Job description

At War Child UK, we are sector leading with our heritage, connections, and relationships. Our friends and partners are ambitious about wanting to make a difference for children affected by conflict and are always looking for new ways to raise vital funds and awareness. With a talented, hard-working team, we deliver amazing, creative fundraising in spades that has a huge capacity to inspire people.

We’re looking for a Partnerships and Gaming Assistant to join our dynamic Partnerships and Gaming function. You will be supporting the Partnerships and Gaming teams through excellent admin and organisation skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communications. In doing so you’ll enable War Child UK to support more of the world’s most vulnerable children.

The ideal candidate will be someone eager to learn about fundraising, with a keen interest in growing their skills and experience within partnerships and gaming fundraising and the enthusiasm to work with companies to bring about positive change to children’s lives.

The role will require you to be based in our London office for a minimum of two days spread across the week. You can work remotely on other days if you choose and we are happy to consider other flexible working arrangements.

If you share our values and believe that children’s lives should not be torn apart by war, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for a Partnerships and Gaming Assistant to provide first class administrative support and to be a key part of maximising the Partnerships and Gaming teams’ capacity to steward and grow our existing partners. You will support the teams with the day-to-day management of smaller partners, including digital stewardship and employee engagement. You will ensure that these partners remain engaged with War Child, and in turn, drive income to help achieve our strategic goals.

For the full job description, please visiit our careers page of our website.

Your responsibilities

  • To play a key role in supporting the Partnerships and Gaming function to maximise fundraising income for War Child providing reliable, organised and proactive administrative support.
  • Provide operational support across team processes and internal infrastructure, enabling the smooth and efficient operation of the Partnerships and Gaming function on a day-to-day basis.
  • Support the Partnerships and Gaming teams with day-to-day management of smaller partners.
  • Work with the teams on digital stewardship communications – including accurately and consistently producing the e-newsletter and compilation of general reports.
  •  To send out e-newsletter and correspondence to partners in a timely and accurate manner using Dot Digital/Salesforce.

You are:

  • Brilliant at building relationships and passionate about delivering excellent partnership management that informs, motivates and inspires others.
  • A natural people-person, who is friendly, approachable and enjoys communicating with supporters over the phone and in writing.
  • Able to write and design clear, engaging and professional presentations, proposals, reports (preferably on Canva).
  • Strong and proactive in your approach to managing your own workload, and able to work self-sufficiently to tight deadlines and multitask at short notice, in a busy environment.
