Position Overview:
The social media Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Musana’s online presence by leading creative initiatives, setting up digital fundraisers, collaborating with global teams, and managing our social media channels. Lead the social media strategy to build it out further and optimise as we go, which includes:

Creative Leadership:
● Lead creative development from the brand side with the content creation team, era92, based in Kampala, Uganda.
● Collaborate with the U.K. Director and U.S. Marketing Director to ensure all social media concepts are relevant, engaging, and aligned with Musana’s goals.
● Stay informed about events, activities, programs, and construction projects happening across Musana locations to share timely and relevant content.
● Build content will capture the attention of our audience and drive engagement. Work closely with internal and external teams to create content that captivates our audience within the first few seconds of viewing.
● Create campaigns, and own start to finish

○ Fundraising campaigns through live streaming, peer-to-peer fundraising, host virtual events, strategic ways to share blog content that pivots content into a fundraising effort etc.

Brand Guidelines & Consistency:

● Engage with audiences and communities across social media platforms, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
● Initiate and participate in conversations with thought leaders, organisations, and key stakeholders to build relationships and enhance Musana’s online presence.
Reporting & Analytics:
● Track social media metrics and insights, providing detailed reports that outline success rates, trends, and areas for improvement.
● Track and report user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics.
● Use data-driven insights to refine social media strategies and improve future campaigns.
Qualifications:

Who we are looking for
Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Communications Officer, Social Media and Digital, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.
You will need to be creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. What you will do
You’ll lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, as well as coordinating and providing advice on a range of other communications projects – covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.
Your role will include:
- Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement.
- Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.
- Project management: you will be the main point of contact for specific clients and projects, gathering requests for new products and services, and coordinating content development and graphic design work with other team members to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. This may lead to overseas trips for some clients.
- Managing Scriptoria’s social media and website: you will lead Scriptoria’s external social media marketing and ensure our website and digital landscape remains dynamic and up to date. You will test and advise the team on new tools or programs.
- Business development as part of the team: you will explain our work to potential new clients, showcase our many successful projects, increase the amount of digital work flowing into the company, and so ensure that Scriptoria’s Communications team moves from strength to strength.
Working at Scriptoria
This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.
Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30; 40 hours/week). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients. Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with other team members to share skills and exchange ideas.
You will have 25 days of annual leave per year, plus UK public holidays.
Key skills and experience required
- A 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
- A minimum of five years’ work experience in a communications role.
- Extensive knowledge and use of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.), marketing platforms (e.g. for newsletters) and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
- Experience using a range of tools to create digital communications materials (e.g. Canva and video editing software; Illustrator and Premier Pro would be an advantage) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
- Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
- Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

The role
Cruse Bereavement Support is a charity providing bereavement information and support to grieving people across the UK. We are looking for an organised and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to join our small marcomms team and help increase the reach and engagement of our digital marketing and communications channels.
You will be responsible for helping us reach more bereaved people, volunteers and supporters with our content and digital products. The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name and continues to be a pioneer in reducing the risk and prevalence of abuse, aggression and violence - with a specific focus on stalking and harassment – through education, campaigning and support.
You will be working for a growing charity that delivers high value impact to those we train, those we educate, those we support and to the general public through our campaigning and policy work. Our Stalking Helpline offers support and advice to thousands of victims of stalking every year, while our bespoke advocacy teams work closely with partners and stakeholders across the Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) sector, the criminal justice system, and both statutory and non-statutory services to ensure our clients can live a live free from abuse and fear.

- been responsible for training over one million lone and frontline workers across all sectors in personal safety;

- supported over 75,000 victims and survivors of stalking since the inception of our National Stalking Helpline and stalking advocacy service.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a new role in the organisation that will work in the Policy and Campaigns Team but create impact across all of our work. The roleis responsible for supporting and developing our social media and our awareness raising activity in communities across the UK. You will be pivotal in promoting the Trust's mission and enhancing our online presence. About the role:
The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. The role is key in ensuring that the public, partners, stakeholders and our people are informed and engaged with the work of Drinkaware.
The key areas of responsibility are:
· Planning, implementing and evaluating Drinkaware’s media and communications activities
· Raising Drinkaware’s profile and voice in the media
· Working across the organisation to create engaging communications

· Supporting the Head of Media and the Senior Leadership Team in managing reputational risk
Supporting Social Media & Content Officer in developing and growing our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn).
· Manage Drinkaware’s press office, responding to enquiries, maximising coverage, drafting media releases and providing an out-of-hours system on occasion.
· Manage key organisational communications related to Drinkaware’s positions, in conjunction with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and the Director of Evidence and Impact.
· Manage, review and update Drinkaware’s lines to take; its ‘boilerplate’ messages and its standard responses.
· Advise others on Drinkaware tone of voice and brand to help ensure all content leaving the organisation is on brand and enhances our reputation.
· Contribute to feeding media and strategic communications activity into the organisational planning process and overall plan.
· Contribute to key reference documents (organisational key messages; editorial guidelines etc)
· Deliver compelling content and plans to Drinkaware’s stakeholder audiences. Working with internal teams to target funders and other stakeholders including health professionals, police, local government and academics.
· Maximise our profile with B2B audiences via trade publications; social media and news outlets.
· Keep Drinkaware staff informed about Drinkaware coverage and other relevant coverage around alcohol and alcohol harm.
· Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders and journalists and build a positive network with media counterparts in Drinkaware partners and stakeholder organisations.
· Work with Drinkaware colleagues to maximise our communications’ reach and ensure we are working in an efficient and integrated way.
· Work with the Head of Media and Communications to develop Drinkaware’s reputation positively across all media, mitigating reputational risk and leading on crisis management

About you:
You will have a track record of working within a similar role. You will have experience in working in a press office, devising and delivering stories and coverage. As part of our highly skilled, passionate and creative Media & Communications team, you will help to plan, implement and evaluate Drinkaware’s media and communications activities to drive positive coverage and comment about the charity across the UK. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

With a local CPRE in every county, we work with communities, businesses and government to find positive and lasting ways to help the countryside thrive - today and for generations to come.
We are looking for an experienced media officer to help grow the influence of our small but effective press office. With a new government in power, this is a critical time for our countryside and an exciting time to join CPRE, the countryside charity. As media officer, you’ll help to deliver high-profile coverage of CPRE’s work as part of an impactful and expanding team.
You’ll work closely with our media manager and other colleagues across our Policy and Advocacy teams to help communicate CPRE’s key policy lines to the public via print and broadcast media. You’ll also be working with CPRE’s network of local groups to help shape their media relations activities.
Your day-to-day work might include:
