About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-regarded and innovative project contributing to achieving positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable families in England and beyond whose sick children are being treated at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH) We also provide an ‘open door’ service to our GOSH partners such as social workers and family support officers in our areas of expertise.
You will be expected to deliver high quality holistic advice and in-depth casework to families with children who are patients at GOSH across all Citizens Advice issue areas and this will include complex housing issues and with benefits cases up to appeal level.

Our practical online sessions help older people use smartphones, WhatsApp, video calling, online services, AI and other everyday technology with greater confidence and independence.
We now want to expand our reach by working with organisations such as:

You will identify suitable organisations, open conversations with decision-makers and develop relationships that lead to annual Tech Club partnerships.
Our anticipated organisational partnership is worth approximately £10,000 per year, giving the right person the opportunity to earn substantial commission from each successful agreement.

The Role
As Wellbeing Services Manager, you will provide day-to-day support to a growing team of independent, contracted counsellors. Working closely with the Wellbeing Director, you will contribute to governance, protocol development, administrative coordination, and quality assurance across the service.
This is a role for someone who combines experience in therapeutic pathways and counselling governance and processes, with the leadership skills and technological confidence needed to thrive in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Counselling practice
Act as the primary internal escalation point for risk and safeguarding.
Triage high-risk and complex cases and refer them to the counsellor best placed to support the client.
Apply trauma-informed, gender-affirming approaches across all areas of practice.
Team support & development
Provide day-to-day management and operational oversight of the counselling team, ensuring consistent standards of service delivery across the caseload.
Coordinate admin support for counsellors.
Coordinate scheduling and mentoring support for counsellors.
Contribute to the onboarding and initial suitability review of new counsellors joining the Anne Health register.
Support the Wellbeing Director in building a high-performing, resilient service culture.
Governance & quality
Contribute to counselling governance processes, policy development, and quality assurance activity.
Assist in refining, maintaining and improving standards across the wellbeing service.
Platform & technology
Develop and maintain expert-level proficiency with Anne Health's internal platforms.
Contribute to platform training and onboarding for other team members where needed.
Use digital tools confidently to manage records, communications, and counselling workflows.
Person Specification
Qualifications & professional membership
Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (completed); higher qualifications welcomed.
Full BACP membership, or the UK equivalent professional body registration.
Experience
Experience managing a team of counsellors, including providing internal oversight of service delivery, distinct from the formal clinical supervision counsellors hold independently as a condition of their professional registration.
Significant, demonstrable experience in transgender and gender-affirming healthcare at a senior level.
Proven ability to manage risk, safeguarding, and ethically complex presentations.
Experience in a mentoring or counselling lead capacity.
Familiarity with the unique needs of trans+ and gender-diverse people across a range of presentations.
