Single Homeless Project (SHP) and Islington Council are proud to introduce St. John’s Mansions - a brand-new, purpose-built accommodation service that will provide safe, high-quality housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and facing multiple exclusion. This innovative project is backed by the GLA’s Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP), and represents a bold step forward in tackling homelessness across North London. SHP are building a dynamic, compassionate, and forward-thinking team to bring this vision to life.
St. John’s Mansions will offer 19 beautifully finished self-contained studio flats, designed to support residents in their journey from rough sleeping and emergency accommodation to independent living. With a stay of up to 24 months, residents will receive tailored, high-intensity support to help them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive independently.
The service will operate 24/7, with a welcoming reception and dedicated staff & clients spaces to enable both structured interventions and spontaneous, meaningful engagement. SHP will be working not only within Islington but in partnership with five North London boroughs - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Westminster. You’ll hold a caseload of clients and take the lead on delivering person centred, strengths based support that is grounded in PIE and trauma informed approaches. This includes completing holistic assessments, co-producing support plans and risk management plans, and working consistently towards move on goals. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the service, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to maintain a safe, well managed environment, respond to emerging needs, and ensure each client receives coordinated, high quality support that supports their journey into independent living.

About the role:
As an IDVA you will:-
- Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met by supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
- Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
- Promote the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support
You will need:
- Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
- An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- A good understanding of Housing Law to be able to provide up to date advice and information on housing related needs
- Strong communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
- An understanding of commitment to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation and integration of HR and Payroll systems. Working within our Change and Transformation team, you will partner closely with the People and Culture Directorate to deliver our HRIS (Human Resource Information System) project in a way that is technically robust, people centred and operationally sustainable.

What you’ll do
As a Later Living Community Manager, you will be the key point of contact for residents, providing practical assistance and managing their expectations. You will assess residents’ needs, signpost to specialist services, and identify safeguarding concerns where necessary. You will oversee tenancy sign-ups, support new residents, and maintain accurate case management records. The role involves monitoring repairs and maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, including fire safety. You will also foster a sense of community by organising activities that promote wellbeing and engagement, while line-managing a Domestic Assistant/Premises Assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Covering other communities when required and attending training will also form part of your responsibilities.
What you’ll need
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults and knowledge of health and social care issues in a residential setting
- Experience conducting risk assessments and managing housing-related tasks, including reporting repairs and health and safety

About the role
The Classes and Events Co-ordinator will be responsible for the effective operational management, development and promotion of the Centre’s classes, courses and related events.
This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity not only to ensure the smooth day-to-day delivery of an already thriving programme, but also to help shape its future development. The postholder will play a key role in supporting service growth, broadening participation, diversifying the range of classes on offer and strengthening the Centre’s reach within the community.
The position requires a unique combination of organisational excellence, creativity and enterprise. The ideal candidate will be efficient and detail-focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside the ability to develop engaging written content for promotion and engagement. The successful candidate will be as comfortable with customer service and Front-of-House support as they are with administration, programme coordination, Systems Management, line management and team recruitment. The Senior Research Officer reports to the Deputy Director of Research, Evaluation and Learning and
plays an essential role in supporting technical, strategic, operational, financial, and other aspects of
