Role Purpose

This role is focused on maximising comms-based engagement across the GDI Hub’s portfolio, supporting GDI Hub’s growing outreach across project-based deliverables and organisational comms channels (e.g. social media, websites, content generation).

The post holder will work closely across GDI Hub comms team to support delivery across the organisational portfolio – with a focus on key regular outputs, reactive queries and organisational communications. This role will involve both administrative tasks, and creative content generation, at an anticipated volume of 50% per area.

We are looking for someone with strong administrative, communications and digital skills, with a passion for building impact and reach. The candidate will need the experience to deliver public facing comms outputs, while also building personable relationships. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential, as it a streamlined, can-do approach.

Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Your role involves crafting compelling funding applications and reports, creating an ambitious fundraising strategy, applying for and securing large multi-year grants from new and existing donors, ensuring exemplary donor stewardship, and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a specific emphasis on Trusts and Foundations & corporate fundraising, to ensure a steady pipeline of funding opportunities. Coordinate with team members to meet fundraising targets effectively and manage donation pipelines working with CEO and Finance manager to ensure the pipeline matches the cashflow.

• Directly oversee and support your team members, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching to ensure both individual and team objectives are achieved. (currently the team is 3)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, including Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and Statutory bodies, through proactive engagement and personalized stewardship.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop persuasive proposals and impactful reports that effectively communicate Village Water’s mission and achievements.

• Plan and implement annual fundraising campaigns.

• Work closely with monitoring and finance teams to accurately assess impact and budgetary needs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors.

StandOut Coach (based in prison)

As a StandOut Coach, you will be attached to one of the three London male prisons we partner with but can expect to work in all of them. You will work alongside a Lead Coach to deliver the StandOut Programme. The programme is delivered in two parts: first an intensive group course in prison, followed by ongoing support of participants whilst they wait for release, through one-to-one coaching and workshops.

You will be key to StandOut’s unique through-the-gate approach, supporting men as they prepare for release and working closely with the Community Team as they support people to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison. 

This role would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained either working in prison, through personal experience or by a range of work outside prison.

This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT+ children and young people who have experienced sexual violence. Your work will enable LGBT+ young people to feel supported, heard, and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.

You will work directly with LGBT+ children and young people, offering them a safe space to talk and think through their options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of sexual violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety, and access to other services to enable young survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.

You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT+ people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT+ young survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT+ young people facing abuse and violence.

- Keep young victims informed about their case progress in line with the Victims Code
- Liaise with the relevant professionals to ensure that appropriate measures are in place that support the needs of young victims before and during trial.
- Provide support post-trial if required.
- Provide information on the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme to young victims and/or their families.
- Communicate with other agencies and organisations, particularly police, but also potentially social care, school safeguarding teams, housing teams and other support organisations to advocate for clients’ needs and wishes

About the role
We are seeking a Partnership Manager experienced in winning, developing and managing funding relationships (trust and foundations, corporate and paid delivery partnerships). 
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation, HFTF’s Partnership Manager will be an integral part of the Fundraising team responsible for growing and managing our partnerships, driving the charity forward, increasing impact, securing increasing and sustainable funding and engaging increasingly wider and more diverse segments of society, in our work - equipping citizens across the UK with the tools they need to have effective and impactful conversations with their local politicians on climate change and nature.

Community Coach

As a member of the Community Team, you will provide vital support to people who have completed our course in prison and are now in the community working to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison.

This is an exciting time to join our Community Team as we look to broaden and deepen the support we offer participants as they leave prison. You will contribute to the employee life cycle by providing administrative support to the HR team, including supporting with onboarding and offboarding of employees and will also deliver effective day to day facilities' support in respect of the London office. This will include, setting up of meetings, rooms and refreshments, being the point of contact for deliveries and outbound post and parcels, checking and maintaining office supplies/ equipment and general ad hoc duties as may reasonably be requested.

To be considered for this role, you will have previous HR and facilities experience, ideally with a within a charity or similar setting. This is a hands-on role, and they are looking for candidates who are able to work independently on your own initiative, demonstrate effective organisational skills and are flexible, responsive and responsible. Candidates that have experience updating HR toolkit are encouraged to apply, however this is not essential.

Please note, this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, 4 days per week on site, at their offices, based in Vauxhall, with the option of working from home, 1 day per week (either a Monday or Friday)

As Senior Donor Experience Officer for transformational gifts you’ll play a key role in ensuring our most generous donors receive a best-in-class donor experience by:

• Using your strong project management skills to plan, design and deliver bespoke donor experience activity for a portfolio of donors giving £1 million+ to the University. 
• Ensuring the effective management of our largest gifts – liaising with colleagues across the University, monitoring progress against milestones, identifying and mitigating risks, and coordinating gift boards or groups.
• Using your creativity and knowledge of best practice to develop inspiring stewardship plans that deepen donors’ relationship with us.
• Building strong working relationships with beneficiary teams across the University. 

As Senior Donor Experience Office for regular and major gifts, you’ll manage a sector-leading programme of creative and strategic donor experience activity by:

• Planning and delivering supporter journeys for regular and major donors giving to a range of priority areas.
• Managing a small team (currently two Donor Experience Officers) to deliver a calendar of one-to-many, one-to-some and one-to-one touchpoints.
• Working closely with colleagues leading on key income streams to ensure donor experience activity supports acquisition and retention goals.
• Ensuring that the right processes and systems are in place to engage beneficiaries in the donor experience, allocate and spend donor funds effectively, and deliver timely and effective stewardship.

What you’ll bring to the role:

· Experience designing and delivering a first-class donor experience.

· Great project management skills, with the ability to keep multiple workstreams on track.

· A knack for building productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

· The creativity and ambition to ‘surprise and delight’ our supporters. 

This role will be hybrid, with presence on-site in our Manchester office at least two days per week. You’ll receive a generous holiday allowance, and have access to the USS pension scheme.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for implementing the charity’s Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory fundraising programmes (target of £1.3m in 2024).

You will manage a team of two with the support from the Head of Fundraising, with whom you will work closely with to develop a series of targeted multi-channelled appeals and campaigns to engage with existing supporters and to attract, recruit and retain new ones.

You will be confident in handling and interrogating data, utilising your experience to deliver insight led creative campaigns across several channels. You will use data to test and learn through the delivery of persuasive and compelling appeals and campaigns - aiming to grow supporter loyalty and inspire repeat donations.

The delivery of exceptional supporter care and stewardship is paramount in this role, the post holder will require excellent communication skills to help deepen engagement strategies with supporters and work with an ambitious, positive, and creative approach - with experience in working collaboratively organisation wide.

Key responsibilities

Planning and implementation Support the Head of Fundraising to plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the supporter donor journey.

• Develop new individual giving appeals and campaigns with a focus on direct marketing across various channels to engage with new and existing supporters to generate new income.

• Working with the communications team to design a multi-channelled approach to maximise the reach to the appropriate audiences.

• Develop the required tools and mechanisms to ensure ease of engagement.

• Design and implement a stewardship programme that cultivates long term support across all fundraising streams.

• Work across teams to raise the profile of the charity and its appeals and fundraising activities.

Donor data analysis and segmentation Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM to:

• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.

• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

• Manage a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis.

• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.

• Maximise gift aid opportunities.
