About the Team

You will join a small, collaborative fundraising team comprising a Trusts and Foundations Manager, a Community Fundraising Coordinator, a National Activity Events Coordinator and a Fundraising Administrator. The Head of Fundraising leads on corporate partnerships, major donors and fundraising strategy. Each team member works with a degree of autonomy whilst contributing to shared income goals and a collective approach to supporter care.

Role Purpose

To steward and grow relationships with our individual supporters across every stage of their journey with HDA - ensuring that however someone first connects with us, they feel known, valued and inspired to stay with us for life. This role leads on legacy and in memory fundraising, two areas of significant strategic importance to us, whilst sustaining and developing our wider base of individual donors through appeals, regular giving and digital communications. This is a key strategic hire for GoodWork. As our Operations Manager, you'll play a central role in how the organisation runs, grows and delivers impact. We’re a small team, which means we need everyone to pick up some admin. For this role, this will include managing our Shared Mailbox, processing DBS checks and keeping the office well stocked and organised. We’re searching for an experienced Legacy Officer, who will play a vital role in ensuring every gift left to Dogs Trust in a will reaches its full potential. This role sits at the heart of our work, as every legacy makes a difference to the dogs we support.

What does this role do?
As a Legacy Officer, you will: 

• manage a caseload of pecuniary, specific, life interest, and residuary legacies, ensuring the charity receives its full entitlement and maximising value where possible,
• liaise with external stakeholders, such as executors or solicitors, handling sensitive conversations efficiently and professionally,
• review estate accounts, including the allocation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT), to confirm estates are correctly administered,
• represent the charity’s interests in all legacy-related correspondence, handling queries from legal professionals and the public with professionalism,
• maintain accurate records using the First Class 4 database, support with reporting, and escalate significant matters to senior legal staff as needed.

Could this be you?
With proven experience in legacy administration, you will have good knowledge of wills, probate, tax and trust law. With excellent attention to detail, you will be highly organised and able to demonstrate experience of managing and prioritising own caseload. A certificate in Charity Legacy Administration is desirable.

Gray’s Inn Road is a 16-bed short-stay accommodation service supporting people with a recent history of rough sleeping to stabilise, rebuild confidence and move towards a home of their own. As Resettlement Worker, you’ll take the lead on helping residents navigate that next step. South East London Mind is looking for a Carers Programme Lead and Facilitator to lead an exciting new programme supporting unpaid carers in Southwark. This role will create opportunities for carers to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience while navigating the challenges of supporting a loved one with mental health needs.

This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring carers have access to the support, knowledge and community they need to thrive. As the Carers Programme Lead, you will mobilise, coordinate and facilitate a programme that combines structured learning, peer support and reflective spaces, helping carers feel better equipped, more connected and less alone. This will include developing and refining a structured learning programme and continuously building on carers’ feedback.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and facilitating a weekly programme for unpaid carers, combining a structured six-week course with ongoing peer support and reflection sessions.
• Creating welcoming, supportive spaces where carers can share experiences, build resilience and prioritise their own wellbeing.
• Developing practical workshops, resources and learning opportunities that help carers navigate the challenges of caring.
• Building relationships with Community Mental Health Teams, carers organisations and community partners to support referrals and engagement.
• Managing programme administration, monitoring and reporting, while supervising sessional staff with lived experience.
• Promoting the programme through outreach, partnership working and community engagement activities.

We would particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience as a mental health carer, or those who have supported family members, friends or loved ones experiencing mental health challenges.The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating groups, alongside experience developing structured programmes and the ability to build relationships with partner organisations and other stakeholders.

We are recruiting an Investment Manager – Portfolio to take a leading role in the delivery of our existing portfolio including on special situations and exits.

You will take ownership of performance and manager relationships across a broad portfolio of social impact investments. You will build relationships with senior leaders at our fund managers and take responsibility for how these investments perform against their financial, social impact and systems change goals.
