Founded in 1977, Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) is a registered charity (1067908) and accredited museum, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The Park is an established leading international destination for sculpture, inspiring everyone to enjoy and engage with art, nature, creativity, and our shared humanity. YSP presents work by world-renowned artists, including Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Damien Hirst and Elisabeth Frink. Since opening, YSP has worked with over 1,000 artists from more than 40 countries.

YSP is set within a Grade II listed 500-acre historic landscape, registered by Historic England for its special interest and national significance and featuring woods, lakes, gardens and parkland. Ninety sculptures are sited in the landscape, with additional changing exhibitions, displays and events across three galleries and in the open air.

Our mission is to showcase exceptional art, creating meaningful and enjoyable cultural and learning experiences for everyone in a singular environment. To deliver this each year we welcome over 230,000 visitors and work with over 40,000 learners, including teachers and students from 800 primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. Some participants will have their first art experience at YSP, and we provide the opportunity for young people to gain the nationally recognised Arts Award.

Overview of the Role

As YSP approaches its 50th anniversary it is at a pivotal moment in its history. The Trustees and Senior Leadership Team are developing proposals to secure the financial future of YSP for the next 50 years. The Head of Development will play a key part in realising that ambition by supporting a range of activities including fundraising for capital projects to nurture and grow our supporter base.

YSP is looking for an ambitious, experienced and organised individual with an excellent understanding of fundraising to play a central role in securing YSP’s future.

As Head of Development, you will work closely with Trustees, the Director and Senior Leadership Team (especially the Commercial Director, Head of Programme & Head of Estates and Projects). You will craft and execute an ambitious fundraising strategy that develops new income streams to fund our core mission while growing a pipeline of funding to help secure the long-term future of YSP. Through your leadership, specific targets and KPIs will be achieved on an annual basis.

This is a full-time role but there will be some flexibility for the right candidate, and in-line with YSP’s hybrid working policy you will be able to work 1 or 2 days off site.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead on our third party challenge events programme, delivering a portfolio of inspiring events through impactful acquisition campaigns and exceptional supporter experiences.

Working closely with the Head of Mass Participation, you’ll help shape the strategy for the third party events programme, identifying opportunities to drive growth and continuously improving how we work. Collaboration will be key, particularly with the Challenge Events Manager (DIY), to ensure the wider Challenge Events Team is aligned and working together effectively.

This role includes line management of the Challenge Events Executives responsible for delivering the third party programme. You’ll support the team in developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, alongside creating insight-led stewardship journeys across email, SMS and other communication platforms. You’ll also be responsible for developing the annual budget and ensuring close collaboration with colleagues across Fundraising and Engagement to drive income and boost supporter engagement.

A key part of the role involves recruiting, training and developing staff in line with Dementia UK’s policies, including regular supervision and annual appraisals to ensure high performance and growth.

We’re looking for someone with significant experience in delivering successful third party challenge events, including participant recruitment, supporter journey development and stewardship communications to meet income targets. You should be confident leading projects, directing and guiding team members to achieve shared goals and experienced in working with external agencies. A strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and the ability to use data, insight and market trends to identify new opportunities, is essential.

About the Service – Door of Hope (East London)

The Door of Hope Service provides support to women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets.  This includes journeying alongside women, whilst providing advocacy, information, emotional and practical support.  The service also has a strong team of around 15 volunteers, who deliver street outreach to women in Tower Hamlets on a Thursday morning and Friday night.

About the Role

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.

Our psychotherapy service for women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets, was borne from the recognition that many of these women would benefit from this style of support, when mainstream offers were not feasible or appropriate or women were denied access because of the multiple disadvantages they were experiencing. In the 18 months since the support has been provided, the positive impact on women and the psychological and behavioural change it has evoked, has been testament to the necessity in providing this service.

Based at our offices in Tower Hamlets, your role will be to provide women-centred, psychotherapeutic support for women with complex needs, either in- person, online and on the telephone.  You will, on occasion, be required to meet a woman in a local café, hostel or elsewhere in the community, to start forming relationships and trust, as well as small brief, interventions.

The role will be working alongside a small team of Door of Hope daytime support workers, and a service manager, who deliver an in-person support service, with women who sell sex in East London. You will work closely with our Door of Hope team, to manage risk around women, and to support her accessing appropriate support services in the Borough.

Within this role, we are seeking someone who is non-judgemental, compassionate and can see the strengths that each individual woman brings.  You will be able to work in a gender and trauma-informed way and will have a good awareness of the need and role of safeguarding policies and procedures. You will have experience of working with complex trauma, individuals who experience multiple disadvantage and be familiar with working in a multi-disciplinary manner to manage risks around women.  You will have a passion for supporting women and want to be part of increasing our positive reach and impact.

As the Adult Carers Activities Coordinator, you will directly deliver our leisure break activity and training programmes. • To recruit, train, support and manage volunteers and paid sessional staff to contribute to the delivery of a selection of the activities and workshops.
• To research and continually develop the activities and training programmes to ensure it is responsive to carers needs.
• To create promotional material to promote activities and training opportunities to carers registered with Richmond Carers Centre.
• To work with Adult Carers Support Team Leader to ensure activities are within budget, achieving targets and meeting the requirements of funders.

We are recruiting for a Peer Support Lead: 

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to increase awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and promote access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C. 

Do you have personal experience of drug use or hepatitis C? Do you have experience working in drug services, health inclusion services or with volunteers? We are looking for a passionate peer lead with good communication and organisational skills. We require a reasonable standard of education and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work. 

Working as part of a growing team, this post will continue the development and delivery of the Hepatitis C peer project, recruiting and supporting volunteer peers across Bristol and surrounding areas. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across the region and it’s desirable the post holder holds a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rehabilitation Music Therapist to join our Psychological Services Team. This role will require the successful candidate to provide specialist music therapy to children and young people accessing the neurorehabilitation, continuing care, or step-down services.

The music therapy service is part of the Psychological Therapies Services, that promotes child and young people-centred practice within a wider multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach. You will deliver child and family focused, goal led interventions, working in collaboration with the family and the team around each child or young person that you are allocated.

Role Requirements

• Provide high quality, evidence-based music therapy provision for children and young people, in partnership with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Undertake Psychosocial Assessments to assess the holistic needs of CYPF.
• Undertake specialist music therapy assessments of children with highly complex needs, e.g. co-occurring needs, through standardised and non-standardised assessments and clinical observations.
• Chair internal meetings to gain shared understandings of the presenting issues and intervention plans for CYPF.
• Attend and contribute to Multidisciplinary Team meetings, to discuss individual children/ young people and service in general, as required e.g. reviews, case conferences, clinics, etc.
• Promote collaborative working relationships through effective communication.
• Work therapeutically with children and young people who have complex needs and may present with mental health needs and/or behaviour that may be challenging associated with their acquired brain injury or the trauma experience.
