Our client is a small, community-focused charity tackling poverty and food insecurity in one of North West London’s most disadvantaged communities. About the roles
Since 2018, the LRU has grown its membership to over 7,000 renters across London. Through our six branches, we support renters to take action to transform the housing system. Organising in communities, the LRU runs training, facilitates peer support, takes collective action and campaigns on local issues, to grow our power.
The purpose of this role is to support the growth and collective leadership of our branch members in and around the Brent branch or the Newham branch. What you'll do:
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
- The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
- Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
- Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
- Empower customers to be part of the local community and active participants in the local community as part of a Recovery Capital model.
- Liaise with partner agencies regarding making referrals where an unmet need has been identified via the multi-agency assessment.

This new Director of Philanthropy role will lead and guide the organisation to build philanthropic fundraising in Europe. This will involve developing a philanthropic fundraising strategy, working to build a pipeline of high-value donors, and securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. This role will be responsible for delivering annual income targets rising to unrestricted or lightly restricted donations totalling £1 million per annum within four years. About you
You will have experience of trust and statutory fundraising within the charity sector and a proven track record of securing five-figure or higher gifts.
You will be confident researching and approaching new funders, developing relationships and turning opportunities into sustainable income.
An excellent communicator and persuasive writer, you will be able to take complex information and turn it into clear, compelling proposals. You will also be organised, target-driven and comfortable managing your own workload while collaborating with colleagues at all levels.
Experience of CRM databases, prospect research and grant management will also be important.

Employee Relations Specialist - 3-Month Contract

We are recruiting for a hands-on Employee Relations Specialist to join a large, international technology and professional services organisation with approximately 2,000 employees in the UK and 15,000 globally.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established HR team of around 20 people and play a key role within a busy HR Shared Services environment. The organisation has a fast-paced, sales-driven culture, so experience of working in a large and complex environment with multiple stakeholders is essential.
The Role
This is a hands-on, non-managerial position suited to an experienced HR/ER professional. In consultancy terms, we're looking for someone operating at Senior Consultant level rather than Manager level.
You don't need previous leadership or management experience. Instead, you'll need to be confident managing a busy ER caseload independently, dealing with complex employee matters and working effectively in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
You'll work closely with managers and stakeholders, providing practical and knowledgeable advice across a range of employee relations matters while ensuring cases are managed consistently and in line with UK employment legislation.

1. Strong ER Case Management Experience
You must have substantial experience managing ER cases independently, with experience handling complex ER matters being a major advantage.
2. Workday Experience
Previous experience using Workday is essential. This is the organisation's core HRIS platform.
3. TUPE Experience
You'll need practical experience of supporting or managing TUPE processes.
4. Large, Complex Organisation Experience
Experience working within a large and complex organisation is essential. International organisation experience would be a significant advantage. Experience within a large organisation of several hundred employees or more is preferred.
