This is a pivotal time to join our growing Fundraising team as we work towards our strategy. As our Statutory Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, you will manage existing and develop new commissioner and partner relationships across local and central government, voluntary sector partnerships and other funding bodies, to ensure we can meet the needs of the increasing number of women we support across London and build on our systems influencing work nationally.

About Woman's Trust

The charity, established almost thirty years ago to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.04m and 41 staff in 2023/24. You will be joining the Woman’s Trust Fundraising team as we work towards our strategy 2022-2027, to double our income and the number of women we support each year. We are focused on developing innovative mental health services for young women and girls, launching peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. We are also committed to developing further awareness-raising workshops, and training for professionals and building on our research and policy work to improve systems nationally.

About you and how to apply

As a creative and tenacious fundraiser, aligned to our feminist ethos and our service users', you will have experience in securing multiple-year statutory grants and contracts, with the proven ability to effectively communicate services, and to develop commissioner and wider voluntary sector relationships, aligned to our strategic priorities. You will be able to manage and deliver the whole cycle of income generation, including regular prospecting, grant management and impactful funder reporting.

We are looking for a Corporate Fundraising Executive to transform lives through the power of partnerships!

Position: Corporate Partnerships Executive

Location: Reading / Hybrid, with at least one day per week in office - Role requires some travel across London and the southeast

Contract: Permanent, part time position - 18.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work outside of standard working pattern

Salary: Starting salary in the FTE range £28,722 – £35,103 per annum
(pro-rated salary £14,361 - £17,552 per annum)

As Fundraising Executive you will play a significant role in generating income, networks and relationships for the charity, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Support the ongoing development of a corporate strategy including a range of products and propositions
• Create a pipeline of new corporate partners
• Identify and secure corporate opportunities
• Deliver compelling proposals and presentations to companies
• Manage multiple on-going high value corporate partnerships

The successful Fundraising Executive will need to be passionate about social good, have a proven track record in securing high-value partnerships (ideally within charities) and be an excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills!

You'll have the opportunity to join a business that puts customers at the heart of all we do and shape one of the largest programmes being delivered to support people through the cost-of-living crisis.

We're pleased to have an opportunity to join our brand-new Debt Advice Team on a full-time permanent basis.

This role will follow our hybrid approach of home, office and resident visit working. Your office location will be either Blandford, Christchurch or Basingstoke. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a brand-new Debt Advice Service, where you'll play a key role in shaping and developing its offering during its inaugural year.

Alongside this, you'll provide comprehensive, day-to-day Debt Advice to customers, taking a holistic approach to their financial situations.

Collaborating closely with both established teams and newly created roles, you'll help deliver a well-rounded, ‘whole household' service that's tailored to meet the unique needs and vulnerabilities of our customers.

Your work will be instrumental in sustaining tenancies and enhancing residents' financial resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and up to date Debt and Money Advice within FCA guidelines
• Assist customers to prepare financial statements.
• Take a proactive and explorative approach to obtaining and understanding information
• Assist customers by negotiating by letter or telephone with creditors and other agencies e.g., fuel companies, local authorities, DWP and consumer credit companies etc
• Negotiate with third parties, including statutory and non-statutory organisations where required
• Prepare and present cases to the necessary statutory bodies and negotiate with third parties as appropriate
• Assist clients with other associated problems, referring to other advisers/agencies
• Provide advice and signposting towards, training or employment, linking up with internal and external specialists to assist
• Maintain accurate records of cases, in line with policy, procedure and legislation

We are accepting applications for unqualified Debt Advisers, with the understanding that completion of a Money Advice and Pensions Service (MaPs) Accredited qualification is achieved within a reasonable period once appointed. Salaries offered will reflect the relevant qualification status, with a view to increasing once achieved.

Your experience

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• Solid experience in providing advice, ideally within a similar setting, with an understanding of FCA regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong customer service skills are crucial, particularly in supporting vulnerable individuals and tailoring services to meet their unique needs.
• You should have experience managing client caseloads, and preparing cases for statutory bodies, with excellent communication skills across various channels.
• Collaboration and teamwork are key, as you'll work closely with colleagues and external partners while providing guidance to less experienced team members.
• A proactive approach to staying current with regulatory changes and a commitment to personal development, including obtaining a MaPs-accredited Debt Advice qualification if not already held, are essential.

• Advise CIEH's Board and Committees in line with the governance framework and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Provide high quality, professional governance services as well as support successful AGMs and elections.
• Work across a full range of governance activities, leading on identifying and delivering opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our governance.
• Provide support for fitness to practice cases and act as hearing co-ordinator to fitness to practice panels.

The contract will be for a period of 3 years, commencing January 2025. As such, the salary noted above does not apply, fees will be agreed as part of the Invitation To Tender (ITT) process.
