Richmond Fellowship’s community arts studio Art Matters requires a creative individual with an arts background to join our team as Studio Arts Facilitator.

You will have an arts background, qualifications and skills in a range of arts activities and will be involved in supporting attending artists to explore their creative interests during sessions and workshops.

You will be considered and respectful in your approach to your work and understand the benefits of creativity on mental wellbeing. Calm, resourceful, and enthusiastic you are highly motivated, hardworking, and keen to support people (service users, artists) in a creative and holistic manner.

You have experience in facilitating art groups, excellent communication skills and will help maintain a friendly and welcoming space, supporting people with all levels of creative experience.

You have good all round IT skills and are confident using Microsoft packages. You may also have experience using iMac editing software and social media platforms. You will learn and use Richmond Fellowship programmes, systems and processes daily.

As part of a small team, you will be required to work closely with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations. You will need to be flexible and positive and take ownership of tasks and deadlines.

Alongside the team you will enjoy your responsibilities in keeping the studio safe. You will support the implementation of Richmond Fellowship health and safety polices and carry out risk assessments as needed.

Mainly studio based, you may be required at times to work in an outreach capacity at other Surrey-based community hubs delivering workshops, exhibitions and arts and mental health promotion with occasional out of hours and weekend working.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for three Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) to join our team in Aylesbury.

The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

All Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups. 

A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical and emotional health, meaningful use of time, family and relationships, community engagement and activites, accommodation, physical and emotional health, offending as well as substance use (drug use and / or alcohol use).

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

We are looking for a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) to join our team in Aylesbury.

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) in this role you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service from the courts and probation for clients who are being considered for a community sentence treatment requirement, conducting initial assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. Facilitating comprehensive assessments and interventions for people who are attending court or have recently been released from prison to encourage engagement in services. You will also be required to manage a caseload.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a Remind Intensive Engagement Support Worker to work with our Remind Dementia services supporting people living with Dementia and their carers. As an Intensive Engagement Support Worker, you’ll work with key stakeholders, and in particular with the Team Leader and the Dementia Specialist Nurse, to enable people to maximise their potential and quality of life and live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

This is a full-time role for 37 hours per week, however part-time hours will also be considered. You’ll be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.

3. carry out a variety of essential project-related and administrative tasks which provide critical support to the rest of the team.

As a small organisation, all staff members help one another by taking on additional tasks.  You will therefore need to work flexibly and take on new functions as and when needed.

Unpaid Carers Support Southampton (UCSS) is a small team, working within Citizens Advice Southampton. There are an estimated 18,000 unpaid carers in Southampton: people who care for another adult due to illness or disability. Common examples might be a husband who cares for his wife who has dementia; a daughter who cares for her father who has Multiple Sclerosis; a brother who cares for his sister who has a learning difficulty.

The Role

The post holder will be part of a small team who have a shared interest in making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers throughout Southampton city. The post holder will offer front line support to unpaid carers. This will mainly be undertaken by phone, with some face-to-face work, and include carers assessments and reviews (training will be provided).They will actively listen to carers and provide them with information, advice, and support to enable them to continue living their lives to the fullest and reduce any negative impacts of their caring role. The post holder will also deliver some ‘outreach’ in the city. This might involve attending groups to talk to carers and raise awareness. They will be expected to assist with the planning and delivery of carer events eg. monthly carers lunches, and carry out other reasonable tasks in order to support Southampton’s unpaid carers.

This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.

About you

To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. The ability to plan and manage your own workload with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this role. Prior experience in using other Microsoft Office 365 applications to a high standard will be advantageous.

It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.

This role is homebased in the UK, you must live in the UK to be eligible. There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

The project:

We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

•    Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach. 

•    Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region. 

•    Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region. 

•    Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria.  

•    Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events.

•    Manage administration for the Kent Minerva team

•    Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for two Support Workers (Community Connectors – Engagement Team) to join our team. We have two positions available one position in Aylesbury and one position in High Wycombe. Please state on the supporting statement which position (or both) you are applying for.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

Aquarius was a subsidiary of Richmond Fellowship, with both organisations being part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. On 1st June 2024 Richmond Fellowship merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. At the same time, Aquarius became a subsidiary of Humankind, with no impact to terms and conditions of employment.
