Alliance Publishing Trust (APT) aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas among people in philanthropy working for social change. We aspire to contribute to building an effective, accountable and thriving philanthropy field by being a ‘critical friend’ to philanthropy worldwide.

To do this we produce Alliance magazine, the leading quarterly publication for philanthropy and social investment worldwide and respected in the sector for thirty years. Each issue provides a special in-depth feature on a key aspect of philanthropy and social investment, with contributors from around the world and expert guest editors as well as interviews, news and book reviews.

We also produce over 700 items of digital content per year: providing premium interviews and articles published exclusively every Tuesday; daily free-to-read news, conference reports and a space for thinking, debate and peer exchange among philanthropy practitioners worldwide; weekly coverage of climate and gender philanthropy, monthly columns and more. In addition to written content, we convene 24 events a year to discuss the latest topics in philanthropy with speakers and attendees across the globe. 

With a core staff team based in London, valued freelance support and a team of representatives around the world, we work with the leading organisations and practitioners worldwide to deliver our charitable mission. Opportunity

As Alliance celebrates its 30th anniversary we are currently seeking a curious, motivated and collaborative individual to join us in the new role of Director of Philanthropy Knowledge. This externally-facing senior role would suit experienced candidates with a passionate interest in philanthropy and with a truly global mindset. Candidates should be eager to both learn about and examine philanthropic giving in all forms and in all contexts.

Building on the strong position of the organisation you will play a key role in shaping the organisational strategy and direction  in the years ahead through the knowledge and insights you will develop and maintain. To excel in this role, you will need to be able to forge positive professional relationships with senior leaders, both at large global institutions and small grassroots organisations.

Summary of main duties and responsibilities

The Director of Philanthropy Knowledge’s principal responsibilities are to keep up-to-date with the developments of the global philanthropy sector; be a proactive knowledge resource for the editorial team; build and maintain a strong network of relationships with key individuals and organisations on every continent; and to work with the Executive Director on generating philanthropic funding and support in line with APT’s strategy.

Knowledge

• Develop expansive knowledge of the global philanthropy sector, the people and organisations in that space, and to keep up with the latest trends and developments
• Maintain this knowledge through reading, research and global event attendance
• Ensure that this knowledge is built on hearing from a broad range of diverse voices and perspectives
• Share this knowledge with the in-house editorial team to help shape the editorial strategy, the publication’s understanding of the sector, and the Alliance event programme
• Share this knowledge with the sector through commentary including written contributions for Alliance and speaking at sector events

Relationship building

• Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with key individuals and organisations on every continent
• Be confident and comfortable to meet with the senior leaders of the sector to learn about their work.
• Be able to connect with leaders from a variety of cultures and contexts
• Attend relevant worldwide conferences and events to connect with key individuals and look for opportunities for how they may contribute towards Alliance’s mission. Philanthropic funding & support

• Steward existing relationships with key core funders and sponsors of Alliance
• Ensure grant requirements are positively delivered in good time
• Work with the Executive Director to identify and approach potential funders – both core and project - and sponsors of Alliance
• Ensure that APT’s philanthropic support grows in line with APT’s fundraising goals to match its strategy and plans

General

• Manage a personal travel budget  to support the three core areas above
• Meet staff regularly to ensure seamless input into editorial and organisational plans
• Be an active team member, contributing ideas to the long-term development of Alliance
• Work on required tasks relating to any other APT projects

Person specification

Frontline has achieved significant growth and impact in our first 11 years, and we are now recruiting a director to lead on ensuring our culture, operational and financial infrastructure enable us to continue to grow and drive change for children and families.

The post holder will be part of Rights of Women’s Family Law team and will play a key role in delivering the organisation’s core services to women affected by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG).

The post holder will provide specialist legal advice through Rights of Women’s telephone advice lines, contribute to the delivery of training, and support the development of accessible legal information through publications and other resources. They will also support survivor engagement and contribute to Rights of Women’s policy work, helping to drive systemic change for women’s rights.

