Senior Legacy Development Officer

Location: London office with flexibility to work remotely
Salary: £33,044 per year, rising to £35,109 after 6 months and £37,174 after a further 6 months, plus excellent benefits

Are you ready to inspire people to make a lasting impact? We’re looking for a Senior Legacy Development Officer to help shape and deliver creative campaigns that encourage gifts in wills and secure vital future income for our work.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that generates a significant proportion of our income. You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering legacy marketing campaigns across multiple channels, working closely with colleagues and external partners to engage supporters and grow pledges.

What you’ll do

• Lead on planning and delivering gifts in wills campaigns, including advertising, email and direct marketing, and engagement activities.
• Create project plans and briefs, ensuring all communications are on brand, accessible and values-driven.
• Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, using data insights to improve strategy and results.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and agencies, including free will service providers and fundraising organisations.
• Respond sensitively and efficiently to legacy enquiries from supporters and the public.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and charity law.

What we’re looking for

• Confidence and ability to learn quickly, with experience in marketing campaigns (direct and email marketing essential).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to speak sensitively about gifts in wills.
• Ability to analyse data and report on campaign performance.
• Knowledge of fundraising codes, GDPR and safeguarding principles.
• Comfortable using technology and digital tools to deliver campaigns.
• Event management experience is desirable but not essential – training can be provided.

Role purpose 

In this new role, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Policy, Research and Consultancy team’s evidence base and enhance our capacity to generate meaningful insights. As a core member of the PR&C team, you will lead on the collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication of data that informs policy development, supports research outputs, measures impact and underpins consultancy projects. 

Working closely with the Head of the PR&C and the team leads, you will ensure high-quality data and analytical thinking drive decision making across the team, contributing to the overall growth plan. You will bring curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset, continuously improving analytical approaches, developing new methods, while staying informed on trends related to older people, loneliness, and social isolation. 

Key responsibilities

• Data analysis and insight
• Collect, clean, validate, and analyse datasets using both traditional analytical methods and AI-enabled tools to support policy, research, impact, and consultancy activities. 
• Develop clear, compelling insights, leveraging machine learning techniques and predictive analytics, to strengthen the organisation’s evidence base and inform decision-making. 
• Produce high-quality written reports, dashboards, visualisations, and insight summaries, using BI platforms and automation to communicate findings in accessible and engaging ways. 
• Contribute to the development of question design and data collection approaches as part of our monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework. 
• Collect, analyse, and interpret data to support fundraising reporting and bid-writing requirements.
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for deeper analysis to enhance cross-departmental understanding. 

Policy and Research Support

• Provide analytical inputs for policy development, incorporating AI-supported modelling and forecasting where appropriate.
• Support research projects by developing analytical frameworks, conducting statistical, machine-learning analysis, and ensuring data is used effectively within wider research processes.
• Supply high-quality data inputs, visualisations, and analytical commentary for publications, briefings, and presentations.
• Support the administration of impact and research volunteers, delivering inductions, allocating tasks, communication and providing ongoing support. 

Impact and Consultancy Support

• Provide analytical support for impact reporting by analysing outcomes data, applying multi-method evaluation techniques, and producing insight-driven summaries. 
• Contribute to consultancy projects by delivering data driven insights, system mapping, and analytical expertise. Using BI and AI-tools to process and analyse big data sets, producing accessible reports for consultants to share with commissioners and relevant stakeholders. 
• Support the development of analytical tools, templates and automated workflows that enhance the efficiency, consistency, and quality of consultancy work. 
• Support the Research and Impact lead to design, build and analyse the Re-engage annual survey, providing high quality insights.

Collaboration and Continuous improvement

• Support the PR&C team with general administration, including handling the impact mailbox, data entry, and postal mailings. 
• Work closely with colleagues across the charity to strengthen data analysis and develop appropriate tools that support effective data use and deliver high-quality and timely support. 
• Continuously improve analytical processes, data workflows, and visualisation methods by integrating scalable data practices, to enhance efficiency and data quality. 
• Actively seek opportunities to innovate, experiment with emerging AI technologies, and enhance the value of data and insight within the organisation. 
• Develop and maintain AI fluency or be willing to undertake training to become AI-fluent, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of analytical practice.

Skills and Experience 

Essential 

• Strong experience in data analysis, ideally within policy, research, consultancy, or related fields, with an interest in applying AI-enabled analytical techniques. 
• Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar, with the ability to incorporate AI-assisted features for forecasting and insight generation. 
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. 
• Experience with data cleaning, validation and management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings, supported by visualisations or summaries, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, organised, and methodical approach to work with excellent time management and ability to work independently and deliver against KPI’s.

