About the Role

As Team Leader, you will be directly involved in managing a 4 bed specialist short stay Home and looking after children aged 12 to 18 years old with complex needs; including Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Mental Health Disorders, Substance Dependencies and Learning Disabilities.

Whether shift leading or joining in with daily activities, you will also share in the leadership of the team, helping to develop staff by modelling high standards of professionalism. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
•  GCSE English and Maths grades A-C.
• One year’s experience working at a level of responsibility with children and young people in a residential setting.
• An understanding of the regulatory framework relating to the provision of residential services for children and young people.
• Good understanding of the needs and risks regarding children in care.
• An understanding of trauma  informed practice.
• Experience of taking on leadership responsibilities in a teamwork setting.

The successful candidate will have:

Breck Foundation

The Role

Children’s online safety is both an important and an urgent issue and the need for our unique work here at Breck Foundation is greater now than ever. The primary purpose of this role is to help children and young people take practical steps to become more digitally resilient and be safer online. Our East of England Education Programme Officer will introduce the highly impactful Breck’s story into schools and other youth and community spaces and deliver inspiring, educational talks to students, parents and guardians, teachers and other groups in a ‘whole community’ approach.

The role is fully remote, but post holder will be willing and able to easily travel to various locations within the East of England as and when necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role as well as to engage with colleagues virtually and in person in London four times a year.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Programme Delivery

• Coordinate all practical arrangements necessary for successful delivery and post-delivery activities in schools, including the timely transmission of digital files; and liaising with relevant colleagues to ensure timely delivery of materials and promotional merchandise to schools.
• Responsibility for delivering sessions tailored to educate/inform children/parents and teachers as well as carrying out all pre- and post-delivery engagements.
• Respond to any questions, disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised during sessions and follow up where necessary with the school safeguarding team or, where consent is secured, make onward referrals for additional support in specific cases.
• Contribute to the continuous development of all aspects of the programme, sharing new ideas and using best practice, including keeping programme presentations up to date or, when applicable, working on this together with relevant colleagues, ensuring that presentations used in schools across the organisation are always uniform and consistent.
• Maintain accurate records of programme activities, including record of input, output, and impact as well as demographics data, and monitor and periodically evaluate and report on impact.

Stakeholder Development/Management

• Seek and maximise opportunities for building relationships with groups of schools (primary and secondary) and relevant education/teaching groups, unions and networks, with a view to raising the profile of the programme and generating interest in it.
• Develop and manage ongoing relationships with individual schools to secure their repeat, annual participation in the programme or repeat bookings for paid presentations.

Publicity/Marketing/Communications

• Promote the offer to all types of schools (state and private), working with relevant colleagues to create impactful publicity/marketing assets and to make contact and register schools’ interests. 
• Maximise opportunities for generating communication assets and publicity during delivery in schools, including through video recordings, photographs, testimonials, Vox Pops, collection of social media handles for mentions etc., ensuring to follow school guidance and secure necessary permissions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Objectively review the successes and achievements against agreed objectives, identifying strengths, weaknesses and risks, as well as suggesting improvement.
• Depending on experience and qualifications of post-holder, to be receptive to any other duties as required, in line with the needs of Breck Foundation.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other professionals, and to participate in team meetings.
• To participate in personal supervision in accordance with Breck Foundation’s supervision and performance appraisal policy and attend agreed training as relevant.
• At all times to carry out the responsibilities of the post in a manner consistent with promoting equalities and diversity and demonstrate respect for colleagues and Breck Foundation’s aims and values.
• To maintain an awareness of own and others’ health and safety, comply with Breck Foundation’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and lone working policy.

About you:

You're an experienced accountant with a track record of financial partnering at senior levels. You're comfortable working across boundaries, challenging assumptions constructively, and coaching colleagues to strengthen their own financial knowledge.

You'll have:

- CCAB qualification through education or demonstrable knowledge.
- Significant experience strengthening financial capability across large or complex organisations, including developing training and coaching programmes.
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with strong focus on development and performance management.
- Expert knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and tools.
- Substantial experience working with finance systems, particularly ERP systems (we use Unit4).
- Experience driving quality improvement through data-driven metrics and reporting.
- A track record of challenging assumptions and holding others accountable for their financial responsibilities.