The role will also involve contributing to Rights of Women’s Family Justice and Domestic Abuse Partnership work, which brings together local professionals to strengthen the family justice system for survivors of domestic abuse. This will involve occasional travel to local areas.

The Legal Officer will play a leading role in maintaining and developing Rights of Women’s online peer-to-peer forum, which builds the capacity of professionals supporting women survivors. This includes supporting the online community, producing legally accurate and relevant public-facing content in response to queries and emerging themes, and contributing to a regular online newsletter.

Alongside other Legal Officers, the post holder may share responsibility for supporting, training and developing Rights of Women’s team of over 50 remote legal advice volunteers.

You will lead and manage Individual Giving income streams and our Community fundraising programme; Develop and implement supporter journeys, acquisition/retention plans, Individual Giving campaigns like the Big Give Christmas Challenge (including writing, fulfilment, and mailing). About this Internship

The Youth-Led Digital Campaigns Internship role is a twelve-month paid internship beginning in March 2026.

The Jack Petchey Internship development programme is designed for young people who are leaving further or higher education and starting out in the youth/charity sector - or young people who are looking to transfer into, or take their next career step in, the youth/charity sector.

The funding provides support to young people in London and Essex. We would therefore expect applicants to have a strong connection with London and ideally be currently living in or close to Croydon where our work is located.

Main purpose of this role:

We are looking for someone creative, confident and passionate about empowering young people. You will play a hands-on role in both the delivery and development of digital and media-based opportunities for young people, while helping to shape and deliver Reaching Higher’s youth-led digital fundraising and media strategy.

This internship will give you the chance to gain valuable experience across media, marketing, and youth work-alongside training, mentoring, and networking opportunities with other interns from youth organisations across London and Essex.

Youth Delivery Mentoring Officer

The role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Database and Insights Officer to take ownership of myaware’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) and ensure our database is accurate, compliant, and fully utilised across the organisation.

This is a pivotal role, acting as the main point of contact for all internal CRM users and our external CRM system provider. As a database super user, you will manage system settings, user access, data integrity and development, while providing expert support, guidance and training to colleagues.

Working closely with the CEO, the myaware management team and colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure the CRM system supports fundraising, communications, campaigns and wider organisational insight. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for system improvement, upgrades and best practice. The role will require occasional working at Derby HQ and travel for meetings.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a confident and detail-oriented CRM professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.

You will be highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership of a complex database system. You enjoy supporting others, improving processes and using data to make a meaningful impact.

 You will ideally have:

• Proven experience managing a CRM system, ideally Raiser’s Edge or a similar database.
• Strong understanding of database administration, data quality and compliance.
• Experience acting as a system super user, including managing users and system settings.
• The ability to train and support colleagues with varying levels of technical confidence.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. Human Resources Manager (maternity cover)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 / year

Location: Our offices are in Toynbee Hall, East London, but we welcome applicants from across the UK who do not wish to relocate. You should be willing to travel to our London office for team and project meetings up to six times per year. Project related travel costs will be reimbursed

About you

We are recruiting an experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong track record of providing strategic HR leadership at a senior level, ideally within the charity or social impact sectors. You should have extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, and organisational development, with the ability to advise senior leaders and resolve complex HR issues with discretion and professionalism.

This role would suit a motivated self-starter with a passion for the work we do, someone who can work independently while also influencing and collaborating with senior teams and trustees. You will have a deep understanding of inclusive recruitment, employment law, payroll, pensions, and HR systems.

You should be a proactive, CIPD Level 7-qualified professional (or equivalent senior-level experience) with the ability to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of HR practice. Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and the ability to turn people insights into actionable organisational improvements are essential.

The Programme Director, Media and Communications leads on the design, development and implementation of communication strategies and plans to advance Humane World for Animals UK’s strategic priorities with regard to campaigns, brand-building and fundraising. The role creates, implements and measures the success of a comprehensive communications programme that will aim to significantly enhance the organisation’s image and position within the UK animal protection space.

Key areas of responsibility

1. Develop and execute communications strategies for Humane World for Animals UK’s key campaigns and fundraising requirements.

