About Alongside
Alongside is the new name for Julian House. We work with people experiencing social exclusion across the South and West of England, providing outreach, accommodation and support. Our clients may be sleeping rough, fleeing abuse, rebuilding after trauma, leaving prison, recovering from addiction, or trying to settle safely in a new community. Whatever their starting point, we work alongside people to help build safety, stability and independence.
If you'd like a real sense of job satisfaction, great career prospects and a competitive benefits package, you could be who we're looking for!
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic leader to oversee our supported accommodation services across Devon, ensuring the delivery of consistently high quality, safe and person-centred accommodation.
The role will take responsibility for several discrete projects. Included in this portfolio are 23 units for medium support need clients. You will be responsible for at least 4 members of staff. This role will ensure the safe running of these 23 units across 10 properties located in Exeter.
In this role, you'll take the lead in delivering high-quality, person-centred support. From maintaining health & safety standards to working closely with referral agencies and maximising occupancy, you'll be at the heart of creating a stable and supportive environment for those who need it most.
If you're ready to make a real impact and be part of a team that changes lives, we’d love to hear from you!

What we're looking for
There are many great reasons to join our team!
Our Ethos
As an Equal Opportunities employer, we have an Equality and Diversity Action Plan demonstrating our commitment to creating an inclusive culture. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures, particularly those currently underrepresented within our workforce. We also encourage applications from people with lived experience.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident and Mindful employer, as well as an Armed Forces Covenant Supporter.

DBS Checks

Alongside is the new name for Julian House. We work with people experiencing social exclusion across the South and West of England.
We pride ourselves on being a values-driven organisation, and we’re looking for a likeminded fundraiser to join the team. Blending storytelling with statistics, events management with stakeholder engagement, and research with data protection, this varied role would be ideal for someone with an interest in criminal justice who communicates as well in person as they do on paper.
Ideally, you will bring at least one year of fundraising experience, however, this is not a limiting factor. We would consider your interest and passion for working in the criminal justice sector a key ingredient to make the role a success. If you have a talent for writing creatively and demonstrating our impact, this is something we are keenly interested in.
In our new strategy, we will have a focus on the development of other funding streams, diversifying our income to give a strong foundation on which to build future plans and ambitions. We have a strong base of funders and individual donors from which to work, and this role is intended to solidify existing, and develop new, relationships.
Research tells us that marginalised groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet 100% of the criteria. We also know that fundraisers come from many backgrounds with different experiences that might not seem “standard” – and that’s okay! We value people who bring unique perspectives and knowledge to our team.