Sessional Assessing Social Worker

Role: Self-employed Form F Assessor

Locations: South East London, and North Kent

Pay - £2,250 per Form F Assessment / £37.50 per hour,  plus £250 bonus for ‘panel ready’ assessments, plus £250 bonus for completion within 16 weeks, plus 45p mileage

We are recruiting sessional assessing social workers to undertake Form F assessments .  Our assessments are undertaken face to face. Applicants should be able to travel across South East London, and North Kent areas for assessment visits to prospective foster carers. 

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

• To undertake and complete Form F assessments in the timescale set out in our policy and guidance.
• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.
• To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
• £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England).

As the Community Fundraiser covering East Anglia you will play a crucial role in helping the charity meet its strategic plans and objectives, which include campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.  Your role will be to generate and grow our income through community fundraising activities, contributing to a regional team target of more than £1.5 million.​

Ideally you have experience of managing intergenerational or multi-generational projects, however if you don't have intergenerational experience then strong experience of working with older people and young people/children separately is required.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

Lead facilitation of intergenerational sessions

Taking responsibility for the high-quality delivery of the session, leading activities from the front, delegating tasks to and managing a supporting volunteer if appropriate. The lead facilitator will endeavor to involve everyone present in the session, be responsible for ensuring that InCommon’s safeguarding procedures are followed and that any incidents are handled appropriately. 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with people of all ages 

Using your excellent communication skills you’ll build strong relationships with everyone taking part in an InCommon programme, from children and older people to primary school teachers and staff working at retirement homes. This role may involve communication before and after the session with parties taking part; where this is the case it will be clearly communicated by the Senior Programme Manager. 

A lead facilitator should be someone who can

• Engage a roomful of people over fun, creative and conversation-based activities

• Is reliable, trustworthy and can commit to monthly term-time sessions

• Is sensitive to the needs of young people and older adults, understanding the variety of needs they may have

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:

You will be contracted on a rolling contract to deliver ‘blocks’ of intergenerational workshops. These may take place over variable locations across London and indicatively will be in held on the same days each month. We arrange the sessions and take care of all the marketing, driving engagement and managing bookings for you.

The post holder will join a team of safeguarding officers who will carry specific responsibility for individual cases, undertake risk assessments, lead training and advise churches. We are seeking a dynamic and organised Team Administrator to join our charity. You will manage the overall running of our office by maintaining our administrative processes, managing communications with housing associations and schools and working closely with the wider team in the implementation of training, workshops, events and projects.

This role will provide a variety of operational support to the Programme Team as we develop our offer and the delivery of intergenerational workshops. This job description will be reviewed on a regular basis and may be subject to change, particularly as the needs of the charity change. We aim to make the role permanent in August 2026, subject to funding.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing excellent admin support to the Programme Team and wider team

Guided by the Senior Programme Manager you’ll coordinate the administration of our programmes. You will work with the whole team to ensure contact details, registration forms, surveys and other relevant evaluation tools are completed and uploaded to our systems (CRM, Google Sheets, etc.) after workshops, activities, and other ad hoc events.

Being the go-to friendly face for our participants and partner organisations 

You will be the first point of contact for our general inbox, responding to queries, ensuring that new details are added to the database and actions are sent to the relevant member of staff. Your efficient, thoughtful, professional approach will build trust and support the development of close working relationships with our stakeholders.

Ensuring the Programmes Team and partners are workshop ready

Liaising with the Programme Manager and Senior Programme Manager you will make sure our workshop leads have the materials, equipment and details they need to run high quality sessions. You will send out emails and text reminders to facilitators, schools and schemes for upcoming workshops.

Communication and information support

You will support our communications as directed by the Fundraising and Communications Lead. Supporting InCommon’s events, managing correspondence with event attendees, procuring event materials, equipment and resources to ensure a high standard of delivery. You will foster good communications throughout the charity, with Trustees, partners and with relevant external agencies and funders.

Managing the InCommon Office

You will be responsible for making sure the office runs smoothly and have responsibility for health and safety, including fire safety.

Managing the delivery of up to 10 intergenerational projects in Greater London, and supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Partnerships Lead with the design of our intergenerational projects through training, resources and events.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading intergenerational Community and Social Action projects based in London

You will be leading all elements of the design, delivery and evaluation of up to 10 intergenerational projects, for our in person workshops. You’ll bring energy and confidence into the room whilst sensitively considering and accommodating the different needs of the participants, both younger (age groups spanning 7-17 years) and older.

Taking ownership of programme design and development

Liaising with the Senior Programme Manager, you will own specific elements of our programme development, working with participants to generate innovative ideas that enhance social inclusion. You will independently analyse feedback and proactively propose adaptations to ensure our programmes remain fresh, accessible and impactful for all age groups. You will make confident recommendations on programme improvements that advance InCommon’s charitable objects.

Designing activities to be used by different projects across the UK 

You’ll be responsible for designing and sharing high quality activities and resources that can be used by other intergenerational projects in different parts of the country. You’ll involve younger and older people through co-design approaches, and draw these ideas together into beautiful, accessible resources to share.

Developing the InCommon events programme

Collaborating with the communications team, you’ll use your excellent facilitation and presentation skills to design and manage our events programme, specifically our annual Age Friendly Awards and other fundraising and awareness raising events.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and programme participants.  

You’ll lead on all of our communications, and drive engagement with key project stakeholders and participants, curating a wide variety of audiences with warmth, clarity and enthusiasm. Your efficient, thoughtful, professional approach will build trust and lead to close working relationships.

Contributing to the long term development of the our programmes 

You will work closely with our Strategic Management Team and the Senior Programme Manager to grow our work, proactively looking for development opportunities and ways to increase our impact and meet our charitable objectives.

The Senior Finance Manager ensures the smooth running of daily financial operations and supports timely, accurate reporting for the theatre. Working closely with the Finance Director (FD), the role involves advising on process improvements, preparing for the annual audit, and deputising for the FD when required. This position is ideal for someone progressing toward an advanced accountancy qualification, with previous experience in a similar role.

Our Second Home (OSH) is a youth movement for young people with refugee experience to build community, become leaders, and flourish in the place they now call home. Each year, thousands of displaced young people arrive in the UK facing isolation, disruption to education, and limited opportunities to belong. OSH exists to change that.

Our work begins with residential programmes, where young people form friendships, build confidence, and experience joy and belonging. From there, many go on to take part in our nationally certified Leadership Training Programme and our regular Youth Hubs in London and Bristol. With the right support, young people return as peer leaders themselves – shaping programmes, mentoring others, and helping to build a self-sustaining, youth-led movement.

We are now looking for a Communications & Content Producer to help bring this work to life. This role is about turning the energy, warmth and leadership that exists across OSH into compelling stories, images and short videos that deepen connection with supporters, recruit volunteers, and support fundraising and events.

The role (abridged - see attached job description)

The Communications & Content Producer is a freelance role, working 1.5 days per week, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for capturing and producing content from across OSH’s programmes – particularly youth hubs, leadership training days and residentials – and shaping it into consistent, values-aligned output across our digital channels.

This includes attending programmes to capture photos, short-form video and quotes; identifying moments that tell the story of OSH; and maintaining a simple, organised content library. You will lead delivery of a regular social media rhythm, with a particular focus on Instagram, including posts, reels and stories, as well as adapting content for other platforms where appropriate.

You will develop and run a small number of recurring content series, write clear and engaging captions in UK English, and design simple, on-brand graphics using tools such as Canva. The role also involves producing a monthly supporter email newsletter, keeping key website pages up to date, supporting fundraising pushes and events such as the Young Leaders’ Graduation Showcase, and helping amplify partners, funders and sector allies.

Alongside content creation, you will put in place light systems – a content calendar, simple co-creation processes for staff and volunteers, and basic analytics – to track what is working and refine output over time.

About You

You do not need a traditional communications background, but you should be excited by youth spaces, storytelling and social impact. You are proactive, organised and practical, with the confidence to work independently and make good use of limited hours.

You will have experience managing social media channels and creating content for an organisation, campaign or project. You are comfortable capturing and editing photos and short-form video on a smartphone, writing clearly and concisely in UK English, and adapting tone for different platforms including Instagram, email and LinkedIn. You care about quality, but you are not precious – you get content made.

Crucially, you are confident working in youth and community settings, committed to safeguarding and consent, and thoughtful about how young people are represented. You build trust easily, encourage others to contribute ideas and content, and understand the importance of protecting dignity as well as telling a strong story.

Experience working or volunteering in youth, refugee or grassroots community settings is highly valued. Alignment with OSH’s values – young people at the centre, acting with not for, leadership, and freedom and acceptance – is essential.
