South East London Mind is looking for a Group Activities Facilitator, in our new Southwark Wellbeing Hub (SWH), to lead an exciting new programme of groups and activities across Southwark. The Group Activities Facilitator will create opportunities for people with mental health needs to connect with others who understand their experiences, gain practical tools and information, and build resilience. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring Southwark residents have access to the support and community they need to thrive.

You will be a highly skilled facilitator with good knowledge of mental health and experience supporting people with mental health problems. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

As the Group Activities Facilitator, you will coordinate and facilitate a programme that brings group activities to community spaces across the borough. The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community supporting unaccompanied minors who have experienced human rights abuses and are seeking asylum, refugee status and settlement in the United Kingdom.

The role of a Therapeutic Community Caseworker at the Baobab Centre is to support unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee adolescents and young adults to access care, basic rights and entitlements and to support their social development and rehabilitation.This role involves working closely with the clinical key worker of each young person and with our wider multidisciplinary team. This new Director of Philanthropy role will lead and guide the organisation to build philanthropic fundraising in Europe. This will involve developing a philanthropic fundraising strategy, working to build a pipeline of high-value donors, and securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. This role will be responsible for delivering annual income targets rising to unrestricted or lightly restricted donations totalling £1 million per annum within four years. It will also support the Director, of their International Fund (based in the USA) in the development of an ambitious global catalytic unrestricted fund targeting $1 billion in commitments over the next five years.

To be successful in this role, this person will have proven significant experience in major gift fundraising and a proven track record of securing high-value, multi-year philanthropic commitments from individuals, family offices and/or foundations. This person will have knowledge and experience of UK and ideally European philanthropic markets. They will also need to have sensitivity to being a Global South-led organisation and an entrepreneurial mindset to achieve income growth. They will have previously developed and launched dynamic fundraising strategies that achieved income generation growth.

Job Purpose: 

To oversee the management and growth of Venue Hire for our historic spaces covering meetings, conferences, talks, weddings and community activities. This is our primary source of income and key to supporting our library and learning programme, alongside our theatre income and fundraising.

The role will also lead on identifying and developing new business opportunities for other commercial income streams, building relationships with clients and partners, and ensuring that commercial activity supports the Foundation’s charitable purpose and long-term sustainability.

Optimising the use of space to ensure that St Bride Foundation (SBF) operates profitably as well as meeting the needs of our communities is a key part of the role. The Business Development and Events Manager will oversee the Venue Hire activity and promote the venue’s room resources, as well as supporting the Library and Workshop in the organisation of in-house courses, seminars and events.

Key Responsibilities: 

Events Management

• Manage the Events Team activity of promoting and selling the venue’s event spaces, ensuring SBF has good visibility on all relevant venue hire websites.
• Responding to and converting enquiries and monitoring conversion effectiveness.
• Managing clients’ needs for booked events.
• Negotiating contracts for both short and long-term use; and ensuring that all aspects of the venue are fit for purpose.
• Identify new networks and online promotions to promote the SBF offer

Be responsible, along with the Operations Manager and Foundation Manager, to the Board for:

• Setting and achieving yearly and monthly income budgets, including quarterly forecasting and planning.

• Proven experience of planning and delivering events end-to-end, on time and within budget. Working with teams on a varied programme of activities for a diverse mix of audiences.
• Experience of working with volunteers running workshops and events, overseeing all aspects of delivery.
• Experience working with external partners, including community groups, local authorities and sponsors.
• Line management experience of an events team, including support with managing workload and personal development objectives.

The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of St Bride Foundation, helping to ensure our historic building is safe, compliant, well maintained and welcoming.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Facilities Coordinator, you'll provide support across facilities management while also acting as a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, tenants and contractors. We're looking for an organised, approachable and proactive individual who enjoys a varied role and is equally comfortable managing administrative tasks behind the scenes as delivering excellent front of house service.

