We are looking for a proactive and organised Administrative Support Officer to help keep MaidEnergy running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on role covering day-to-day administration, communications, finance and governance support, and IT coordination. You will work closely with our Project Coordinators and Directors, and your contribution will be central to the organisation’s effectiveness.
MaidEnergy is a community-owned renewable energy co-operative working across Maidenhead, Windsor, Egham, Staines, and the surrounding area. Founded in 2010, our mission is to cut carbon emissions and enable community ownership of locally generated renewable energy.
Since our first solar installation in 2015, our 250+ members have invested over £900,000, funding seven solar PV installations and one ground source heat pump, saving 605 tonnes of CO2, and supplying 2,448 MWh of clean energy to local schools, leisure centres, and community hubs.
We are a Community Benefit Society, which means we are democratically run with an asset lock to preserve our energy infrastructure for the benefit of the community. Profits are reinvested into new projects and community action. We are part of a growing national movement putting energy in the hands of communities.
The role is largely self-directed. You will be trusted to manage your own time and priorities, with guidance from and coordination with the team as needed.
For the right candidate, there is scope to grow beyond the core admin function. We are open to someone who wants to get involved in project-specific and strategic work, or to serve as an extra pair of eyes on work produced by the project coordinators. This is not a requirement of the role, but an opportunity we would welcome.
Please provide a covering letter explaining why you are interested in the post and how you meet the person specification.
We will shortlist after the closing date and expect to interview on Tuesday 11th August or am Wednesday 12th August. Please indicate your availability on those dates.
MaidEnergy aims to make the future renewable, providing clean energy, locally owned.

About Us
NCT is the national charity for pregnancy, birth, infant feeding and early parenthood.
Our vision is simple: a society where everyone who becomes a parent feels confident, connected and safe.
Through our For Every Parent strategy, we're working to make that vision a reality. We support parents with trusted information, practical help, local communities and a stronger voice in the issues that matter to families.
For 70 years, we've been by parents' sides through the excitement, uncertainty, wonder and challenges of becoming a parent. Today, our volunteers contribute more than 70,000 hours of community service each year, helping parents build friendships, find support and feel less alone.
We educate and empower parents with evidence-based information and support. We advocate and act by listening to parents' experiences, raising their voices and campaigning for change. No judgement. No exceptions.
About the role

Working closely with colleagues across Parent Services, Fundraising, Digital Product and the wider organisation, you’ll make sure marketing plans are clearly connected to the outcomes that matter - from first awareness through to booking a course and beyond.

You won’t wait for everything to be perfect before making progress, but you’ll have the judgement to know where quality, consistency and risk need careful attention.
Alongside this, you’ll be a collaborative and inclusive leader who enjoys working across an organisation, building strong relationships and helping others see how marketing can support shared goals.

Confidence in engaging in new business research, prospecting, initial meetings and pitches is a must, as you will be responsible for growing our small pipeline of supporters and warm prospects into a long-term income stream.
This is essential to Caudwell Youth’s future sustainability, with corporate partnerships and major donor income currently making up 30% of Caudwell Youth’s annual fundraising income (forecast to be around £450,000 this year).
Our ambition is to increase this revenue stream by around 50% to over £800,000 by 2030, in order to support more at-risk young people from across the UK, as set out in our recently launched strategy, Going National.
This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to drive high value growth and be a key part of Caudwell Youth’s upward trajectory, working within a small but dynamic fundraising team. It offers significant opportunity to shape and lead this area of fundraising as it grows.
You will be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts of four, five and six figure gifts, familiarity with managing corporate partnerships and evidence of growing and developing new pipelines and revenue streams.
You will own a significant portion of this income stream, with responsibility for securing new high-value relationships and growing existing supporters.
