About the role
This is an exciting role with responsibility for both IT and Digital. You will actively implement new tools and platforms, oversee data protection compliance and cyber security, whilst developing effective policies and guidelines spanning our IT infrastructure. You will also take ownership of our digital strategy across all channels, driving service delivery and managing significant relationships, contracts and budgets. We will look to you to lead digital transformation and champion innovation, whilst delivering workshops and training sessions to diverse colleagues. In short, you will be the catalyst that gets the most from our online presence, our technology and our vendors and partners, ensuring best practice and value in everything you do.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working, with one day per week at our London office.
About you
Highly experienced as an IT thought leader and manager with technical experience, you will combine a strategic mindset with a truly hands-on approach. Developing strategy, as well as leading and managing IT and digital change projects should be second nature to you. Similarly, you will be experienced in mentoring teams and controlling websites, CMS platforms and integrated digital systems. A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline would be beneficial, alongside knowledge of data protection legislation, digital accessibility and inclusion, Squiz DXP, Azure, Intune and AWS. However your ability to communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues is just as important. Above all, you will bring everything it takes to get the most out of people, systems and budgets, with real passion for cutting-edge technology and the drive and determination to make things happen.

Queen’s Crescent Community Association (QCCA) runs one of the largest and most diverse older people’s services in Camden. We operate in the borough’s most deprived area and annually support around 300 people aged 55+ to live happier, healthier, more connected lives.

BACKGROUND
Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG).
OUR SERVICES
Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.
Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.
We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.
PRIMARY TASK:
The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.
The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. The post-holder is required to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of the culture and needs of minoritised communities in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.

Overview of Calan DVS:
Calan DVS is one of the largest domestic abuse charities in Wales and we are committed to working in partnership to end domestic violence and abuse. Our staff are passionate about what they do and deliver much needed services to support some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Our service was formed in 2012 as a result of a merger between Neath & Lliw Valley Women’s Aid and since 2012, other Women’s Aid organisations have also joined the group including Brecknock Women’s Aid, Bridgend Women’s Aid and Ammanford Women’s Aid.

At Calan DVS, our vision is to work towards safe and resilient communities free from domestic violence and abuse. The Lotus Project:
The Lotus Project is a new service within Calan DVS which has been co-produced with survivors and stakeholders. The new service has been implemented to support individuals who are accessing Calan Domestic Abuse services and who have also experienced Sexual Violence.
The service will operate from a trauma informed, strengths based perspective in order to ensure each survivor has consistent yet individualised support throughout their recovery journey.
Each survivor who accesses the service will have the opportunity to receive specialist support through our Sexual Violence Counselling service, tailor made group work program and one to one support. Survivors will have regular strength based goal setting sessions with their Sexual Violence Support Worker.
Consultations and collaborative working are at the heart of working in a trauma informed way, therefore the Lotus Project will continue to be developed alongside the support staff and survivors who access the service.
Purpose of the role:

To provide consistant, psychosocial, trauma informed support for survivors of sexual violence.

To ensure each survivor accessing The Lotus Project is informed and empowered on the ways in which to access therapeutic support after experiencing sexual violence.

To deliver sexual violence specific group work and one to one support.

To work in a multidisciplinary manner to ensure each survivor is linked with the appropriate external support services (such as ISVA services, SARC, substance use services)
Key Accountabilities:
Sexual Violence Support

To provide one to one emotional support for survivors of sexual violence who would like to access The Lotus Project.
-
From the point of receiving the referral, the SVSW will create a collaborative safety and support plan to help inform the person accessing the Lotus Project of what support is available to them either from the group work program, one to one support session, counselling or ongoing telephone support.
-
To link in with external agencies so that the survivor accessing the Lotus Project has access to a full range of support (for example, SARC, ISVA, Substance support, Sexual Health, GP).
-
To have a strengths based, trauma informed approach to working with survivors of sexual violence and to ensure that suvivors are at the center of their own recovery journey.
-
To work alongside the professional making the referral to ensure all risk and support needs are considered and actioned in a fair and consistent way.

To attend professional review meetings with other Calan practitioners who may be supporting the person accessing the Lotus Project.

To report any safeguarding concerns to their line manager and follow Calan’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.

To deliver online and in person sexual violence group work programmes (as appropriate).

To support delivery of group therapeutic activities such as yoga, self care, art therapy, creative writing, nature walks and document feedback.

To provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend the group work program, using the group work program as a structure for those support sessions.

To work alongside the person accessing the Lotus Project to dispel any rape myths, self-blame and pathologized attitudes towards sexual trauma.

To have regular case review meetings with their line manager and supervision sessions.

To empower and encourage those accessing the Lotus Project to sustain ongoing peer support groups.

To support those accessing the Lotus Project to understand techniques to cope with anxiety, flashbacks and other symptoms of trauma.

To explore areas of self care with those accessing the Lotus Project and encorperate this into each individuals safety and support plan.

To write supporting documents for GP’s or other relevant professionals so that the person accessing Lotus Project doesn’t have to retell their story.
Health and Safety

Are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to join our Kickstart Futures Service based in Sutton.
The Service provides floating key work support sessions to Care Leavers who predominantly entered the UK either as Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children or as Survivors of Human Trafficking, with an aim to improve their independence skills, community integration, self-confidence and mental health.
Location of the post:
You will be based in our Crystal Palace office (SE19 3BG) with the requirement to regularly visit our 7supported living accommodation sites located across Sutton and Croydon. Between visits, you have the option to work flexibly from our office and from home.
Hours:
29.6 hours across 4 days. Hours of work can be flexible to suit you, between the hours of 9am – 7pm. Occasional cover may be required on weekends to meet the needs of the service.
Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To manage all areas of service provision including all aspects of key performance indicators outlined by commissioners across contracts in different Local Authorities.
- To manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals by providing supervision, practice development sessions, team meetings, ongoing practice advice and monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of our recording policy.
- To provide professional support to staff team members as well as other Team Managers within the Positive Futures theme. This includes support and advice around safeguarding matters, analytical thinking and constant risk assessment.

Job Purpose

Our Peripatetic Team provide front-line support to Solace’s Advice, Community and Accommodation-based Services across London. Crisis Intervention Workers enable our services to deliver a consistent high standard of service.
The team was created in order to have trained, skilled staff ready to cover gaps in service and facilitate the continued smooth running of services, proactively supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. They are required to go into different teams and quickly establish themselves and provide support in times where staff teams may be struggling.
About the Role
In all services, peri workers provide nonjudgmental, confidential, and psychologically informed support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Typical tasks include risk assessment, safety planning, and working with survivors to develop individual support plans. Other roles require house management, outreach and health and safety tasks.
Peri workers have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across Solace’s services. Working across departments offers peri workers the ability to continually develop their knowledge, casework skills, advocacy skills, multi-agency working, and ability to manage and thrive in a changing environment.
The role will involve commuting to sites across London, and although hybrid working may be available in some projects it is not possible for all. Travel is taken into consideration when confirming placements, however you should be prepared for longer commutes.
This role in certain placements will require you to work a rota including weekend hours between 8am – 8pm.
