We’re ready to take our fundraising to the next level, and we’re looking for an ambitious and talented Senior Fundraising Officer to help us grow our income, develop our fundraising culture and strengthen our relationships with funders.

The primary aim of this role is to help Money and Mental Health secure the income it needs to deliver its mission and further strengthen the charity’s financial footing for the future. This is a crucial role in our new Fundraising team, and the successful candidate will work across all elements of our income generation activities - from grant-writing to donor stewardship and pipeline development.

The role will have a particular focus on securing funding from Trusts and Foundations, but there will also be ample opportunities to engage corporate partners and other prospective funders. 

The successful candidates will have the chance to bring their ideas in terms of identifying new routes to funding for the organisation and shaping our income generation activities.

Key responsibilities:

Funding bids and proposals

• Draft and develop effective and impactful fundraising bids and proposals to secure both grant income and corporate sponsorship

• Project manage the process of developing funding proposals - including completing funding checklists, coordinating the team on relevant deadlines and booking in time for sign off from relevant colleagues.

Relationship management

• Play a key role in donor stewardship alongside Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including grant makers, corporates and individual donors

• Support SLT in identifying - and building relationships with - relevant individuals within prospective funder organisations - including coordinating meetings.

• Ensure we stay on top of our grant requirements, including drafting grant reports and coordinating other team members to fulfil those requirements

• Work with External Affairs team to create excellent supporter journeys for online donors.

Pipeline development

• Work with Head of Fundraising to undertake research into new fundraising prospects and to develop a strong funder pipeline

• Stay on top of new developments in the charity sector and wider funding landscape

• Make recommendations to Head of Fundraising on new funders we should engage with or seek to build relationships with

• Maintain accurate pipeline data and prospect records, ensuring regular updates

Planning, strategy and vision

• Contribute to the delivery of our income generation strategy - including meeting relevant targets set out in the strategy. 

• Support the team with advance planning on funding bids, project managing complex cross-team processes, matrix-managing small project teams and ensuring all key milestones are met 

• Proactively suggest ideas for ways of improving our processes and ways of working to better support our income generation targets or better deliver our work.

About you:

Essential qualities 

• A proven track record of securing five-figure grants or income from trusts, foundations and/or corporate partners.

• A demonstrable track record of writing impactful and effective funding proposals, and leading the end-to-end process of applying for grants and reporting on those received 

• Strong copywriting skills, and the ability to articulate the impact from donations

• Excellent project management skills 

• Solid relationship management skills, with the ability to lead donor stewardship and develop excellent working relationships with key teams internally

• A genuine commitment to the organisation’s mission, as well as to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a busy to-do list

Project Trust is an education charity with over fifty years’ experience in international volunteering for young people.  We organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT

Responsibilities & duties

Digital content and communications

· Create engaging content for Project Trust’s social media channels (including posts, stories, reels, and simple graphics)

· Support with maintenance and updating of Project Trust’s website

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Office Manager is responsible for the smooth running of our renovated, spacious open plan office, ensuring that it is welcoming, safe and inclusive.  The postholder will lead on day-to-day office management, health and safety, and contribute to a high-quality employee experience in the office and working from home. 

You should have demonstrable experience in office management and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly about, property and office facilities management. You will be confident in managing Health and Safety in the workplace and maintaining supplier relationships. A person-centre approach and strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prioritise effectively, are also key. The role involves managing a small portfolio of non-office properties, so an understanding of landlord responsibilities would be an advantage. 

The role is part-time, 28 hours over 4 days per week. We would also be open to this being worked over 5 shorter days. The role is majority office based due to the responsibilities of the role, with a minimum 3 days per week in the office, with the option of some home working. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring in-person coverage across the working week in conjunction with a part-time Facilities and Office Assistant.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Concierge to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds.  You’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well run environment, offering reassurance and practical support to residents when they need it most. This role is key to keeping our building, residents and service secure and responsive. You’ll do regular safety checks, monitor access, respond to emergencies, support residents with queries, keep records, and hand over to the team. You’ll also help maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Ensuring our buildings are safe by monitoring, completing welfare checks and responding affectively and appropriately to emergencies

About School of Food
Set up in March 2020, Hackney School of Food (HSoF) is a food education hub on the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, families, and our community by developing practical skills and confidence in food growing and cooking, from seed to spoon.

In 2023, we became a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), and have since grown our team, strengthened our governance and expanded our facilities with the addition of a new Garden Room, increasing capacity for workshops, dining and events. We are now well-positioned to grow and diversify our income streams, which enables us to subsidise our schools and community programmes.

Role Overview

This brand-new role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver Hackney School of Food’s commercial and marketing strategy, with a focus on growing key income streams including corporate engagement, paid workshops and events, and venue hire. You will shape how HSoF positions itself externally and how we grow our trading income to subsidise our food education community offer.

While this is currently a freelance role, it is not a transactional position; you’ll collaborate closely with our team, supported by and reporting to our Managing Director. Outputs & Success Measures (First 6 Months – Indicative)
We recognise that Hackney School of Food is at a growth stage and that commercial income is shaped by many factors, including capacity, seasonality and market conditions. These outputs are intended as guiding success measures rather than rigid targets.

By the end of the initial six-month contract, the Commercial & Marketing Lead will have:

● Produced and agreed a clear Commercial & Marketing Delivery Plan for Hackney School of Food, setting priorities for growing our commercial income in a way that aligns with our mission.

● Refined our core commercial offers and packages (e.g. corporate away days, team volunteering, venue hire, paid public workshops), ensuring they are appealing and realistic to deliver.

● Built a healthy pipeline by identifying and actively pursuing 10–15 well-aligned commercial leads, with a focus on quality of fit as well as volume.

The Associate Director of Programme Fundraising plays a critical role within this set up - leading and shaping the programme fundraising strategy to secure large scale partnerships with institutional donors, trusts and foundations and strategic corporate partners. As Associate Director of Programme Fundraising you will lead a high-performing team of 6, with matrix management/collaboration with colleagues based in India and Pakistan, as an active member of the Fundraising Leadership team.

About the role:

• Further develop and implement the programme fundraising strategy, focused on securing funding from institutional donors, trusts and foundations and corporate partners aligned with BAT's core programmatic areas.

This newly created role will line manage up to four philanthropy managers and lead key projects and income streams for the team, as well as developing senior relationships with key stakeholders across the charity, hospital and UCL. The senior philanthropy manager will manage a mixed portfolio of individual, trust and foundation and corporate prospects capable of making significant gifts at the six-figure and seven-figure level to secure philanthropic support towards priority projects. This role will be critical in supporting the head of philanthropy implement the strategy and the team achieving its exciting growth ambitions, and will play a key role in the charity's wider plans to embed a culture of philanthropy across the partnership.

The successful candidate will bring significant major gift fundraising experience, with a demonstrable track record of securing gifts at the six-figure level (£250k+), alongside a strong commitment to excellent stewardship and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders. You'll be an inspiring line manager and a collaborative, solutions-focused fundraiser, able to communicate complex medical projects clearly to non-specialist audiences and thrive in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines. Experience of securing seven-figure gifts and/or fundraising in healthcare/medical research would be welcomed but is not essential.

The TSA is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced person to join our small but ambitious fundraising team. This is a key role at the TSA, with trusts and foundations an area we have identified for significant growth, while acknowledging the extremely competitive world the sector currently finds itself in for receiving such funding. 

It would suit a candidate with a strong track record in consistently delivering in a similar role. The charity has completed significant work in this area to get the foundations right for this role (Theory of Change etc.) 

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a successful trusts and foundations fundraising programme, securing both restricted and unrestricted income to support TSA’s services, research and strategic priorities.
