Job description

Stewardship Manager – Mid-value

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £41,814- £48, 893

Closing Date: 9th Nov 2026

Interviews will be held w/c 16th Nov.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Stewardship Manager (Mid-value) to join our Individual Giving, Stewardship team based in London.

About us

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

The Stewardship team plays a vital role in delivering Centrepoint's Individual Giving fundraising strategy and long-term income growth. The Mid-value programme focuses on supporters who donate approximately £1,000-£5,000 annually and aims to deepen engagement, increase loyalty and maximise supporter lifetime value with this group. As Stewardship Manager – Mid-value, you will own the strategic direction of the Mid-value programme, leading stewardship, cultivation and income-generation activity including personalised communications, appeals, events, digital engagement and donor journeys. Working closely with colleagues across Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Legacies and Supporter Care, you will ensure supporters receive an exceptional experience and have clear pathways into higher value giving programmes where appropriate.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.

About you

  • You have experience managing mid-/high-value donor stewardship with a passion for building long-term supporter relationships.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering income growth from mid-/ high-value donors  through effective stewardship activities.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with supporters as well as internal stakeholders, suppliers and agency partners.
  • You are highly analytical and confident using data and supporter behaviour insight to drive decision-making and improve fundraising performance.
  • You are a collaborative leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery of Centrepoint's Mid-value programme, strategy, annual plans and supporter journeys to achieve ambitious income and retention targets.
  • Developing personalised communications with Centrepoint’s Mid-value donor base.
  • Monitoring programme performance, analysing data and insight, optimise results and supporter experience.
  • Managing programme budgets, forecasts and agency relationships to ensure strong return on investment and achievement of targets.
  • Managing and developing the Stewardship Officer, delivering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Working with colleagues across Philanthropy, Legacies, Individual Giving and Supporter Care to develop clear supporter migration pathways and deepen engagement across Centrepoint's fundraising programmes.

What we’d be looking for from you…

  • Excellent understanding of mid-/high-value donors and their behaviours, as well as a strong track record of growing income streams through donor stewardship
  • Experience in fundraising programme planning & management while implementing multi-channel fundraising activities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage supporters and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience managing agencies and external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulation, GDPR and PECR requirements.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding supporter experiences and continuous programme improvement.

.

Why join Centrepoint?

In return for your efforts you’ll receive a competitive salary, excellent training and development, and a host of staff benefits including:

  • 25 days of annual leave per year, rising by one day per year to a maximum of 27 days
  • Healthcare cash plan (Cover the costs of a wide range of medical treatment including Dental, Optical, Complementary and Alternative therapies).
  • Private Medical insurance
  • Employer pension contributions of 5%
  • Access to Cycle 2 Work loan scheme
  • An interest-free travel loan

At Centrepoint we challenge the discrimination within society that contributes to youth homelessness, and we are just as committed to fairness and equality within Centrepoint itself. We are passionate about ensuring all of our colleagues are made to feel included in the work we do and that we value the rich diversity within the organization.

We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications regardless of sex, gender, race, age, belief in any religion and none, gender identity, ethnic origin, class, sexuality, nationality, appearance, unrelated criminal activities, disability, responsibility for dependents, part time or shift workers, being HIV positive or living with AIDS, lived experience of homelessness or using young people’s services and any other matter which causes a person to be treated with injustice.

Centrepoint’s policy is to recruit, employ and promote people on the basis of their suitability for the work to be performed, and to this end, our aim is to ensure that all applicants, employees and volunteers receive equal treatment.