2. Measure and track communications impact, reach and effectiveness, reporting against agreed targets.

3. Manage, maintain and grow productive relationships with a range of journalists with a goal of securing prominent national media coverage.

4. Oversee the organisation’s social media channels to promote campaigns, support fundraising and engage meaningfully with UK supporters and political stakeholders.

5. Serve as chief content reviewer to ensure communications materials adhere to policy, factual accuracy and visual brand guidelines.

6. Lead on designing reputational risk management mitigation strategies.

7. Implement UK specific brand strategies with the aim of increasing and measuring brand awareness in the UK market.

8. Lead on celebrity recruitment and stewardship.

9. Manage sourcing and contracting relationships with communications / PR agencies and databases to ensure consistently high-quality and value for money communications outputs.

10. Manage the communications and media budget, including regular reporting.

About you

Our successful candidate will be confident, creative and positive with a proven track in media and communications roles at a senior level. A proactive self-starter, you will have demonstrable experience of managing and developing strong, focused and ambitious teams, and a solution-focused approach to overcoming obstacles. You will have experience of building high quality media and communication strategies and plans and delivering these in a fast-paced environment. You will have ambition and drive for creating positive change for animal welfare; a willingness to constantly learn and develop the most impactful, cost-effective communications for our target audiences; and your work will be solidly underpinned by regular evaluation of progress and impact with a view to further improving strategies.

Are you an experienced Public Affairs professional with a passion for dogs?

We’re looking for a Public Affairs Officer to support the important work we do to ensure policy makers consider dog welfare in their decision making.

What does this role do?

As Public Affairs Officer, you’ll:

• contribute to the delivery of our ambitious public affairs programme across Westminster and Whitehall, the devolved administrations and in the EU,
• support and occasionally lead on the organisation and coordination of political events, meetings, and project visits, as part of our programme of engagement with policy makers,
• support the management of the Pet Advertising Advisory Group (PAAG) and the EU Dog & Cat Alliance,
• establish and maintain positive relationships with key external stakeholders, including parliamentarians and civil servants.

Please note, this role is available as a fixed term contract until January 2027. Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 9th February 2026, and will take place on Teams.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Audit Data Analyst to join our Research and Quality Improvement Directorate, which promotes evidence-based practice and improves health outcomes for children. This is an exciting opportunity to work on national audit programmes that shape paediatric care across the UK.

Reporting to the Project Manager (Audits), you will manage complex healthcare datasets, lead on data analysis using R/R Studio, and produce high-quality outputs for clinicians, commissioners, and policy makers. You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, reproducible analytical pipelines and ensuring data integrity and security throughout the audit lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing secure handling and analysis of complex audit datasets, ensuring compliance with data governance and protection requirements.
• Developing reproducible analytical pipelines to underpin audit outputs and support cross-audit working.
• Analysing large datasets using R/R Studio, producing results at unit, ICB, regional and national levels, and identifying trends and outliers.
• Maintaining robust data management processes within GitHub environments for version control and collaboration.
• Producing reports and data outputs for diverse audiences, including clinicians, commissioners, regulators, and patient stakeholders.
• Acting as a point of contact for technical and data-related queries from those submitting data for analysis.
• Planning analytical processes for upcoming projects and contributing to departmental reports, including interpretation and editorial content.
• Supporting the development and enhancement of data capture software and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in social or medical science, statistics, or another numerate discipline.
• Proven experience using R/R Studio (or VS Code) for data cleaning, aggregation, recoding, merging, and advanced analysis (including regression).
• Experience producing high-quality written reports and documentation for varied audiences.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and version control, including experience with GitHub.
• Ability to manage and interrogate large, complex datasets and apply appropriate statistical methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals.
• High level of numeracy, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

• Experience with Stata, SQL, or Python, and advanced Excel functions.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Quarto for data visualisation and reporting.
• Experience developing data export and dashboard reporting functions.
• Understanding of NHS organisational structures and experience preparing data for commissioners and regulators.
