About the role

The Project Assistant will manage day-to-day activities for the School Health Integrated Programme (SHIP), working closely with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. Based in Harare, with implementation in Glenview-Mufakose District, the role focuses on coordination, monitoring, documentation, reporting, and supporting capacity-building initiatives to ensure successful delivery of project targets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SHIP activities with ministries, partners, and schools to meet project objectives.
• Organise capacity-building sessions for health workers and school health coordinators.
• Prepare activity reports and contribute to quarterly and annual donor reports.
• Monitor project implementation through site visits and follow-up actions.
• Support outreach activities and ensure proper record-keeping systems are maintained.
• Track project expenditure and monitor budget variance for compliance and value for money.
• Represent the programme at meetings with ministries and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate patient satisfaction studies and assist with operational research.
• Support partners in planning, monitoring, and quality assurance of project delivery.
• Identify underperformance issues and implement corrective measures in consultation with partners.

Essential

• Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related discipline (postgraduate degree an advantage) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience in programme or project management, ideally within an INGO setting.
• Knowledge of public health and eye health in Zimbabwe.
• Understanding of Disability Inclusive Development and experience working with OPDs.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation and research.
• Understanding of Zimbabwe’s health system and advocacy work.

Director of Fundraising and Development (Maternity cover)

JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Fundraising and Development (Maternity Cover) will provide strategic leadership and direction across all fundraising and income-generating activities, ensuring the charity continues to deliver against its financial objectives and accelerates long-term, sustainable growth across our philanthropic, public, and commercial income streams.
You will bring strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to equip, support, and empower the team through a period of organisational change. You will help the team optimise and make the most of the new organisational strategy, embedding strategic focus, effective decision-making, and collaborative leadership practices across the fundraising leadership group.

In this role, you will manage a small, high-performing team and oversee the creation of compelling narratives and effective engagement strategies that inspire donors, partners, alumni, and key stakeholders, supporting a resilient and diversified income portfolio.

Development

• To collaborate with the senior leadership team and trustees in setting organisational strategy and building strategic partnerships to support In2science’s vision for 2026 and beyond.

• Lead on planning, implementation and delivery of segmented fundraising and stewardship campaigns across programmes and audiences with a 2026 income target of £1.5m. 

• Lead and manage a diverse fundraising portfolio, including corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, research grants (e.g., UKRI), government funding, and individual giving.

• To lead a small but effective development team, including an external fundraising contractor to build upon our success to date to achieve funding targets and foster strategic relationships with funding and delivery partners.

• Budget and resource all aspects of development and communications, including engaging with external contractors to maximise our output and upskill our teams.

The Crisis Financing Advisor (Pooled Funds) will play a key role in advancing system change in crisis financing by providing technical assistance to the design, development, and strengthening of Start Network–led and supported pooled funds. The role focuses on strategic, policy, and programmatic inputs, rather than grant management or financial administration. The role will drive collaboration and learning across pooled fund initiatives within and beyond the Start Network, support member engagement, and contribute to innovative approaches that promote locally led, anticipatory, and effective crisis response. 

This role requires someone with in-depth understanding of the current humanitarian financing system and policy environment, direct experience of managing or advising pooled funds, as well as a strong track record in stakeholder management within membership organisations or networks.

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the regional fundraising team to find a passionate, talented individual to join them as a Partnerships Officer. This role will focus on delivering new partnerships with corporate businesses, and raising vital funds to continue invaluable lifelong support for all stroke survivors, just like Leighton.

The Role

As a Partnerships Officer you will build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with corporate business. The role will be focused developing new strategic partnerships. The main responsibilities will include:

• Acquiring new strategic partnerships 
• Developing a robust pipeline of high value partnerships
• Building strong relationships with businesses whose values align
• Connecting and delivering engaging strategies to achieve effective partnerships 
• Delivering exceptional stewardship to all corporate partners to meet income targets.

The Person

We are looking for someone who is confident, and has the tenacity to deliver new corporate partnerships. You must be ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic with excellent relationship building skills.

You should be a great communicator, with the ability to raise awareness of the Stroke Association at all levels. We are keen to speak to anyone who is excited at the prospect of building a new pipeline and portfolio of corporate partnerships. 

The role requires flexibility to maximise opportunities, and offers the autonomy to work on your own initiative. Previous experience in fundraising is desirable however, we are also keen to speak with people who have experience in business development and building successful partnerships who are keen to transfer this skillset into the rewarding world of fundraising.

About the role

Galop is looking for an experienced LGBT practitioner to provide advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of sexual violence. This post will focus on work with children aged 11 and younger adults up to 30, as this is where there is a rapid growth in demand, but may cover older adults if required.

The post will include criminal justice and non-criminal justice related work. The post holder will demonstrate an ability to undertake advocacy, including risk assessment, safeguarding, support planning and interactions with other professionals. They will have experience of offering empathic listening and effective interventions which enable children, young people and survivors of all ages to feel more empowered, informed and resilient.

The post holder will be proactive about their own learning and will be an excellent listener and communicator, be able to work in a calm and trauma-informed manner and be effective in their interventions to support change in survivors’ lives.

Location: Galop’s offices are located in London. This role will have the option of hybrid working.
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

The Head of Finance provides strategic and operational finance leadership across the organisation, working closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Senior Management Team (SMT), to deliver to the organisation’s strategy, relevant external reporting and provide assurance to the Audit & Risk Committee.

The Head of Finance is critical to the ongoing financial health of the organisation. Ensuring teams are equipped with the knowledge and data to develop and manage their budgets, the organisation is compliant with statutory requirements and financial planning is applied with a strategic lens.  The role requires a leader who has the ability to effectively lead their team with kindness and care whilst also achieving agreed targets and outcomes.

The Head of Finance will collaborate with the Director of Finance, SLT, and Heads of Department to design and implement a long-term financial strategy that supports the organisation’s goals and growth aspirations. Ensure this strategy is continuously reviewed and enhanced as needed.

The Head of Finance will lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring effective resource allocation. They will work closely with budget holders and the SLT to maintain accurate and up-to-date budgets through quarterly reforecasting. They will provide financial expertise and insights to the Board of Trustees, CEO, and senior management, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and financial sustainability.