• Proven experience (3+years) in impact measurement, evaluation frameworks, or outcomes-based reporting, with the ability to integrate AI-supported analysis where appropriate. 
• Knowledge of social research methods and statistical techniques.
• Familiarity with data governance, ethics, and responsible data use, including awareness of emerging considerations related to AI.
• AI fluent or willingness to become AI fluent, with a commitment to applying AI responsibly. 
• A degree in a relevant field.

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

As well as delivering currently planned campaign outputs, the role will provide scope for creative work and the development of new projects, ideas and tactics within the aviation workstream.

The basics

The post holder will work as part of the Estate & Facilities and Safety Management team to deliver high standard, customer focused estates and facilities to the organisation. You will lead on all aspects of safety, facilities and estate management at our outdoor learning centre, Hindleap Warren. You will support with facilities (managed onsite by the Director of Finance) but will be responsible for all aspects of safety compliance at our London Office. This role is a blend of strategic and pragmatic thinking to create a great place to work, along with the need to 'roll up sleeves' and ensure our buildings, grounds, and systems of work are safe, compliant, efficient and sustainable. A monthly visit to the London Office will be expected. 

What you will be doing

Estate Strategy 

• Work with the Senior Team and Heads of Centres to develop the strategic direction and objectives to ensure London Youth are following relevant legislation and best practice from all sectors. 
• Create and deliver plans to manage London Youth's assets in a compliant, safe, and best practice manner, as well as rolling out new software to manage this process. 

Facilities Management 

• Lead on delivery of all Facilities Management services, including but not limited to: M&E, fabric, cleaning/housekeeping, bed linen/laundry, car partking, grounds, waste management, pest control and external contractors. Occasionally support may be needed out of normal working hours in emergency situations. 
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring the satisfactory operation of all buildings, plant and equipment, and ensuring our buildings remain compliant, safe, fit for purpose, and reflect our brand values at all times. 
• Procure and manage services, evaluate contracts and tender processes through a blend of in-house and out-sourced delivery methods, as appropriate, and evaluate value for money. 
• Work with the Director of Centres and Heads of Centres to set the estates, facilities, and health & safety elements of their annual budgets and advising on capital expenditure requirements across all three sites. 

Health & Safety 

• Maintain a health and safety management system at both Hindleap and the London Office, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, including overseeing risk assessments, health & safety policies and procedures, and annual audits. 
• Attend monthly meetings of the Safety and Safeguarding Team, analysing reported accident and incident data. 
• Provide assurance reporting to the Director of Centres and Trustees on a quarterly basis. 

What you bring to the role 

• Experience of delivering safe and effective work on customer-facing premises and grounds. 
• Experience of managing high performing teams to deliver in line with the needs of an organisation. 
• Experience of working and leading teams across multiple sites. 
• Relevant qualifications in facilities and estates management and health & safety, including a NEBOSH. 
• Knowledge of the Health and Safety compliance standards applicable to our sites and how these should be achieved. (Please note the outdoor adventurous activities are managed by the operations team - specialist knowldge of these areas is not required.)

We are looking for an experienced and driven Fundraising Manager to play a senior role in growing our income and supporting our mission to improve financial education across the UK.

This role has a strong focus on new business development, particularly across corporate partnerships (all sectors) and trusts and foundations. Alongside developing new funding relationships, you will also be responsible for managing and stewarding existing trusts and foundations, including delivering high-quality funder reporting.

You will be income-focused, proactive and confident building relationships, while also being a collaborative team player who is willing to support existing relationships and wider fundraising activity when needed.

The role is home-based and open to candidates anywhere in the UK, with some travel required for meetings and events.

Key responsibilities

A key part of the role will be coordinating our corporate volunteering programme, particularly school-based volunteering sessions where corporate employees deliver financial education workshops. You will manage the end-to-end process, working closely with corporate partners, schools and internal colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery.

Prospectus is recruiting for a Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer for a UK-based charity that provides free, confidential support to people who are grieving after the death of someone close to them.

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a salary of £32,000 per annum. This is a remote role with occasional travel.

The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer will be responsible for proactively securing and growing income from a large portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations, working collaboratively with funders and teams across the organisation to develop and submit compelling proposals. The postholder will ensure high quality applications focused on an agreed range of cases for support, funder reporting, and prospect research.

They are looking for someone with significant experience in successfully securing income from trusts and foundations including demonstrable experience of securing four and five figure grants. You will be experienced in managing a large portfolio of funders, with a high level of autonomy.