 Key Responsibilities: 

Operational Administration

• Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Facilities Coordinator across all aspects of facilities management including planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance requests.
• Liaise with Facilities Coordinator to ascertain what jobs can be completed in-house and what needs an external contractor.
• Obtain quotations for maintenance, repairs and improvement works from contractors and suppliers.
• Arrange contractor visits, coordinate access and ensure works are completed to the required standard.
• Ensure contractors provide appropriate documentation, including risk assessments, method statements and insurance certificates where required.
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules, servicing, warranties and contractor documentation.

Front of House & Building Support

• Provide Front of House support, covering reception desk during core hours, welcoming visitors and providing excellent customer service.

• Act as a point of contact for building tenants, responding to queries and coordinating facilities requests.
• Assist with room access, keys and general building administration.

Digital & Administrative Support

• Support the Learning team with updating of event listings across ticketing platforms and the organisation's website as required.
• Manage the administration of the organisation's online bookshop, including processing orders, maintaining stock records and liaising with customers where required.

We are looking for someone experienced in digital communications and conversion, excited by the chance to work across a range of human rights issues, and who brings solid experience in leading a team.

About The Role

StreetLink London plays a vital role in supporting people sleeping rough to access the services and support they need.

Through assessment, advice, advocacy and partnership working, the service helps improve outcomes for people experiencing rough sleeping across all 32 London boroughs.

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead the strategic development and day-to-day delivery of StreetLink London. Managing a team of Assessment Workers, a Coordinator and volunteers, you will drive service quality, monitor performance against key targets and work collaboratively with commissioners and partners to ensure the service continues to respond effectively to changing needs across London's rough sleeping sector.

In this role you will:

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team, ensuring excellent service delivery and positive outcomes for clients

Purpose of the role

Transforming the Thames is an ambitious, partnership-led programme working towards a vision of a restored, reconnected and resilient Thames Estuary, a thriving coastal wetland where communities and wildlife can flourish.

Led by ZSL and delivered through a diverse partnership of industry, government, environmental organisations, local nature partnerships and landowners, the programme is bringing people and organisations together to reconnect the fragmented and damaged seascape of the Greater Thames Estuary. Through the protection, repair and restoration of coastal habitats, the programme is delivering an initial 320ha of habitat restoration by 2030, with ambitions to scale up this work over the long term.

This role will play an important part in bringing the vision for Transforming the Thames to life, coordinating communications across the programme and working with the ZSL project team and partners to deliver clear, consistent and engaging messaging. Working closely with ZSL’s central PR team, the role will support content, media activity and key campaign moments, drawing on ZSL’s brand, partner resources and creative content to share the programme’s story with a wide range of audiences.

With the project now underway, this is an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of Transforming the Thames, engage communities across the Greater Thames Estuary and showcase how collaboration can help nature recover.

This role is offered on a 12-month part-time fixed-term contract, working 22.5 or 30 hours per week depending on your preference.

This is a hybrid role, predominantly field and home-based, with an expectation to attend ZSL’s Regent’s Park office at least once every two weeks with regular travel to fieldwork locations across London, Kent and Essex. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required with advance notice.

Key responsibilities:  

• Content Creation & Digital Communications: Lead content production and management for Transforming the Thames’ social media channels and create engaging content for wider ZSL channels. Produce and commission high-quality written, photographic and video content, including milestone stories, website updates, press releases, newsletters and community stories.
• Communications Planning & Campaign Management: Manage the project communications calendar, campaigns and milestone storytelling, identifying opportunities to share the project’s progress and impact with a range of audiences.
• Strategic Communications: Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to deliver and regularly update the project communications strategy, ensuring communications support the project’s wider aims and ambitions.
• Partner Communications & Collaboration: Lead the quarterly Partner Communications Forum and coordinate communications across a large partnership, supporting shared messaging, brand consistency, content planning and amplification across partner channels.
• Major Events & Media Coordination: Coordinate communications around key project moments, including restoration activities, conferences and other major events, working closely with ZSL’s central PR and communications teams.

About You

• Proven experience in communications or media (environment, science, or public engagement ideal), with experience delivering communications campaigns and content to deadlines.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a range of audiences and channels.
• Experience planning and producing social media content, including short-form video, photography and video content.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically across teams and partner organisations.

• Line manage the Fundraising Manager, providing regular supervision, support, and performance development
