This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician experienced in child mental health to deliver our ‘Clinical Practice in Context’ module, which forms part of the curriculum for our two-year full-time MSc programme in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice and consists of 2.5 hours of weekly lectures/seminars throughout Term 1 (usually 10 weeks in October-December). The MSc programme has an intake of around 18-20 students per year from a range of diverse and international backgrounds. In their second year, students have an opportunity to apply their clinical skills by undertaking a placement within a child and adolescent mental health setting, while continuing to attend lectures and seminars as well as conducting a clinically based research project. The Module Lead will work alongside the wider programme team, including the Programme Director, Tutors and other Module Leads. The successful candidate will have significant clinical experience working in child and adolescent mental health settings and experience of teaching/training adults. The ability to work flexibly and autonomously is essential to successfully deliver the module. The Salvation Army are partnering with the University of Stirling via the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research to deliver a trial for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This unique and innovative social care trial will examine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a Peer Navigator/Peer Support Intervention for people experiencing homelessness and problems with substance use. We are now looking for a Peer Navigator (lived experience practitioner) within our Homelessness service to deliver a relationship-based intervention to those experiencing drug and alcohol problems and homelessness, providing both practical and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities: The role of Peer Navigator (Lived Experience Practitioner) is fundamental to The Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate. You will line manage 3 volunteer managers, based in St Judes and Bedminster in Bristol and in Sisna Park in Plymouth, as well as 2 employability leads based in Bedminster and inner city Bristol, and any future employability staff based din Plymouth.

The role involves being the first point of contact for a wide range of enquirers and supporters, assisting with the implementation of a regular giving strategy and supporting donor communications and retention.  Day to day task will include ensuring accurate records on the Development database, supporting the work of Alumni with a range of events and promoting the work of the Development Office with the use of social media.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively nurture relationships with a range of external contacts.   

This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organised, has proven ICT skills ideally with some knowledge of CRM systems, and is willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work.  Previous experience of working in fundraising ideally within the education or charity sector would be an advantage.

Zen Fundraising is a well-established face-to-face fundraising company working with many national and international charity partners around the UK.

Zen are currently seeking to employ a training officer who will bring enthusiasm, knowledge, and support to the journeys of our fundraisers, whether they’re taking their first steps with us, or honing their skills to be the best they can be!

If you have at least six month’s experience in a face-to-face fundraising, or coaching role, we would love to hear from you.

This training operates mostly over zoom, so we are interested in speaking to candidates who are tech literate, know how to capture the focus of a crowd, and are ready to find and implement new ways of making sure training stays engaging in the digital age, using creative training methods or software tools.

You will also have the opportunity to bring these training sessions to life in person, working with our teams from various regions, working with varied campaigns, team cultures and fundraising styles, while getting to travel all over the UK.

As Zen’s training officer you will be responsible for:

· Holding weekly compliance training, teaching the fundamentals of the industry, the rules by which fundraising works, and why they are so important.

· Attending charity training sessions with charity clients, and replicating these sessions with teams, as well as helping individuals develop dialogues pitching these charities to prospective donors.

· Producing and delivering skills-based training for our internal teams, to help them maximise their potential.

· Produce and deliver refresher trainings addressing key issues with individuals and teams.

· Accurate and regular upkeep of training records
