About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

We’re excited to be creating a new Head of People role to support the next phase of our charity’s development. The role provides strategic leadership, expert input and operational oversight of CoppaFeel!’s people, culture and employment practices, aligned with organisational strategy, values and governance.

Blending strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, the role operates with professional autonomy within the People remit and works in close partnership with the Director of Operations, who retains overall accountability. You will support senior leaders, strengthen organisational culture and ensure people practices are consistent, inclusive and effective as the organisation evolves.

This role sits within the Operations Department, reports into the Director of Operations and line manages the HR Manager. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in our London office. The role is full-time but will consider part-time.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The responsibilities below set out the primary scope of the role, but are not an exhaustive list. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to shape future needs, build capacity and respond to organisational growth. 

• Develop, implement and deliver CoppaFeel!’s People Strategy to support organisational priorities, providing expert input into strategic decision making and organisational planning.
• Lead strategic workforce planning including succession planning  to identify and plan for  the charity’s future .
• Establish, monitor and report on key people metrics and performance indicators, using data and insight to evaluate effectiveness, inform continuous improvement and support evidence based decision making for the Leadership team,  SMT and , where appropriate, Trustees.
• Define, monitor and be accountable for the effectiveness of all people related functions, including recruitment and inclusion, retention, engagement, leadership capability and overall employee experience.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the Senior Leadership Team and senior managers, providing expert guidance and organisational insight informed by feedback from across the organisation.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of a Head of Department, including accountability for delivery and outcomes, role modelling CoppaFeel!’s leadership behaviours and contributing to effective organisational decision making.
• Act as senior lead for complex employee relations issues and provide expert guidance on best practice.
• Develop and coach managers and leaders across the organisation to embed a culture of high performance and accountability. 
• Ensure HR practices are consistent, equitable and legally compliant.
• Maintain, develop , implement and communicate People Policies, processes and systems,  ensuring clarity and accessibility for all staff.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
• Support the Director of Operations in managing people related risk, and reporting, contributing to SMT, CEO and Trustee level oversight as required.
• Promote and embed diversity and inclusion across policies, employee relations, recruitment , culture, and staff experience..
• Line manage and support the HR Manager, fostering their continued development. 
• Oversee the pay and grading framework, ensuring fairness, consistency and role clarity.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

Essential

• CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 desirable).
• Significant HR generalist experience at senior advisory or lead level.
• Experience designing and implementing HR policies, frameworks and people processes.
• Experience leading EDI, culture or wellbeing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and GDPR.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
• Experience supporting managers through complex ER matters. 
• Ability to translate strategy into practical, people-focused solutions.

• Charity sector experience or experience working in a mission driven organisation.

Job Title: Legal Casework Manager

Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – by providing specialist advice and undertaking legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network. As a member of the Programmes team, the Legal Casework Manager will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on the development and operational delivery of the Legal Casework programme, including processes for case assessment and selection.

• Develop a pipeline of legal action to protect and expand the rights of way network – liaising with external legal advisers, preparing documents for access to the Designated Legal Fund and monitoring developments.

• Be a source of expertise on rights of way law and practice, advising members of the public and volunteers on technical issues related to public rights of way.

• Provide training and support for volunteers on aspects of rights of way law and practice.

• Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.

• Work with Nations and campaigns colleagues to ensure that relevant legislation and government policy and practice, at both central and local levels, are as beneficial as possible to the walking public.

• Ensure our legal casework is contributing to the delivery of our refreshed strategy by focusing legal action on priority communities.

• Be responsible for managing a legal budget in line with programme goals and objectives, to ensure best use of charitable funds

• Be responsible for evaluation and reporting, to ensure the programme meets KPIs and delivers measurable impact.

• Horizon-scan to identify key threats and opportunities for legislation and litigation and need for volunteer guidance and training.

Individual Giving Officer 

Salary: £30,255 - £37,732

We have an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Officer (Retention) to join the Commercial Directorate at Help for Heroes and play a key role in building long-term supporter relationships that help fund life-changing support for the Armed Forces community. 

About the Role 

As Individual Giving Officer (Retention), you’ll sit at the heart of how Help for Heroes builds long-term, sustainable income. You’ll lead the delivery of multi-channel retention campaigns and fundraising appeals that strengthen supporter relationships, increase lifetime value and ensure our supporters feel valued, informed and inspired to continue their support. 

You’ll own retention activity across cash giving, lottery and regular giving - shaping campaigns from idea through to delivery, optimisation and evaluation. Using insight and performance data to continually refine supporter journeys, test new approaches and ensure every communication adds value to the supporter experience. 

You’ll lead on the delivery of direct mail appeals, following the process through from concept ideation to data briefing, from sourcing impactful content, managing the print process, to the final appeal landing with supporters. Importantly, the appeals will be across a variety of channels in addition to direct mail, and you’ll be at the forefront of leading post campaign reviews. 

Working closely with the Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition), you’ll help create a seamless journey from first gift to long-term loyalty.

This role offers real autonomy, variety and influence, with your work directly contributing to a strong, engaged supporter base and long-term income growth.

