The service provides support across the whole geography of Avon & Somerset. This role involves making initial contact with victims of domestic abuse and other crimes, providing support in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The role is full-time and is hybrid between Bridewell Police Station in central Bristol and home working. A suitable and confidential workspace at home is therefore required. Whilst in training and awaiting police vetting the successful candidate will be required to work their office days at the Vassall Centre (Fishponds, Bristol). There will also be a requirement to occasionally work from the Vassall Centre once vetting has cleared.

About the Role

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic abuse and other crimes, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also contribute to providing cover for the local VS Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively managing a caseload of service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims. Undertake initial proactive contact with victims, explaining VS services and promoting the benefits of accessing support.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions. This will be delivered face to face, via telephone, video-chat, text and/or email based on the preferences of the client.
• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.

• Identify barriers to individuals accessing our services and determine solutions. Work with multi-agency partners to which victims can be referred for ongoing and specialist support such as housing, social services and health provision.

• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, complying with data protection and all other legislation connected to your work.

The Southmead Project is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraiser to support the charity’s long-term financial sustainability.

The postholder will identify, research and secure funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources. They will lead on developing high-quality, persuasive funding applications and reports that clearly communicate the impact of the Southmead Project’s work and the needs of the people it supports.

Working closely with the CEO, Head of Finance and trustees, the Fundraiser will develop and deliver an annual fundraising plan, maintain a strong funding pipeline, and support the organisation to diversify its income. The role will require excellent writing, research, relationship-building and organisational skills, alongside a strong commitment to the charity’s values and mission.

• Develop an annual fundraising plan, alongside the Head of Finance and CEO.

• Carry out ongoing prospect research to identify new sources of funding from trusts, foundations, charitable bodies, statutory funders and other appropriate sources.

• Maintain a fundraising pipeline, ensuring that opportunities, deadlines, applications and reporting requirements are monitored effectively.

• Build and maintain a database of prospective and current funders, including key contacts, deadlines, funding priorities and application requirements.

• Monitor relevant local, regional and national funding opportunities, including being a sponsored charity at community events.

• Produce funding applications for trusts, charities, foundations and statutory bodies as an ongoing part of the charity’s income generation.

• Analyse data and feedback collected through outcomes processes for report writing.

Therapeutic Management

• To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

As Finance Officer, you will:

• Provide independent assurance of correct grant usage within six months after the end of the financial year, helping to identify and address any issues proactively.

• Report any significant compliance concerns to the Operations Director and contribute to improving financial processes where needed.

  Role Overview

The Governance Administration Officer will be an integral member of the Trust’s Governance and Administration Team, supporting the Governance & Compliance Manager to ensure the effective and efficient administration of governance and compliance activities of the Trust as well as providing administration support to the wider team alongside other administration staff.

Primary Responsibilities

 Governance

1. Provide administrative support to enable effective management of The Road Safety Trust’s Governance and Compliance activities.

2. Support co-ordination of RST Board and Committees. This may include timely preparing meeting packs, taking minutes, following up actions and organising logistics for virtual and physical meetings.

3. Maintain accurate Governance and Compliance registers e.g. conflicts of interest, skills matrices, Terms of Office records and end of year governance documents, ensuring accuracy and validity of information.

4. To ensure documentation in relation to RST Trustees is maintained appropriately.

5. Support Trustee recruitment and induction, coordinate Trustee training, and regulatory reporting.

6. Co-ordinate and monitor Policies and Procedures reviews and maintain the Policies register.

7. Provide support for the internal audit programme, coordinating audit meetings, compiling  documentation and assisting with actions and reports.

8. Support risk management information, including risk registers other compliance activities.

9. Provide support for Board and Committee reports and dashboards to demonstrate progress against key actions and service delivery at RST.

10. Support the preparation of the annual report and organisation of the AGM.

Administration

11. Use Microsoft Office, HR, Finance Systems to ensure RST policies and processes are adhered to.

12. Ensure the provision of information in the relevant sections of SharePoint for easy access by staff as required.

13. Contribute to the organisation of events, workshops and conferences as required.

14. To support the finance function of the Trust as appropriate.

15. Identify and contribute to improvement of processes and procedures. 

16. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and data protection legislation, ensuring safe storage and responsible sharing of data.

17. Support with cover for the rest of the administration team as required.

18. Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the role.

As our reputation and client base continue to grow, we’re seeking a Social Media Operations Officer to support the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of our Social Media Moderation service.

Role overview

This role will play a vital part in ensuring our charity partners receive a high-quality, insight-led service while providing additional support to our team of moderators and Team Leaders.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Social Media Moderation Manager and wider leadership team to support operational delivery, reporting, onboarding, quality assurance, and administrative processes across our portfolio of charity accounts.

The role would suit an organised, proactive individual with strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting charities and online communities.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and insights

• Produce weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and campaign reports for charity partners.

• Collect and analyse moderation data across accounts, including response rates, hidden content, escalations and key themes.

• Gather standout comments, community feedback and examples of positive engagement for inclusion within reports.

• Support the development of benchmarking documents and trend analysis across accounts.

• Prepare meeting notes and action logs following account meetings.

Moderator support

• Assist with onboarding new moderators, including arranging inductions and sharing key documentation.

• Support the creation and maintenance of moderator handbooks and guidance documents.

• Identify recurring learning themes and help coordinate quality assurance and development activity.

• Work alongside Team Leaders to ensure they - and moderators - have the information and resources needed to deliver excellent moderation.

Account administration

• Support the onboarding of new charity partners, including helping to create and maintain moderation packs.

• Keep account guidance documents, FAQs, escalation processes, and key contact information up to date.

• Assist with meeting preparation, minute-taking and action tracking.

• Ownership of rota administration and maintain awareness of moderator availability.

• Coordinate internal documentation and process improvements.

Service development

• Contribute ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Social Media Moderation service.

• Support the creation of internal resources, templates and standard operating procedures.

• Assist with projects aimed at enhancing moderator wellbeing, training, and development.

• Shadow account management activities with opportunities for future progression within the agency.

• You're a qualified psychotherapist or counsellor with a humanistic and/or integrative training, registered or accredited with a professional body (e.g. UKCP, BACP)
• You care about supporting refugees and people seeking asylum, and can commit to at least two years with us
• For supervisor roles: you also have additional training in supervision and experience working directly with this client group

Hours: Minimum 2-3 hours per week, arranged directly with your clients

About the role

As Digital Marketer, you'll play a key role in creating and delivering engaging marketing content across Life Cycle’s digital channels, including social media, email, website and digital advertising platforms. Working closely with the Marketing Lead, you will help turn campaign plans into clear, creative and effective content that grows awareness, increases participation and supports fundraising objectives.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality digital content, including social media posts, graphics, short-form video, email copy, digital flyers and website content.
