-to-day running of the Centre — ensuring the building, people and systems all work together to support high-quality community activity.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining practical problem-solving with people management. You will line manage and help develop operational staff, oversee facilities and contractors, lead on health and safety and operational compliance, support volunteering, and ensure organisational systems and processes function reliably.

This is a rewarding and varied part-time role at the heart of a national organisation working to improve life for the one in six people in England affected by a neurological condition.

As Administration and Membership Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Neurological Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will support strong governance, effective membership engagement and well-run meetings and events, helping to ensure that lived experience, evidence and collective expertise shape health and care policy.

This is a practical, admin-led role with real responsibility and autonomy. You will manage day-to-day administration, support the Board and members, maintain accurate records and systems, and ensure financial and membership processes run effectively. In doing so, you will help amplify the voices of people affected by neurological conditions and our member organisations.

This role would suit someone looking for a meaningful, flexible part-time position where their work directly supports collaboration, influence and change. The role is home-based, with occasional travel for team meetings (around once every two months) and infrequent external meetings.

You will be an experienced administrator who is highly organised, reliable and detail-focused, and who enjoys keeping things running well behind the scenes.

You will be comfortable working independently, juggling multiple tasks, and supporting colleagues, trustees and members. You’ll be confident using IT systems and databases, open to learning new digital tools, and interested in improving administrative processes over time.

We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Compliance Officer to support our apprenticeship provision on a part-time basis (7.5 - 15 hours per week)

The role will suit someone with strong experience in apprenticeship funding rules, data entry, and the use of apprenticeship and management information systems to make accurate funding claims. You will be the go-to person for compliance, working closely with Paddington Academy and United Teaching to build on the processes we already have in place. About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Compliance Officer with excellent communications skills and a sound knowledge of the apprenticeship funding rules.  You’ll need strong IT skills and have experience working across a range of software packages such as Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. You will also excel with organisational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

Essential:

· Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (GCSE, A Level, or Functional Skills L2).

· A sound knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), funding regulations and audit requirements for further education.