ISEAL is looking for an experienced events professional to manage a range of in person and virtual events for its global stakeholder base. This is an exciting role for someone with a strong track record in organising events of differing sizes for in-person, online, and hybrid audiences, and who is interested in sustainability.

Events are a vital part of ISEAL’s work to communicate with, influence, and engage our key stakeholder groups, including policy makers, multilateral organisations, donors, companies, NGOs, producers, and, of course, ISEAL’s own members. To support these aims, ISEAL hosts at least one major public forum, conference or symposium each year. In 2026, this will be a Global Sustainability Symposium and will take place in Accra, Ghana in June with around 200-300 participants. Additionally, ISEAL organises Members´ Week, an annual multi-day event for ISEAL Community Members that typically attracts 60-100 participants per day.

With support from the Events Coordinator, the Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of event management for the events described above. The role will also work closely with ISEAL programme teams and senior colleagues to coordinate the development of event agendas, content and sessions.

In addition, ISEAL’s events programme includes a range of smaller workshops and roundtables, both in Europe and in other locations, including China, India, Ghana, Indonesia, and Latin America. ISEAL also runs a busy webinar programme. The Associate Manager will work with senior colleagues to agree the level of support given by the Events Team to each of these smaller events/event series. While the Events Team is not expected to directly organise every event, the Associate Manager will also maintain and develop event planning resources, and guidance to support the organisation to consistently deliver high-quality events.

To succeed in this role, you will have significant existing experience in organising events, ideally including international events for high-profile audiences. Given the range of international events, you will also have a sensitive approach to cultural diversity and, ideally, some additional language skills. This role is responsible for line managing the Events Coordinator.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Event management

• Manage the production and delivery of in person and virtual events, with a particular focus on sustainable event delivery
• Implement project management processes to deliver on events, including developing work-back plans and RACI charts, organising and chairing planning meetings, and leading on internal communications
• Lead supplier selection for in person events, collating requirements, researching venues, completing contracting with venue and major suppliers, and communicating event needs to all suppliers
• Coordinate promotion and outreach for events, working closely with the Communications and Membership teams to promote events across all relevant channels
• Oversee registration for events, setting up and monitoring relevant systems & provide internal updates
• Collaborate with senior and programme staff to develop event agendas and content, organising and chairing content meetings, drawing up session schedules and ensuring logistical requirements are met
• Prepare written event materials and other collateral, including web copy, programmes, invitations and participant communications, feedback surveys, travel reimbursement policies and other documents
• Provide excellent customer service to attendees, speakers, and staff involved with events, acting as an advocate for attendee experience
• Deliver internal briefings for staff in the lead up to events and create staffing plans to ensure smooth delivery on the day
• Carry out risk assessments and lead on contingency planning for events
• Track budgets, liaising with budget holders and coordinating with ISEAL finance team about invoicing and reimbursement
• Manage events follow-up such as feedback survey analysis, preparation of post-event materials and reports, and internal evaluation meetings/surveys
• Monitor and report on the environmental impact of events, including waste and GHG emissions, using these learnings to improve event sustainability wherever possible

Event strategy, guidance, policies, and procedures

• Contribute to developing the annual event schedule, including making recommendations based on the event team’s capacity and referring to ISEAL’s strategic objectives
• Maintain and develop event planning guidance, templates, tools, systems, and other resources
• Support the Events & Engagement Manager to maintain and develop event-related policies, including the Event Code of Conduct and the Event Sustainability Policy
• Organise data and maintain relevant mailing lists, including updating contact and attendance records
• Maintain an updated list of venue choices that have high sustainability credentials in key cities where ISEAL may wish to hold small and large events

Other

• Line manage Events Coordinator, and oversee their development and growth, identifying appropriate learning and development opportunities
• Supervise contributions of other assistants and coordinators to event planning and delivery
• Participate actively in team and organisational planning and activities
• Participate in internal staff management processes such as performance reviews, supervisory meetings
• Be a collaborative and effective team member, liaising with colleagues at all levels across organisation

Essential attributes / skills / knowledge

• Track record of working on large in-person professional events, ideally in an international setting
• Strong interest, and ideally experience, in delivering sustainable or “green” meetings and events
• Strong project management skills, with an ability to comfortably juggle a number of different deliverables and deadlines at any given time
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others (via e-mail, Teams, phone and in person)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to high standards, with attention to detail
• Capable of taking initiative to take action and solve problems within an agreed scope
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, international environment, including regular international time-zone calls
• Experience in line management, able to delegate effectively and develop direct reports
• Ability to work confidently and sensitively with a diverse global community
• Confidence in using IT systems, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom), and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with running webinars and online events.

Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occasional training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occasional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Live within one of the following areas: West Midlands (Defined as the 7 metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton), Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Rutland;
• have been employed to work with volunteers for at least two years;

Overall Purpose of the Role

Youth Action Alliance (YAA) exists to support the personal and social development of young people in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, helping them build resilience, confidence, and skills for the present while shaping positive futures.

We are seeking an experienced, values-driven male youth worker to lead the Staying Connected & Boys Project. This is a key role combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, focused on engaging boys and young men aged 11–19 (up to 21, subject to funding) who may be facing multiple challenges.
