We have a great opportunity to join our vibrant charity as part of our Workplace (Facilities) team.

As a key ‘go to’ member of the team, you’ll play an important role in the smooth running of our London Bridge office, helping to keep everything safe, compliant and running efficiently day to day. This is an office-based role, reflecting the hands-on nature of the work.

This is a varied and busy role, covering a mix of facilities coordination and health and safety support. You’ll assist with completing checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our systems and processes run smoothly. You’ll also work closely with contractors, manage the ordering of supplies, arrange work-from-home equipment, and raise purchase orders. With support from the Workplace Health and Safety Manager, you’ll help manage the office security system.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in wider projects, including supporting the People Experience team with new starter inductions and working with the Communications team on office events.

Alongside this, you’ll use your strong organisational and administrative skills to support record keeping, reporting, insight gathering and logistical planning. Everything you do will contribute to making us a great place to work – wherever our people are based.

How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

Role Purpose: 

The Helpline Advisor will be the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents of anti-Muslim hate. The role requires delivering empathetic, confidential, and high-quality support to callers, as well as accurately recording reports and ensuring all relevant procedures are followed. 

Helpline Advisors will support service users via multiple channels—phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, online chat and web form, by listening actively, offering appropriate information, and making referrals to specialist services where required. They will work closely with the Helpline Supervisor and participate in debriefs and reflective practice after each shift or reported incident. 

Advisors will also play an important role in ensuring accurate data capture, safeguarding procedures, and upholding the values of compassion, non-judgement, and confidentiality. 

Role Responsibilities:  

• Answer incoming calls from victims of hate crime with empathy and professionalism. 
    

• Provide support to service users using a variety of methods, including telephone, email, SMS, online chat, online forms, and other written reports. 
    

• Provide clear, appropriate advice, support, and information to service users, using a non-judgemental and person-centred approach. 
    

• Keep accurate, detailed electronic records of each contact, including advice given, support offered, and agreed referrals. 
    

• Understand when it is necessary to seek support from more experienced colleagues or external agencies and take appropriate action. 
    

• Make referrals to other agencies when necessary, including child and adult protection concerns, on the advice of senior staff. 
    

• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with data protection and safeguarding policies. 
    

• Engage sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be distressed, traumatised, or in crisis (trauma-informed approach)

The Role

This role supports the work of Nesta’s A Fairer Start mission. You will work closely with the Programme Manager, as well as the Mission Director, Deputy Directors and Project Leads to support the day to day running of the Mission and its projects, and to help the team function effectively.

Alongside your core duties, you will have the opportunity to support the mission more

broadly, either through supporting overall delivery of projects, and/or through working as a mission representative for critical organisational priorities such as Nesta’s commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

This role is also a part of Nesta’s community of Programme and Project Managers who work together to design and manage Nesta's processes and ways of working around how we plan, deliver and manage our programmes and projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with the Programme Manager to oversee and track project delivery and key milestones, both narrative and financial, to ensure we are accurately delivering against project schedules
• Supporting the Mission Leadership Team to balance and sequence the Mission’s projects and team’s resources, taking advantage of dependencies where possible, to optimise delivery

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security and Safeguarding will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid’s Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas
offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

The potholder will be the custodian of a safe culture, ensuring that it aligns with the global culture programme and overall people strategy, and will be the organisation's safeguarding and security ambassador and expert, acting both internally and externally as a thought leader, challenging appropriately and bringing external expertise to Christian Aid.

• Advanced knowledge of global safeguarding frameworks, including protection of vulnerable groups, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and child safeguarding and how they apply in humanitarian contexts.

Reporting in to the Head of Policy and Influencing, the UK Influencing Lead provides strategic leadership and oversight of all the UK advocacy work and the advocacy unit, aligning with organisational values and goals, to ensure advocacy achieves maximum impact.

CoramBAAF’s membership is central to the organisation’s aims and activities.
