About the role

As the Brand and Creative Manager you will lead a team of two to collaborate with colleagues across the charity, external agencies and children and young people with cancer, and their families, to create and oversee the delivery of a calendar of content that lead to deeper levels of engagement, greater action and a significant increase in income. 

You will manage our brand identity, lead the on-going development and delivery of our brand guidelines and tone of voice workshops to empower colleagues to create their own audience-led communications. 

You will demonstrate the importance of diversity, accessibility and inclusion in everything we do, and review, feedback and sign off all creative design work, ensuring it follows our brand guidelines and tone of voice.

What will I be doing?

Brand

• Support the delivery of our programme of brand activations, increasing external brand knowledge, understanding and engagement through the development and delivery of high-quality, insight-driven activity.
• Manage our brand identity, lead the on-going development and delivery of our brand guidelines and tone of voice workshops to empower colleagues to create their own audience-led communications.
• Demonstrate the importance of diversity, accessibility and inclusion in everything we do.
• Review, feedback and sign off all creative design work, ensuring it follows our brand guidelines and tone of voice. 

Content

• Work with the Head of Strategic Communications and Brand to deliver our content strategy. 
• Oversee the creation and production of high-quality, impactful multi-channel creative and content. Stay on top of trends and audience insight and external innovation and inspiration. 
• Lead others to identify the best routes and resource to delivering creative projects; provide professional expertise and guidance about the most appropriate design and production solutions; responsible for ensuring the visual and verbal identity is being effectively implemented across a range of outputs, both online and offline. 
• Lead the team and work with a roster of freelancers, agencies and children and young people to create evergreen multimedia content, by creating user-generated guides and sharing support. 
• Deliver on-going inductions to our external vendors and training to internal colleagues.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

We are looking for 2 organised and dedicated Project Workers who have a strong empathy with single homeless people, to coordinate our intensive housing management services across our South London boroughs.

You will be joining a small , friendly registered charity and registered provider with a supportive team.

Job purpose

The Project Worker will be responsible for the delivery of a responsive intensive housing management service to clients allocated by the Team Leader.

The central aim of the role is to support homeless clients temporarily living in CLHT placements to become as independent as possible and to facilitate timely move-on into independent living settings.

This will be achieved through regular client-led keywork sessions and in close collaboration with external partners. 

The Project Worker will coordinate the day-to-day smooth running of each house they are responsible for.

Duties and responsibilities specific to the role

Intensive Housing Management

1. Responsible for a broad range of housing management activities, including signing up new residents, issuing licensing agreements, delivering new client inductions, occupancy management and eviction / abandonment.
2. Evictions are a last resort and CLHT works within the Homeless Link guidance on preventing evictions and abandonment.
3. Work collaboratively with the Finance team to coordinate rent/ service charge collections
4. Carry out regular occupancy checks.
5. Maintain accurate and timely records related to housing management activities, within the requirements of GDPR.
6. Maintain a healthy and safe environment and encourage clients to take individual responsibility for their living environment and for positive relationships with fellow residents.
7. Ensure the accommodation where clients live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with CLHT property standards.
8. Ensure the accommodation meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements
9. Work in close collaboration with the Maintenance team to ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and resolved.
10. To promote and encourage client participation in the Intensive Housing Management process and to act as advocate for clients when necessary.
11. This includes leading regular house meetings and encouraging clients to become ‘resident representatives’.
12. To document each visit to projects, detailing tasks undertaken, any changes that have occurred and other relevant information.
13. Manage antisocial behaviour and clients complaints in line with our Anti-Social Behaviour and Complaints procedures.

 ACCOUNTABILITY 

The Communications Manager will report to the Leadership Team. Latin Link seeks to ensure that every member of our team has opportunities for developing and learning new skills relevant to their work.

TIME COMMITMENT AND FLEXIBILITY  

We see this as essentially a full-time role, but we are open to a variety of flexible working arrangements to help the right person achieve a good work/life balance. The expectation is that the Communications Manager will be in the Reading office at least one day a week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the time.

SALARY  

The full-time salary for this role will be £28,500 per annum. All salaries are reviewed on an annual basis with any increase made from 1st April.

The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period, after which there is three months’ written notice period for both parties. Holiday entitlement for full time staff is 28 working days per year including all bank and public holidays. In addition to this we usually close for the period between Christmas Day and New Year.
